Jethro's comedy was brilliant.... sadly, he passed away on December 14, 2021 after contracting COVID-19. He is greatly missed.
RIP Jethro
Omg really?? Why didn’t I know this? Gutted
May Jethro live on forever in our memories. he is a legend.
I didn’t know this. I actually made my partner watch this the other night. I’m 46 he’s 62 and he had never heard of him. Omg he has lived in Newport south wales all his life just over the border from south wales to England is Bristol carry on passed Somerset your getting closer to jethro. Let me tell you he loves him now and is in disbelief he’s never heard of him. I’ve commented on suggestions for jethro so many times but this time Diolch thank you wow miss his wit xx
He had been fighting lymphoma (cancer) for 2 years, that might have had something to do with it.
What a great couple, laughter is the best medicine in the world.
Just a legend, I was so lucky to see him 4 times at the Lakeside Country Club Frimley Surrey and he would make me cry the whole way through, god bless him a remarkable man taken to soon 🙏
Jethro is a legend do more
Yes. I agree.
Love to fly over to brad and Lucy's for a piss up they are great fun and learn 🎸
A legend never dies, that’s the meaning of a legend.
Watching Brad laugh makes me laugh! Jethro was a very talented and genuine person. Had the good fortune to see him live about a year before he passed, may he rest in peace.
Jethro was unique - very crude but somehow delivered in a way that your Mum would still laugh! RIP Jethro
My mum was in her seventies and saw Jethro live twice. She loved him. The crudeness was lost in the charm he had.
My mum's in her 60's and she introduced me to Jethro many years ago. She absolutely loved him
Saw him live absolutely brilliant .rip .Jethro.
I'm originally from Jethro's part of the UK, and i've had the pleasure to see him live at his club. It's a night i will never forget.... there were two blonde girls in the front row, and one of them had her feet up on the stage.... so he walked over to her, looked her in the eyes, then looked up her skirt, then said "Not a Natural Blonde then?".... 🤣
Love your channel, and especially this reaction. Have a good Xmas and New year. Cheers.
😮
Jethro is a legend! It makes it funnier when you get those place references 🤣
Hey you two👍that was brilliant, Jethro sadly passed in 2021 and he was always funny, the places he talks about are small towns and villages in the SW England area where he's from hence his accent which makes it even funnier like some sort of mad farmer. I've never seen a Jethro set and not laughed he's great fun and watching that with you two creasing up was gold. Cheers✌️🍻
So pleased that guy was a friend of mine. And I love your reactions to him. Surprised you understood but. Brilliant. From GB.
Awesome 😊
Saw him live once he was absolutely brilliant 👍
Great reaction. Seeing you both creased up. Jethro is a legend
I hope you do more Jethro, there's a fair bit of material out there. Full shows.
I don't think I've heard him repeat any joke in any of his full shows. His delivery is just so spot-on. :)
A sad loss to the world when he went.
I really didn’t know he passed. My partner never heard of him but said his wit was like des o connor I nearly spat my drink out x
I loved his ‘tin bath and the skittles team’ joke.
We saw one of his shows in Worthing some years ago. You were still reeling from a joke and he was already into the next one.
It was non stop from start to finish. Brilliant. He's very sadly missed. RIP Jethro.
I really miss Jethro but vids like this allow me to remember the times we went to see him. Thanks again for presenting him on UA-cam. Greatly appreciated.
Saw Jethro in a show down in Bournemouth. My ribs were DONE from laughing.
I sooo wished I'd seen him.
Saw Jethro live in my town of Trowbridge Wiltshire in 2014 absolutely brilliant show was in tears laughing. RIP Jethro 🙏 😇
I dare say Jethro's funeral is on here somewhere....it was a HUGE community gathering in his beloved home city. Everyone loved Jethro. It's important to know many of the place names he drops into his comedy... the man was always true to his surroundings and upbringing.
I was in a band playing at a wedding reception where i live in north Devon back in 1987 after an hour we stopped for a break and unannounced Jethro walked up on stage right in front of my drums did a 45 min set, i had never heard of him before i was laughing so much i fell of my drum stool, and that got a laugh, never forget it.
Thanks to you guys I am rediscovering a great unsung hero of a comic. 😂
Hi Guy's i think this was the best yet, you 2 crack me up, thank you so much, more Jethro please , ATB Wayne UK............
Theres so much Jethro content out there. Loved him.
Much-loved Jethro, with his tales about Denzil Penberthy and Slipalong Trevaskis.
Oh man, Jethro is a national treasure! He is one of the best comedians we (UK) has ever produced!!
Jethro is a uk legend, these types of jokes will never be on tv ever again.
one of his biggest fans was Jim Davidson, another good comedian. see the two of them doing a skit.
Jethro is brilliant, sadly he passed recently, but made so much good stuff to watch
WOW! What an intro! 🤣Now onto the reaction 🤣...I absolutely love Jethro, when he passed 2021, we lost a big part of comedy and he will be sadly missed for a long time to come.
You did well to understand him. Im from the UK and i struggle RIP Jethro.
Jethro's best Joke, 'The wife was sunbathing nude on the beach, eventually the coastguard came along and said to me, would you please ask your wife ro close her legs as the tide wants to come in'.
Love hearing the place names from around where I live - Redruth - Bodmin - Camborne...... bleddy Denzil Penberthy.
RIP JETHRO ❤
From a Scotsman, this guy is the best. Jesus a skaild ma beer.
If you appreciate comedy Mike Reid in concert is a must. The man is a comic genius
Maybe my favourite comedian. Please do more ❤
That was hilarious, and watching your reactions nearly made me piss myself laughing😂
Jethro was a legend.
God love the craic between you two brilliant n better than that is that your wife in the picture lol.
No time to breath, you may miss something.
Brilliant comedian and a a good bloke.
Some of those jokes are ones I have on records by several comedians, but Jethro told a bunch of great originals too
Jethro told them first.
@@jackwhitbread4583 Really? How did he go back to the 1940s and tell them on recordings????
Has me in tears too.
Town and country comedy is ageless.
As a heart attack survivor I was getting worried for Brad at times there 🤣🤣🤣
Your laughter is as funny as the material, I love it, keep it up!👍🏻👍🏻
Unfortunately never got to see him live, would have loved to he was brilliant
saw him live in oxford once thought id die laughter he was the best comic ever
I keep watching this reaction because it makes me laugh at you guys laughing. Jethro is comedy gold.
this man is a legend
Do more Jethro. He has so much material, all funny.
Jim Davidson.....................He and Jethro we'er great friends
Laughed until I cried.. so much funnier watching him with you guys x
first time ive watched you both, great hosts welcome to Jethro's world
Those one liners are going to be popping up in mind for a life time 🫶🍺
I remember first seeing Jethro on video in the 90's...I even detoured while on a trip to Cornwall to try and meet him at his home where his venue was in Lewdon
...I met a chap outside that looked just like him in the wood shed and he told me he was Jethros brother and Jethro was away...I think back now...and I wonder....Hmmmm......True story
You have to do more Jethro reactions, they dont do comedy like this any more!...also well done for understanding the accent!
There is a short clip called "Dead cat", it's hilarious and I'd love you to react to that!:)
It was priceless watching ure face ,watching jethro
merry xmas brad and lucy hope yous well 🤣🤣 love jethro funny man
😂😂😂😂😂 As we say here Absolutely bleddy brilliant 👏 thanks ❤😂😂😂classic lmfao ty😂😂😂
😁
Lucky enough to see Jethro (Geoff Rowe) twice in Torquay. You've come a long way from Deep Dyke Dish.
I laughed so much I nearly spat my beer out fucking brilliant
I am from Cornwall he will always be legendary like King Arthur
Those of us who grew up in Britain during the 70s were raised on this kind of dirty humour. You had more implied versions of these kind of jokes on the TV, but down at the local British Legion or wherever, this kind of joke telling was standard.
Part of what makes blue jokes funny is how the line at the end suddenly turns the joke massively filthy, and the harder that turn is the more shocking - and therefore even funnier - the joke becomes.
His comedy was popular for those that liked that kind of thing but he would rarely if ever get the TV time unlike other comedians who could adapt their humour for a TV audience. He still sold videos and dvd's so he wasn't hurting for money but he's not a name that comes up often outside the South West region.
Some of his best stuff was on the Des O'Connor show don't forget. Des used to be nearly on the floor laughing. Try the "Train don't stop at Bodmin on a Wednesday " joke.Bloody priceless.
You make my day guys 😂😂😂
I've seen Jethro live a couple of times, and God bless him he will be so missed by us. We live in New Zealand, and people don't always see the funny side to his humor. You two however, are spot on. It is so good to see you guys really having a damn good laugh! Good on you two, and can I suggest you have a listen to Lee Evans. He is superb!
I was at this shpw, Brewhouse Theatre Taunton. Never been so worn out laughing.
Jethro's real name was Geoff Rowe.
no
Keep having fun folks 👍🏴
Geoff rowe is a legend down these parts and is still sorely missed
This was the British sense of humour before woke.
Glad you like it.
My late mother went down to Cornwall for every performance
of Jethro she could and met him many times.
She could have been there for these recordings.
I do miss him and her deeply.
He is so funny he could bring on a seizure ! (RIP) old chap , loved by all.
Never seen you guys laugh so much, yes he is funny I hope you got all the jokes.
His timing is amazing. He was also revered by his fellow comedians which is great praise from his professional peers. He makes me laugh at the same jokes time and time because they are so good.
My stepdad used to love him, but in 80s-90s I thought he was naff old-school ( plus my stepdad was a wanker) but I finally got him only a few years before he died. I am from the west so mabey it was too local when I was a young man looking anywhere else for ideas. Such is the circle of life sometimes
one time when we went to his club he decided that my hubby and his brother looked like the chuckle brothers i have never laughed so much .i come from one of the places he mentioned called Bridgwater in Somerset
Taking a dump in the cistern is known as top decking or upper decking.
In the UK a pram is what those in the US call a baby carriage - it's short for perambulator.
Bridgwater is a town in Somerset UK where Jethro did shows for the carnival fund raisers
when he was not so famous and he did the same with many towns he played in making
fun of them......He was hilarious especially live but could also tone it town for TV.....
Jethro is an original
Legend!
You will not hear a better Cornish accent.
RIP Jethro.
Jethro was one hell of story teller 😂😂😂😂😂 so sad he passed the way he did😢
I watched the whole thing. Very funny.
RIP Jethro, a very funny man!😅
You both at your best great one
freakin enjoyed it a ton. epic energy. so unique 😍😍😍I'll leave you with a request. You have to react to October Ends ' new song, it's mind-blowing!
Best wishes from Northern Ireland.
Brilliant. The one you missed was when Jethro had twins, he went to a florist and said “I want some flowers, my wife has just had twins” the florist said “do you want a vase to put them in” Jethro said “No we already have a pram”
Their album 'Kings of the Wild Frontier' is an absolutely unique classic.
man, that was REALLY crude but my god it was funny. RIP Jethro, one of the last truely great comedians.
Galaxy Quest, brilliant film so under rated.
Jethro, always did Cornwall Proud, didn’t live that far from me. These sort of jokes are common place down here, especially some of the older boys in pubs.
I grew up in a farming area in Devon on the edge of Dartmoor and agree with you that those sort of jokes were common in Devon and Cornwall.
I saw him live twice and loved it.
I also have several of his DVDs.
What was nice was when Jethro died, Camborne train station had RIP Jethro written on their information screens.
Here''s a short one for you two JeThRo: "LIVE" - SUPER RARE ! - Befor We Start 2 - HILARIOUSLY FUNNY if you search there are several short JETHRO clips marked RARE maybe you could edit them together"
I think that his West country accent makes his comedy funnier. RIP Jethro xx
I’ve requested this many times
Lol
Brad and Lucy, are brilliant, there as funny as Jethro.
Film in the 40's and 50's looked a lot more clear back then too. It's the age of the tape material itself coupled with getting used to new quality.
Brilliant
Love Lucy ❤ Brads reactions are Fab 👍
brad is nearly falling off his chair lol
My daddy loved him
He was brilliant sad he died with covid .Rip Jethro
Lucy is lovely, you married well Brad. Good for you shipmate.
