how? why? denton is easily one of the best, most professional interviewers ever to grace the face of the earth. what possible reason could you find to hate him?
Anybody else notice that is interview is...perfect? Like, usually there are interviews with a few tiffs or disagreements. But this was solid and fluid. Excellent interview in my opinion, good work to both Seinfeld and Denton.
Check out Tim Ferriss' interview of Jerry... they don't really talk about Seinfeld, it's much more of an exploration of Jerry's craft. AMAZING interview, very conversation... and nearly 90 minutes long.
I recall watching this in 2007 thinking, yep, he’s 53 and looking old. Now watching in 2018 I’m looking at it thinking, god, he looks young like in his Seinfeld days.
YES! absolutely! I love CYE,it's like the afterlife of Seinfeld....I still miss george, kramer and jerry but...in a way I think I have finally accepted that Seinfeld is over, but Curb has definately fullfilled my craving for my favorite sitcom
It's his way of letting the guest articulate himself and be funny. Unlike interviews I've seen with say, David Letterman who tries to make the jokes himself.
Jerry is funny in a skit situation. I used to be laughing no end at Seinfeld, and it wasn't because of the other characters, his responses and facial expressions are actually very funny. But I don't think as highly of his stand up comedy. I think you'd have to know what he's talking about or where he's come from to find that funny, and to honest I think that's the case with most comedians.
@alZiiHardstylez What you have to understand is that Jerry wrote much of that dialogue, and rather than being selfish and giving himself all the good lines, he was willing to give a lot of the funny dialogue away in order to make the SHOW funny, not just himself.
He seems like a really cool guy. He really doesn't seem to be arrogant at all. Can anyone confirm? Incidentally, I haven't seen this movie but it looks quite funny.
Hey Danimal. I thought season 5 was good. not GREAT, but still really good. I thought the concept of the Blacks was hilarious, and I love the cousin who lived in LA but decided to move in just 'cause he could. He was an awesome addition. The only thing good about the Seinfeld Season was the Seinfeld stuff. Watching them work together was pure joy, and seeing the whole cast get back together but also be their actual selves was fantastic. As I said, the show SLOWLY waned. by 8 it was crap.
so the bees are the perfect society? Correct me if i'm wrong but aren't the male bees which aren't worker bees thrown out from the hive or killed after they "fuck" with the queen or fertilize the eggs or whatever?
I agree up to season 4 of CYE. Then the show slowly started deteriorating. There were still funny episodes and I have to say that the whole Seinfeld reunion actually happening within the construct of CYE was pure genius. But the last season I think didn't have funny episodes really. At best there were some funny bits but they were sort of gag bits. Nothing quite so ingenious as the early years like when he opened a restaurant or starred in The Producers.
The earlier episodes were better. In the earlier episodes, George was neurotic whereas in the later episodes he just shouted all the time. In the earlier episodes, Elaine was almost the straight character, whereas in the later episodes she was mean and sometimes aggressive. There's no way early Elaine would have gone out with a guy like David Puddy. But by the later episodes, I was with Vegetable Lasagna - I wish they would have just been quiet.
@j03l5k1 :-) I beat my head against a wall reciting that one. Australian isn't a race, or American, English, they're nationalities. It might sound picky to some but that's why we have language :-)
@TheRealFrostie Ooh I can do that too. I hate cool pillows, walks in the park, too many coffee choices, cops who are not corrupt enough. And now I wait for the comments... ;-)
He wasnt refering to Australia, that quote below is taken out of context..(like most quotes) he was "joking" about Melbourne. Melbourne is at the ass end of the world! lol Not in bad way its just right down the bottom.
Are you kidding? Season 5 with the kidney transplant and Richard Lewis was awesome, and I loved the Blacks as well in Season 6. I didn't like the Seinfeld season or care much for Season 8 though
It's true I am half Jewish and I've lost half my hair. I went to advanced hair they said they could help me replace it with advance laser tehnology, I said WTF! I only wanted you to help me find it!
I was in the audience…people went on Stupid - he is a Comedian not a God, not healthy worshipping people we don’t even know is very immature. Seinfeld was not in a good mood & Andrew hung on his every word - a wasted afternoon. We were told someone interesting was going to be on the Show…..when I found out it was Seinfeld, I was very disappointed. I didn’t clap, whistle, or yell at Seinfeld’s feet. He is a Comedian people !!!! I honestly wondered what all the fuss was, I thought Australians were not like crazy Americans, we saw on Oprah etc - obviously some Australians are…. In enjoy his humour on his TV show - the others with him are actually funnier, George steals the Show !!!
'just like australia' I hope those who are praising him are not australian. Because how somone can happily ganw on that bone of a cheap flattery and maintain a hint of self respect is beyond me.
The Bee movie wasn't even all that funny. Jerry is a freaking genius but I hope he stays away from movies. Ricky Gervais should do the same thing. His television is the funniest thing that has ever been aired ever. His movies however, suck.
LOL. You have obviously never been to australia? According to the 2006 census, its 3% aboriginal and torres straight islander(coloured skin) and over 70% of european ancestoral dissent. So yeah, a "few" white people
I dont like either of them particularly, but I'm pretty sure I meant Seinfeld. He's too arrogant and takes himself too seriously to be a comedian. And his observations are horrible and unfunny- but he looks so smug when he makes them.
Ahh the good old days when the public broadcaster had quality programming and not some warped bias non gender specific politically correct selective indoctrination
"why is a bee funnier than say, a moth?"
I love Andrew D :)
that shower joke from his father is such a good joke to some up the essence of the seinfeld show
*sum
Kramer
how? why? denton is easily one of the best, most professional interviewers ever to grace the face of the earth. what possible reason could you find to hate him?
He could be an American, that would _enhance_ him.
Anybody else notice that is interview is...perfect?

i totally agree, best interview that i had ever seen
Bees and moths are all sweet!
Hello , Thanks for this . I needed a Intelligent really good Laugh. Absolutely Hilarious .
I could hear Kramer saying well everybody’s gota be some place in that situation lol
I reckon Larry King could take a leaf out of Andrew D's book.
Btw, didn't even know this interview took place, thank you very much for uploading it.
hey i reckon everyone should get into more fights on youtube. Its a valuable way to spend your time
Bloody fantastic!

he never said he could act, but he can write, and that's why he is where he is.
i luv jerry he is such a funny nice guy

preeettyyy, pretttyyyy goooood
I'm with you all the way
@alZiiHardstylez What you have to understand is that Jerry wrote much of that dialogue, and rather than being selfish and giving himself all the good lines, he was willing to give a lot of the funny dialogue away in order to make the SHOW funny, not just himself.
Well that explains why he's funny about half the time.
He seems like a really cool guy. He really doesn't seem to be arrogant at all.
Can anyone confirm?
Incidentally, I haven't seen this movie but it looks quite funny.
hes arrogant alright but he more than makes up for it.
@Axl207 good lot of premises for your conclusion....

dude I am Aussie, and all I was saying is we hate being mistaken for the english
Seinfeld is brilliant. He deserves all the accolades that are given to him.
Bee Movie was underrated
"well everybody's gotta be some place.. "
I wonder if Jerry knew that Denton was a very smart humorist himself?
Jerry Seinfeld: very talented man, and a good guy :-) ......"moose blood - that stuff'll blow you're head off!" LOL :-D
@TheRealFrostie Ooh I can do that too. I hate cool pillows, walks in the park, too many coffee choices, cops who are not corrupt enough. And now I wait for the comments... ;-)
I hope youtube decides to bring back the comment "hide" button again..
Your reply proves my theory, doesn't it?
He wasnt refering to Australia, that quote below is taken out of context..(like most quotes) he was "joking" about Melbourne. Melbourne is at the ass end of the world! lol Not in bad way its just right down the bottom.
hahahahahahahahahahahahaha! funniest comment ever!!!!!!!!!
His dad sounds like Kramer.
The way jerry framed makes him look like Kramer
on behalf of everyone we're sorry to you. we apologise and will take your advice from now on and grow up. thanks and sorry once again..
what year was this
and what did he say after his visit to AU? ".. the ass end of the world".
well thats because Kramer is playing in those videos, Seinfeld himself cant act, he's just a troll
Are you kidding? Season 5 with the kidney transplant and Richard Lewis was awesome, and I loved the Blacks as well in Season 6. I didn't like the Seinfeld season or care much for Season 8 though
@pyros411 I know right? But oh well, they're in the moment so they'll realize they're being idiots eventually.
It's true I am half Jewish and I've lost half my hair. I went to advanced hair they said they could help me replace it with advance laser tehnology, I said WTF! I only wanted you to help me find it!
try naming a show "enough rope" these days...
Why did you break your rule and make a movie?
Money.
why do you care?

@Axl207 Hahaahahahahahaha
'just like australia'
I hope those who are praising him are not australian.
Because how somone can happily ganw on that bone of a cheap flattery and maintain a hint of self respect is beyond me.
Such is the Achilles' heel of Australians.
Believe it or not the Australians are white. I understand how that could have escaped your attention but...
This guys a meatball. I respect him more on Seinfeld
Yeah, he'll never amount to anything.
So yeah, a "few" white people
Is this interview in England?
No. England generally doesn’t use Australian presenters
Man what do I hate, White people, Black People, Red people Yellow people and what colour do you ahve more?
@MrDaGeil Without a good supporting cast, Jerry would be nothing.
Yea Jerry isint even that tall of a guy
I don't even understand how this is relevant to English.
that is so racist to the Australian people
I’m Australian and I laughed at it. We can laugh at ourselves
'Bee Movie' truly sucked
It stung(k)
That's because there was no beehive tossing.
He really has lost a lot of hair!!!
Worst comment ever...
The fact that you associate different groups of people based purely on skin colour shows your racist undertones. Get a life mate.
Like a limp fish, Seinfeld is not so funny unscripted.
seinfeld is losing hair..
bee movie was shit.
enough rope? what a stupid name for a show!
I dont like either of them particularly, but I'm pretty sure I meant Seinfeld. He's too arrogant and takes himself too seriously to be a comedian. And his observations are horrible and unfunny- but he looks so smug when he makes them.
i dont like him
