They were not fined for their response to the Haka.
They were fined for crossing the center line. The same reason that the French were fined in 2011.
Yes but them crossing the line was part of their response, so yeah, they were fined for their response
@boneair in hindsight, they were fined because of their response.
@@runnitstraightnz why does J call it ""HACKAA"
@boneair J really hacked the word.
Was the springboks also fined for breaking their world cup dream
They were fined for PASSING THE HALF WAY LINE! not for being disrespectful.
As you Were That’s not the rule, you just have to be 10m away
@@jacksonmackaymq no. You're NOT allowed past your own half.
JACKSON MACKAY no the team facing the challenge stays on or behind the halfway line.
@@jacksonmackaymq WRONG.
JACKSON MACKAY your information is 4 years out of date. Bad luck old chum.
The all blacks werent upset about it. Ask anyone who knows haka etiquette we want you to get up close and personal.
Ditto Ra - and congrats to UK & all countries taking part - nothing like a good game of Rugby to bring the country together!!
@@joanne4758 Would that it was a nice game. It was bloody horrible to watch even while winning.
Ra Elkington why do teams think it upsets us it really doesn’t, in fact I would like to see the challenge actually laid down for them to pick up
@Annette Worrow because people are clueless idiots.
@@annetteworrow5675 People forget that the other part of a haka is learning how to face it aswell as perform it. Growing up doing it ive found the best way is to lock eyes with someone performing it to you and face them with the same intensity as its being done to you. Mlre oftern then not. When ive done that ive found thats the best way to accept the challenge and you come off the aggressor in a weird way.
As a Kiwi I love to see the haka get some sort of response.
@Johnny R like watching a tv show if you dont like it dont watch it
@Johnny R shut the fuck up little bitch
@Johnny R @Johnny R you ignorant fuck, the opposite team can do what ever they want they could run around and keep training they could ready up they don't have to accept the challenge, and the fans can do whatever they want they can sing dance ect.. But don't go mocking the haka if you don't know shit about it. You racist fuck you wouldn't have the balls to stand in front of a group of men doing the haka, you'd shit your pants
@Johnny R little pussy bitch
@Johnny R please don't ever come to NZ your stupidity might rub of on our people and then we would all conform and for get about MANA which by the way you don't have 😂😂😂😂😂😂🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🖕
Just like the French did in 2011, England crossing the line proved that they were up for the challenge. As a New Zealander, I found it awesome. It makes it all that more exciting!
SO MISLEADING CLICKBAIT TOTLE
Mistake England and France made is they didn't keep coming and kick some ass. Pull that shit in a hockey game here in Canada and most anywhere else and you are going down.
@TheSmithersy All right point taken. Here we believe no team taunts another team especially before the game even starts. Also not giving a firm response tells us the fans they are not much of a team and not worth supporting. The day will come when an opponent crosses that center line and starts kicking NZ ass and that will be the day I rejoice in. It will happen as every opponent plainly does not like this haka whoie. Why this is allowed by governing bodies is beyond me.
Kiwi
thank you for that bro, a lot of people slagged England off for doing it. Haka is a challenge and I bet the AB's loved it.
The V looked better than a semi circle :)
@O Barker Didn't sound like they were joking. I think you're giving them too much credit lol.
College rugby, the whole school does haka. I thought England looked wicked. A war formation, and won.
The formation wasn’t a problem. It’s cause they crossed the half line
I liked the V looked like they were ready to attack
i thought both teams looked like a shit school talent show that no one cares about or wants to actually waste their afternoon watching
I'm Welsh but you gotta love rugby players sense of humour. Good people. There will always be massive rivalry but there is never hatred. Not from true rugby fans anyway
I'm Irish and have been to 6N matches many times. You're absolutely right.
I’m English and the Scots hate us for certain.
100% , no room for hate only respect
@@tombuchan-steele8184 not just the Scots the entire 6n is England vs the rest every match again you only root for England when you're English or if France is playing like the what is rugby again France and not the wow that is amazing France (I prefer the latter version of the French team,)😜
thanks for confirming that. worrying you felt the need to...
Marler needs a show of his own
Warzone Morloc 40k travel programme with Dan Cole would be the tits
A Travel Man episode with Richard Ayoade would get my vote 👍🏼
Joe Marler, Haskell and the Honey Badger on tour... imagine the outtakes!!
Worth every penny, let's keep this going.
Alan did you pay it ?
I agree. And I'm a Kiwi. Loved England's response to the Haka and they took us to the cleaners in that game. Amazed by the poor showing in the final however. Oh well, that's sport. Look like a good bunch anyway.
@@aperaruapeeta4309 No one asked me to, but all in all for world professionals it was a piddling fine.
As a kiwi, the haka is a challenge, the Poms stood in a way to say “yeah we’re here” brilliant!! In NZ when a haka is done, some teams walk right up to their faces to face the challenge. I just love Joe’s sense of humour about paying the fine “am I? So it wasn’t a wind up?” 😂 Classic!
As an All Blacks fan I miss the days where the opposition got up in the face of the haka and I think its bullshit that England got fined!
Blame the rugby authorities. All this PC crap about not offending anyone especially the sponsors!
Ffs, they got fined for fucikgnpassong the centre line not disrespecting, fucking hell man
Think why some got upset is cos they hate England
@@Goggin68 that too probably
I think they still do in rugby league games, i always love it when they go head to head.
As a New Zealander this is actually such a wholesome video.
I'm waiting for the video of the first rugby team that goes some balls and kicks the shit out of these taunting kiwis.
Joe Marler needs his own show. Seriously!! He needs to do a 'Monty Python' version of playing for England
From a proud islander i wanna see England's response again. Great job🇼🇸👍❤🤣
The All Backs want to stare at the group, by spreading out they didn't know where spare. Brilliant even maybe by default.
Now this is what I want to see in my recommendations
Actually mad about the World Cup final tho
And why we should of had Danny Care, not that one dimensional Youngs
Samuel Baragwanath too right
@@williamwallace2278 What is "should of"?
Get this guy a cranberry juice, he's on his period.
@@bremCZ "should of" is the kind of shit you say when you have no pride for the language that originated in your country, created by your forefathers, init?
Also: Bokke!
As a Maori i will say that was awesome response to unnerve them
😂 this interview was such a good laugh!!!
…this character Joe Marler is most certainly what Rugby needs
to bring about some heightened degree of fun ‼️‼️
He has the weirdest sense of humour imaginable
AND most wicked ⁉️

Great show…🥂💫
I Love our team great sense of humour the best sportsmen ever they make me feel proud to be English..
🤦🏾♀️🤭Bless ya sweet hearts! Ya spread yourselves for our boys, it wasn't much of a challenge. Hahaha much love from Aotearoa. 🇳🇿 (nz)
Love this !!!
They shouldn't have been fined that's ridiculous, they didn't show disrespect they reacted to a threat which is what the Haka is, its a threat of war.
Sounds gay af
the "Am I?" at the end always gets me
That '...Am I?!' was timed to perfection
Opponents performing intense Haka as a challenge
England: so how do we make a semi circle again?
Fair play.. well done England
FOREVER an AB Supporter still !
As a kiwi, I thought it was awesome! Great response to a challenge
The Ireland team did something really similar back in the 80s
@d costo yes but All Blacks also used the Haka for 33 wins of their 41 games vs england just saying 😬
That was my first ever international as a school boy.
As a Maori I loved it. Knew the English were up for it just gutted my abs didn’t show up.
Also gutted England didn’t show up for the final.
Now we ABs fans got to hear the Jaffa’s going on about it for four damn years.
The price you pay for beating the ABs
29Feb sober back off with that white culture BS, Polynesians don’t speak like that. We aren’t part anything, that implies someone is broken. We are both Māori and Pākehā. Not parts.
29Feb sober if you take a spittle test it’ll show you have mixed heritage too. Doesn’t mean you have to go around introducing yourself as part this or part that
No way! Keep the *S.H foot on the throat* of the North I say! *8 - 1* LOOOOONG way for them to claw that back! Lol
As a kiwi i Loved the response way to go england
It,s when every kiwi thinks he is a Maori , just like every jock thinks he is a highlander.
the "Hah Kah" lol.
as a kiwi & Maori. I thought it was awesome. too many teams just stand there & not do anything. your getting challenged challenge back. good stuff England & you guys totally outplayed us throughout that game.
Your getting taunted and your right they shouldn't just stand there, they should come across that line and seriously kick kiwi ass and put an end to this BS.
I'd just stand and watch - it's fascinating. I'd try to learn the moves and confront my missus with a Haka before we play Scrabble.
Because they're not allowed to do much of anything else. If they walk up and challenge it, they get fined. If they turn their backs and ignore it and keep warming up, your fans call it disrespectful. If they pick up the challenge according to the Kiwis' own traditions... they get dropped on their head while the fans and players defend it as fair play.
There is no appropriate response because you lot either find a reason to cry... or use it as justification for assault on the field.
No issues with the English response. not at all we kiwis think that was an excellent response though the fine by the governing body sadly does not reflect that
They were fined for crossing the half way line , not for disrespecting the Haka , just like any team would have been.
rodeo 4 You have got to be kidding me right? You kiwis thought that was an excellent response, don’t make me laugh because you kiwis kicked off over it over here saying the English disrespected the Maori culture of your country. As a Scotsman living in NZ for the last 10 years I’ve never met a more disrespectful, arrogant bunch of sore losers in my life as you kiwis. STUFF even ran a news story after the loss to England saying how much you kiwis have been gracious in defeat this time and that you are no longer sore losers. BUT as soon as the final came around you were all going C’mon SA beat the English and when the English players got their medals you lot were all kicking off saying the English are disrespectful for not wearing their medals around their necks. The ONLY country in the world to mention this about the English. Kiwis are the most embarrassing people on earth.
@@WGTNmarineLife yeah unfortunately there are a&%holes everywhere on Earth , but we certainly don't hate all Scottish people here just because of one a&%hole lol. Cheer up ya horrible old sod , no one forced you to come here lol.
Busta Rogers definitely not “afew” mate because you are all the same when it comes to rugby. Yeah your right no 1 forced me to move here but living here right now the AB’s are no longer the number 1 team or even the number 2 team anymore is going to be an enjoyable few years now lol. Only kiwis will still think they are still the best team in the world and that’s where arrogants shows.
@@WGTNmarineLife i highly doubt you even live here mate with the way you talk , you sound exactly like everything you've just complained about , but that is generally the way hatred works. Good luck with life mate lol and we'll just get on with loving our mighty AB's and backing them no matter what , toodle pip dipshit!.
As the All Blacks would have acknowledged, 'respect', no fine needed...
As an Irish man watching this there good bunch of lads and sorry they did t go all the way but bring on the six nations and always good games Ireland v England
Timmy RedruM amen 🇿🇦
@John Johnston Fiji, Samoa and Tonga are busy filling in the gaps of all Nations! Hows Italy going?
If they set the crowdfunding for the fine,it would be very interesting.
I am struggling with the fact we lost to a team that needed a drawing on how to form a semi-circle, and still got it wrong!
No need to struggle mate you were just outclassed by a team that was better on the day...it's about time though lol
@@davidhood2752 being outclassed has been a theme this WC. Unlucky that england peaked so early, maybe they wouldn't have gotten run over by the saffas
At the end of the day mate the final was just like the semis the better team won we were outclassed by a great team...I think the all blacks problem was they put too much effort into their cheerleading dutys before kick off lol less dancing more rugby lads...but on a serious note losing in the final after beating the best team in the world is not a bad result
@@davidhood2752 yeah i guess so, the south african team was brilliant in the final. England were too messy. Amazing game vs NZ though, hopefully you guys can add another Webb-Ellis to the cabinet soon... seems like the southern hemis are kings of rugby 😂
@@tristanreddy5353 well we do lead 8 - 1 😂👍
😂😂well I’ve already committed
Fines are ridiculous!!!
Joe Marlers comic timing is spot on
Beat us though ain't it. No one was going to beat England in the Semi. Well done.
The video title is wrong. They were not fined for disrupting the Haka.
It was for not staying in their own half while the Haka was being performed.
Oooo the scary england V formation 😂😂😂😂😂
Manu with the traditional Samoan ulafala necklace. Malo lava uso 📿🇼🇸💯✅🙌
As a kiwi I can accept we lost to a better team on the day; however England should have pulled through in the final. South Africa shouldn’t have won having already lost to New Zealand

As a kiwi I love it when the opposition gets up close to the haka I think it shows more respect
that pocket handkerchief tho
All them knocks to the head! Lol
Show respect England.
The hacker. 😂
For the small sum of 2.5k it’s worth doing every time ☺️👍🏻
The beat down that South Africa gave them was worth it, and maybe if england spend more time on the finals like they did on the response to the haka they would have put up a better performance.
James White shut up
James White you’re welsh aren’t you 😂
@@jameswhite9497 so no comment on the team that actually practices dancing, who lost to England?
Ok then. We've all seen enough here.
Snowy Richmond... challenging the Haka is worth doing and expected by the ABs.
Breaking rules set by officials, I would proffer, is not to be encouraged.
Joe Marler's face before the haka was priceless.
Dont know the 1st thing about rugby but id tilt a pint with these guys anytime...great stuff
‘..........Am I?’
Even tho I hate them winning against my ABs, they're top blokes for sure. Looking for the full interview nw.
this is why like the English, this is how they ruled us as colonial masters - and they did well.
(talked a lot, planned totally different one to the one they talked, get confused, implemented a bizarre one, still boast that they got bloody well right and how it is in line with their tradition )
they were just a let down in the End.... ruined a perfectly fine Saturday....
Yet they still made the final and beat two SH nations back to back to get there! Not bad really.
Misleading title. They were fined for going over the halfway line during the haka
They should have done the hokey Kokey
Bro came to an interview in shorts and hiking boots.
Haka is all about intimidation. If you give it back to them it's a problem because . . . why?
How you going to deal with a wedge/spear formation?
a. Stay in a line and let it break through.
b. Outflank it on both sides and take away the point of first contact.
In 1989, Ireland made a really tight V and marched forward and were just inches from touching the NZ players.
Once Joe Marler committed, Kolbe knew he had the try.
Unreal!! .....fine every other team who smiles during the “Haka”.
Are you stupid?
Team meetings to decide how to respond to the Haka. That's a bit much
Honestly thought the England team were going to form into a heart shape, now that would be hilarious! My idea if they decide to go ahead with that.
and for doing a morris dance , as a response
Doesn't seem to take much to confuse people these days.
South Africa RWC 2019 Champions🇿🇦
So they’ve got to stand there and take that intimidation technique with no reaction, by law?
Right, gotcha.
No. They can do whatever they want as long as they don’t cross the half way line
The AB's see it as a psychological advantage in all their games, impressive as it is it should really only be performed at 'ceremonial' matches
eg player retiring, certain number of matches against a team, etc
The attack and defense formation was also meant to be in a semi circle in a the Final which is why they lost. Damn half circles!!!!!!
This is Great Britain they say!!!!!!!
Ask any Kiwi the Haka is a challenge and a blessing from the gods. To face it is more respectful then to turn away or not engage at all. I am Aussie but every Kiwi Ive asked about it gives the same answer
Gotta love Joe Marler!
Marler is gold lol!!!
Pissed off with that final! Four years from now you better rectify that disappointment!
1995 World Cup Final will forever be the best HAKA
These guys are hilarious!
Q. How do you get a Rugby player to laugh after the match?
A. Tell him a joke before the match 🙂
as a man specifically a " warrior" i think its more disrespectful to show indifference to a challenge
I have never understood why they perform the Haka and there is an objection to almost any proactive response by the opposition. In the very early days (e.g. 1925) the England team just ignored it and carried on with their warm up in their own half!
New Zealand: Does a war dance to mock opponents to which said opponents aren't allowed to make any response.
*England scores inside the first minute then wins the game by a landslide.
New Zealand: Surprised Pikachu face.
And lost in the final to South Africa and they were as surprised as they could be😜
Haka, Yes.... not only for NZ, Tonga, Fidji, etc.... Show respect if you want some now.... for the reste of the WORLD RUGBY.... Please STOP this.... It's not Tradition... is an Insult for the Tradition.... don't Mixed up.... RUGBY is about Respect... Not Theater... Keep the tradition beside.... to avoid insult....Think of it. IF Canada start a Pow Wow ... Where are we going!, PLEASE No privilege anymore.
The British should form an infantry square.
And then South Africa humble them😂
Mah uso Mah uce thank god other wise we would never have heard the end of it!
What’s that got to do with their response to the Hakka?

As Maori and kiwis from nz we embrace any response to the haka! Whateva culture represents you and your people is more than welcome . It’s a challenge and when you challenge back it brings great mana and respect to you !🙏 just don’t cross the line 😂we didn’t make io that rule that’s on the WRF 😂🙏
Yawns and armpit farts would be our response . No offense 😜

shutup
Anybody know when this will be on TV?
I’m pretty sure you can watch it on catchup but I’m not 100% sure it’s out yet
Simon Duke probably tonight
World Rugby's take on the Haka is entering the politically correct. Eventually teams will be cancelled for not bowing first to the All Blacks. Meanwhile, I never hear New Zealanders moan about any of the responses.
if anyone wants to know why half way line rule exists, go watch New zealand Maori vs Cook island Maori, haka vs Pe'e. Sides always start fighting each other. I mean literally fighting.
You've gotta see the funny side
Kiwi here. The English V towards the haka was great. It added to the spectacle. What I did not like was Owen Farrells smirk towards the All blacks during the haka. That was quite disrespectful, I will never forget that. He got his though in the final, when the smallest man on the field Kolbe made it look easy with the big whack down the sideline to seal the game. SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE RUGBY!!!
