    You gave your dessert order. Then these all you can eat sushi restaurants always stop giving you sheets. It's normal because the dessert order is the signal for: we're done.

      It's the first thing you should think about when you decide to open an all you can eat. If they're to ignorant to consider that possibility then they're too ignorant to run an AYCE. It's a very simple to follow line of logic. Too many resturant owners think that if a customer manages to not get ripped off, they're somehow breaking the law, they have this ridiculous entitlement towards milking people for more than is reasonable, it's pathetic.

      LOL...you could tell that there were thoughts going on in their head when they saw it but they also wanted to take a photo shortly after. They were also very excited to find out that there would be a couple of videos to promote their restaurant, as we were leaving.

    When I was lifting at my peak about a year and a half ago, I’d have my Sunday cheat meal. I went to a Korean bbq & was cut off for eating twelve bowls of the rice they serve and eating through the premium menu twice. You should try a Korean bbq next.

    The correct way to eat sashimi is turn ur sashimi to the side useing your fingers then turn upside down and only dip a little bit of your fish in the soy sauce. Ginger is to cleanse your palate. That's proper etiquette in Japan . Now sushi Wich and s the rice roll it's ok to use chopsticks.

    When eating at AYCE places do you guys tip afterward as well? Seeing how much yall can eat I am sure it would be so helpful to the establishment for some extra money. (Especially after re-opening due to COVID/high rents/etc).

    I have never understood why a staff member at any restaurant would care how much you eat...the owners sure I get it, they are losing profit, but the wait staff make money off tips and keeping you happy and keeping your needs met. If you leave a good tip why would they care if you stick it to the man?

      As a server I can help you there. They are trying to minimize the chance of an upset customer as much as possible by double/triple checking that they are sure about the quantity they order knowing that the customer must be charged for any uneaten sushi.

    I'm so happy I went before 2nd and 3rd lockdowns. Everything in this video was available and they do keep bringing order forms. By far the best AYCE in Edmonton. Even if you don't want ayce they have a good menu. Thank you Joel and Scott.

    Another great video. I love how you don't make us listen to the sound of your chewing. You are also so neat and polite about it, so it's just satisfying to watch you eat anything. I'm not sure why sushi is so satisfying to watch, maybe it's just the way you eat it? I personally am not a huge fan of sushi, I like the cooked stuff and vegetarian rolls, love tempura rolls and tamago. I still try various sushi despite my dislike for raw fish. I do agree with you about the rice on the outside, it feels like a more satisfying bite and experience with rice on the outside of the roll. Another great video, keep it up ♥

    Pro/Cultural Tip: Dip the sushi FISH side down into the condiment. You taste the flavour better and you won't absorb too much salty flavours via the rice. Rice will absorb too much sauce, so always taste fish side down :)

    If you ever come to Reno, NV, USA you have to go to Ohana Sushi. This is the only sushi place I’ve been to where there is literally nothing on the menu that is mediocre, everything is fantastic, the service rocks, and the staff is super friendly.

    Try the garlic red garlic sauce. The one with the rooster on the front with green lid. I mix that with soy, and a little bit of the hot Wasabi. Delicious.

    Joel I noticed with the nigiri, you dip the rice side down in the soy sauce, it’s recommended with nigiri to dip fish side down so the rice doesn’t absorb so much and create a salt bomb in your mouth! Just food for thought 😉

      A filling meal for me (when I can afford it) is one or two appetizers, a small soup and forty or fifty pieces of sushi.
      Even then, I'm hungry a couple hours later, sushi is not filling at all.

    Escolar. In Hawaii we call it Swai. If you eat more than 4 oz of it, you become the king of the porcelain throne for a day. Cooking it doesn't help it much. Usually people here will limit themselves to 4~6 oz., but no more than that.

    Dough from the dessert is from China. Its condensed milk with fried dough bun. In chinese is called Man Tau..Cheers
