They use a tactic that instead of using their men they use artillery, drones, and aviation, which is something important that Ukraine does not have, so they avoid hand-to-hand combat to avoid casualties.

So Ukr thinned out their defence in other regions in order to take Kursk, but I think in less than one month Ukr will run out of manpower in Krsk and then if they are lucky they will be able to retreat, if unlucky, will be surrounded. It seems they want to reach the nuclear power plant, but that is a far way now that Rus notices them.
In rruzzia events are described differently: an invasion is called special military operation, defense is called counter-terrorism, having boats, subs and ammunitions depots bombed are called smoking accidents.

Every war essentially has an official name under which the operation is going. The USA had it's war in Iraq called an operation Iraqi Freedom.

There are 3-4 brigades, about 15.000-20.000 soldiers.
Anywhere from 5K - 50K troops depending on which source you believe...aka, nobody fully knows except for the Ukranian government and they're not saying.

The most common sources say that it is between 3 and 4 brigades.Not all brigades entered the battle because they will certainly continue to attack in other directions or enter as second and third waves of attack.

In other words, Ukraine DID NOT target that building, it only got hit because Russia shot down the missile. If Russia didn't shoot it down, it would've hit the military target it was aimed at.

It could happen but I personally think they will try to fortify and hold off the attack, although there is a possibility this was just a very prolonged border raid but it’s been around a week so that is not very likely.

@@UKOW2024 I don’t see this attack improving the Ukrainian casualty rate compared to Russia, and that was their main problem considering the lack of Ukrainian manpower. They get weapons from NATO, so just manpower is the limiting factor.
How does Ukraine inflict greater losses on Russia by attacking? Attacks usually come with the disadvantage of losing access to soft and hard cover, Ukraine maintained Krynky despite having no strategic prospects there, that was across a huge river with no cover.

I am Czech and I need to say this. In 1938 lots of countries tried to appease the Germans and give Czechoslovakias Sudetenland to the Germans. We must help defend Ukraine in any way possible. We must not make the same mistake and try to appease Russia.

Russia is still capable of being a super power. For people who don't understand what that is, it's a country who can send their military to another country to conduct operations there, in multiple countries. Russia has sent their military all over the Middle East, & will continue to do so after this SMO is completed.
I've noticed the mention of 'real army' several times in this conflict as if rruzzia is taking it easy with some spare forces or some such until now. Although it is not totally clear what rruzzia has and where, it does remind me of other conflicts where leaders who don't want to admit setbacks talk about military formations that do not exist, secret powerful weapons that nobody has seen, etc.
You are confusing the term "great power" with the term "superpower".
Russia is still a great power, although by the end of this war that might not be true anymore. But Russia is now clearly no longer a superpower. China and the USA are superpowers. A functional EU might become a superpower.
Russia is a corrupt petro state with a nuclear arsenal, state funded terrorism, and a propensity to try to rely on nuclear blackmail to get its way. It's more like Saudia Arabia with nukes than China or the USA.

I quite agree…no way it’s even half of Russia’s tanks when the logistics would be absolutely decimated by too many troops alone so it wouldn’t make sense to have so many tanks sent out in such a short period of time. Casualties wise…I also sort of agree. If I recall in Dec 2023,it was like less than 200,000 I think for both sides together (According to America I believe) but now Russia alone skyrocketed to 600,000?

The casualty ratio is so far in Russia's favour that Ukraine have no bargaining power, a big reason Russia invaded in the first place is because this border is indefensible and if Ukraine joined NATO it would be game over for their sovereignty
