@@jeffzest8393 there's a video of that. He hid inside the platform which they then pulled over the Wall using the crane and emerged from it when they've pressed it on the other side of the wall
Even after you come to understand that "magic" is really all illusions, its still incredible how real the tricks appear... I bet there were alot of pissed off magicians when this show came out
I can't be the only one thinking that magicians would make a hell of a lot more money if they showed people how the trick is done towards the end in a live show...they'd be fascinated
It's a neat trick, however, while I know it would be near impossible to this trick without a screen, I've always disliked tricks that involved a screen or a curtain, because it takes away from the thrill. I know that everyone knows that all of the tricks at a magic show are illusions, however, to be fun and thrilling the tricks need to be believable and appear as realistic as possible-when a magician has to hide behind a curtain or screen it takes all of that away.
I remember when this came out in late 97 (David Copperfield used to have magic specials in the 90's). A young street magician David Blaine had a special called Street Magc and Magic man back in May 1997 on ABC. The most interesting part was it was something different than stage magic. No fancy stages, attractive female assistance, music, just close up magic and card tricks.
if he can walk through a brick wall why do the assistants have to remove the screens when he can walk through a brick wall? That's how I knew it was fake
SUBSCRIBE TO ME FOR NO REASON That’s the only reason you knew it was fake? Did the fact that the activity was called a “trick” not give you any indication that it might be fake?
Now it's the magician's turn to pass through the wall.
Blocks our view for 15 seconds straight.
MAGIC!
Hope you're still alive since this was posted 4 years ago 🤣🤣 funny as hell
It’s a very, very thick wall! Takes 15 seconds to get through it.
@@photojenic2531 hope you're still alive too😂😂
“Now the assistant gets to try out her Dramatic Skills!” 😂😂😂😂

Having an assistant from the opposite gender is also to distract viewer's attention.

A bunch of fools🤣🤣🤣
...not unlike Meg Ryan in the Diner scene.
The palming of the egg was more impressive than the actual trick! 😂
very true
No bap
Especially when he wear a black glove and the egg is white
yeah, I saw how he did the actual trick right away. lol
@@1kprofitt781 very pretty assistants girls with the magician he’s lucky 🍀 😊
This is the first one I’ve been able to 100% figure out before seeing how it’s done
Same haha
Yup
Same. I wish I could shut my "smarts" down and enjoy it. Dang it. Knew how it was done AS it was being done.
So cheesy

Fun fact: he is the most honest magician
Hahahahahahahahah
Fun fact #2-in the magic business he's the most hated, which is why he hides his identity.
Fun fact #3: There are multiple masked magicians.
The FUNNEST FACT EVER: Coconut-head knows that he never can do magic
Fun fact #4: Penn Jillette is also a very honest magician.
I love how depressed the announcer sounds
Ok them how did Copperfield do at Great Wall of China?!
Probably because he's missing on the girls (I won't)
He used to be a magician

@@wrmusic8736 So it was a camera trick? I have read where certain acts are just for TV, and people there know what happened.
Now, this is not convincing.

lol!
With talent only matched by the girls on the Price is Right.
I love these voice overs, this bloke has an amazing voice and so ironic and pisstaking.
Its Mitch Pileggi, who played Assistant Director Skinner in The X Files.
it kinda sounds like the voice from Mythbusters

The real magic is, wheres the cameraman?
Edward Richtofen dont get it.
HonorableRussian the cameraman is the one who’s moving the vision in the video, why you didn’t know that you ant sized brain person
Clickbait Cops it was a joke
Behind the camera
oh yea Where is the cameraman
thats extremely obvious when they move that thing away the guy is walking with it hiding behind it
Chief Beef shut up junior .....Just kidding
So true. All magic really is an illusion. The guy clearly was hidden behind the thing those woman had.
Chief Beef It's extremely obvious that you don't know how to use words.
RichDaPotato prob english is not his language
Chief Beef at least some people arent idiots
Man I used to watch this show all the time. Now that I can figure them out on my own it's still fun to watch this all be explained
I'm more impressed with the egg palming skills. It is very convincing!
yea me too...skillful hands
Probably easier to do than constructing a brick wall and having assistants and lighting directors.
Sid the science kid: Hold my apple juice
You can actually see his tail flap during the trick.
What ?
Oh NO I said my Opinion!?! I love you so much!JK!
im dieing laughing
Not only his tail is flaping ...due to distraction.
Honestly, if I were at a magic show and I saw his trick performed like this, I would ask for my money back.
This is a magic show not a bank.

I'm not a magician, and I knew how it was done the moment it was shown.
Probably one of my favorites. Copperfield's heart monitor gag on his Great Wall illusion was a nice touch.
Copperfield's Great Wall trick was performed differently than this trick originally done by Houdini.
So how did he lay the egg ?
he was holding it from his thumb

Penn & Teller have pretty much become the richest magicians around by essentially doing exactly that.

Magic Secrets Revealed Hi!
I just wanted to compliment the magician, not ridiculing myself.
... no worries, it's all good.
Been watching the masked magician for years now . He is one of my favorites. In top 2.
You can see that the shadow is bigger than him when he walks through, revealing the fact that he stepped closer to the light source.
I already solved the egg thing. Pretty simple but abit difficult to pull off without being busted.
He put it into his other hand and then concealed it into his right coat sleeve. It's obvious.
