That worked!!!! Took 20 minutes & the hardest part was fishing the tie through the hole. That and getting a light where you could see. Awesome video...thanks. NC State !!!!
Passenger side is the easy one. Upper door for top defrost is on the drivers side behind the cluster. McGuivering a fix for that took better part of a day. If the arm comes out door will drop out of the hings hole. A Royal PIA working in that tight area.
I have a similar issue, but the control arm is still good and attached to the vacuum motor. The control arm that moves the vacuum motor doesn't move at all when I change the vent control knob. I can manually move the vacuum motor forward if I push on it, but the control arm doesn't move by moving the knob. Any thoughts?
I am having the exact same issue. Mine is still attached I replaced a vacuum line and I cant find the part that is supposed to move the lever. It seems to have a good vaccum.
I was hoping this was the problem with mine...but I got in there and mines not broken where I can just put a zip tie on it it's still connected but doesn't move when I turn the vent selection switch. I guess it's the switch itself? If anyone knows what it is I'd appreciate it if you could please let me know. Thanks.
You keep showing a yellow vacuum line that is crimped or bent so much that it must be restricting the vacuum . Check it out. you should try to straighten the yellow line to get better vacuum pull.

Nice hack my friend. Thanks. Now come do the same think to mine. Permanent nerve damage to my arm & hand prevents me from doing this on my own.🙁
