So, I did some testing. Turns out, for the chromium sulfide recipe, "1 portion" of sulfuric acid is ONE LITER of sulfuric acid. The recipe works, far as I can tell, it just takes a utterly ridiculous amount of sulfuric acid (since the acid recipe produces 10ml per liter of water), and a frankly insane amount of time simply waiting for your dozens of campfires to be done cooking in order to make enough. I think one of the two cooking recipes is broken on the numbers side, since no reasonable game designer would make the grind this ridiculous, even for end-game items.
After further calculation, it seems to be a ratio error on the back-end. Making enough Acid and Sulfide to make a single chromium-tanned hide takes, get this... NINETEEN STRAIGHT IRL DAYS of pure campfire cooking time, using 6 portion slots in the cooking pot, on a single campfire. It's not intentional.
@@Cid69 Ya I was trying that and if I recall correctly you can. To be honest I think that is how we are going to have to do it because it's going to take a long to make the items.
Any idea if we'll be able to turn leather into sturdy leather? Or does it need to be made from hides? Will be annoying if I can't convert my crates of leather into sturdy leather.
Last I looked sturdy leather is so painful to make I can't imaging anyone actually making it, let alone experimenting on leather. I am not sure though :)
8:22 steven briefly flashed red after the fall, so they do take fall damage
Ah didn't catch that. Now I need to test fall distances with Elks...

You can heal the elk with poultices before they die in 24 in game hours. Steven is most likely dead down in that pit.
If any one is having problems putting and taking things off the elk you have to hold the Control key.
Thanks bro
Idk why no one say that
You hero!
You can get your elf back up. It's going to take a bit of work but you're going to have to create a ramp.
Thankfully this is a creative world for demo purposes, so Steven will be staying in the pit ;)
@@Cid69 How could you?!?!
Let Steven out! :)
The reason you couldn't make the chromium sulfate is that each batch of sulfuric acid makes 20 mL sulfuric acid. But the chromium sulfate need 2 L.
Thanks, I wonder if I can empty the contents of the contaminate cooking pot into a bucket to get to a full litre or not?

Are you using mods, in the start of the video, what are those shelves with like spices on it?
Those are just Vanilla Clutter, I don't think they are craftable though just from creative.
