Something i absolutely loved to do in cold war was equip air patrol and wait, sometimes someone calls in a harp or a vtol or even a gunship, then activate it and ruin someones day
Same lol or they’d call in a harp and an air patrol then I’d call mine and it would shoot their harp and air patrol down
The neat thing about the Air Patrol is that it can be taken down by another Air Patrol.
Air patrol is WAYYYY more useful than u think. Example ur team down by a couple points and the enemy team calls in a attack chopper harp and gun ship or vtol. U call in an air patrol all that goes away in one swoop
I’ve said it before, but Ghosts Squad Member streak was overpowered! (If you knew how to use it). Pair it up with an ammo crate and body armor streak and put those down before you cal in the squad member and it will pick up both armor and a random gun from the crate, with a chance of getting a mini gun… So you get an AI Jug

The squad mate alerdy has armor even without picking it up tho
air patrol is super common in really high skill lobbies, its almost mandatory and its pretty common for the team with less air patrols to just get rolled by streaks and lose
When the other team is spamming VTOLs and Choppers, Air Patrol is VERY useful.
The Sentry turret in AW actually had an upgrade to make it- AI controlled, fires Rocket, fires EM1 laser, 360 turn radius, ext. all the streaks had upgrades.

I actually really like the air patrol. It’s useful if there’s a gunship or chopper gunner and you can’t go lock or track a launcher

I want customizable score streaks like AW had. That was the coolest thing and it literally made the game cool. It made scorestreaks feel how they should and do what you want.
The lack of streaks in general was the issue in Ghosts both the assault and support packages needed another two rows at least
Air Patrol has more uses and is better than the launchers in the game. No flares going off and it counters others using Air Patrol to take down your streaks, plus watching the dog fights between air patrols is amazing.

That's exactly the problem! Why should someone do the work for an AC130 if it can just be destroyed by little Johnny No-Thumbs with absolutely no work?

@@Omegaxtreme really? whenever i use my gunship all people do is sit outside with launchers. I use uav war machine and gunship but sometimes i’ll switch it up to a chopper gunner if i get above 15k score in a game

WP from MW removed enemy health regen and lowered their health, it also made them cough to show their location, it was also patched to be less effective on allied vision. you didnt do your research on it
same for the counter UAV, you can call it in off the map for the full duration, but you wouldnt get the scrambler effect on peoples hud

White phosphorus is devastating in ground war. You’re blinded to snipers and other killstreaks
MW Cruise Missile is imo, the best way to counter higher streaks like the VTOL

The armor in cw can be very situationally important. If your playing S/D and it’s a 1v1 those extra hits can be a game changer.
Do you realize that's how WP actually works in real life. Its was originally a smoke screen then they realized they can weaponize it

Melee with the combat bow is amazing. In MP and especially in zombies.
the sat com was amazing even in free for all, you could use the perk where all sat coms become yours and get an avanced uav for free using the other sat coms in the map

Hey the air patrol is actually good if you call it in at the same time as the enemy does you get a cool Easter egg and. IT DOES NOT HAVE A COOL DOWN YOU CAN STACK IT AND CHAOS I PLAY COLD WAR IT IS GOOD!!! ok cruise missile MW 2019 is good the animation is SICK and REALISTIC AND IT IS OP!!! This is all my opinion besides the patrol part

sam turrets had no health at all in cw. air patrol was good for streaks, or s&d so you dont have to choose a differrnt class every time someone calls in a vtol or summin. air patrol is a must have for most gamemodes. white phosphorus is pretty op imo especially back in early mw.

What people forget is that the support squad mate can actually capture the point in hard point and domination, plus if you threw down ballistic vest and the ammo crate he will grab both a vest and weapon

Speaking of scorestreaks. My most used ones in BO3 are HC-XD, C-UAV, and Cerberus. Though I occasionally use Dart, Care Package, RAPS, and Hardened Sentry

The best application for the sentry turret in Cold War is in zombies holding down a window or in a boss fight in outbreak. Same with the combat bow

The CW Air Patrol shouldn't be on the list. The thing literally invalidated virtually every other streak in the game, unless your team had one too
I sometimes use the cruise missile to fly it through a window to get rid of campers

The aw turret could be upgraded to be ai controlled but it made it more expensive

Actually, the Air Patrol for Black Ops Cold war is very useful against Strafe Runs, Choppers, VTOL, and Gunship because those are very hard to take down with just a launcher.

Yeah the cruise missile was not the Best But I stopped using because when cold war took over warzone they updated the multiplayer in mw2019 and the cruise literally took like a minute between the time you start controlling it and it hits the ground whereas before it was like 15 seconds

Air patrol does not belong on this list! It was a required streak in hardcore. Lots of strategy of when to use it. Definitely not useless. 🤦♂️

It’s actually a big downgrade from the emp system since once you call it in the jets zoom across the map once and that’s it while the emp systems effects lasted 50 seconds
