Its snow like that , that makes me glad i have a 54” blade on the front of my JD,,, real heavy like that is tuff on any blower regardless if its a single or dual stage ..thanks for the video bud..
You're telling me a blade would get through that much snow? Unless you have like a full blown farm tractor I don't believe it. I definitely agree that a blade is the way to go for anything less than 6"
Michael Zeleznik buddy I have pushed well over a foot of snow .. when the piles start getting big you make ramps over the top of piles and push snow off the back easy ...
My newer blower has a similar problem with wet snow. Tends to just push it. Spraying it with any kind of lube or silicone helps a lot, but enclosed augers are always susceptible to that. Old machines with exposed augers handled wet snow much better.
@@natisandronicus I think you're referring to the impeller mod. This problem occurs before the snow even gets there. The impeller mod is another thing. I've through about it, but in my case, I just don't think it's worth the side effects. I could see it more on an older machine that tends to plug more, but my fix for that was to install an overdrive, and that worked well for me.
At 9:30, you need to blast more snow against the house to totally cover up the trash bins. Given the wetness of the snow, why people decide to cut a full swath at every pass is beyond me. You only have to back up anyway, and go over what you already couldn't remove. Why not cut your swath in half - putting less stress on your equipment?
Kinda have to agree with that although for the most part the tractor handled it, but when it's wet and heavy you gotta take smaller bites. Got the job done and made the neighbors happy
That’s a wet heavy one. Neighbor love my 318 too! Good job

My goal this summer is to find a blade. And a weight rack. I lost 170 lbs i need to add about 200 to the back.

I was finally happy when we got a sufficient amount of snow and to my surprise my MTD 5/22 handled that wet snow.

Don't ram the snow go nice and slow. Ramming snow will put a lot strain on blower breaking something.
@@tedmann498 He had to do that because the snow was so wet and the blower would just push a ton of snow and the tractor would spin out
Haha as im watching more its like your just looking for shit to wipe out..
I was out for 2 and half hours this is the super abridged version. I did 5 houses today
