I just discovered your account a few months ago, and when I saw your video in here I was shocked by how much you've changed! But in a good way. You seem much more comfortable with yourself now, not holding yourself back and making yourself more 'palatable' as it were. And the beautiful thing about that is, once you let yourself shine, you'll attract people who love you for who you are, and you will just shine even brighter ❤️

As someone said this is so sweet and wholesome and also probably embarrassing for them 😂 I love it. Wow it brought me back to when I started watching booktube almost 6 years ago, so many of these channels I watch now. Time flies, I love this community though, it’s brought me so much happiness and makes us feel a lot less alone ❤

This was so wholesome and nostalgic 🥰 I hid my first videos at some point because I couldn't stand the cringe but eventually made all of them public again, and now I'd like to think about it in the way that we were all brave for putting ourselves out there instead of being embarrassed about something that isn't even that bad 😂
I 100% agree with you, everyone who uploads that first video did such a brave thing and honestly love looking back at how far people have come, and genuinely everyone I watched in this video had nothing to feel embarrassed about
This is so nice! I've been thinking about making booktube content, but I've been so scared because everyone I watch has such wonderful videos....I never really thought I could do it, but looking at where everyone started is giving me confidence that I can do it too

You can do it!!!!! I always thought the same thing, I am the most shy person ever and have such a hard time sometimes forming my thoughts into words. But you really do get so much better at it the more you do it and also the book community is so incredibly supportive ❤️
As a small BookTuber, I gotta say thank you for asking for recs of us. That got me in the feels. Obviously suggesting myself, but I'd also like to suggest: Four Paws and a Book, Pretty Purple Polka Dots, Brittany Loves Reading, alliewithbooks, Bon_bookreviews, Thor wants another letter, ReadingWheNeva, and Olivia's Catastrophe. They're all friends of mine and I love their content!

Someone may have answered this already, but person on that poster is Alexander Rybak. He's the Norwegian singer that sings Into A Fantasy on the HTTYD2 soundtrack and also, iirc, I think he's the VA for Hiccup in the Norwegian translation (could be wrong about that last one.).

Ahahaha my first videos were SO BAD! I had a little tripod balanced on top of a laundry basket on top of my bed with an old iPhone. But I wanted to try it and see if I liked it without spending any money, and I still am happy that I went that route. Starting and knowing the beginning is going to be terrible but you’re going to get better, it’s underrated. ♥️♥️♥️

I love seeing how different everyone's video and personal styles have changed since their first videos! I've not been doing booktube for that long but seeing the start of the growth for other people's channels really helps the imposter syndrome and gives me new ideas for things i want to try in videos! 😊😊📚

Such perfect timing! I’ve been looking to start my own Booktube channel. 😅 And it all started with your Goosebumps review - I’ve never even read Goosebumps, but I’ve watched the entire episode probably a dozen times! Since then I’ve watched so many different Booktubers, but when I need a friendly voice to play in the background while working in my classroom or cleaning the house your videos are where I turn.
This is the absolute best thing. Except, now I'm really curious what my first video is hahahha.
You always talk about how great others are on booktube and I just want you to know how amazing YOU are! Your videos give me creator envy!

As usual, Gavin, a video and brill idea, it is great to see people's first video and to see that these booktubers did not pop out of their mother's womb booktube stars but still fabulous. Watching them makes me feel not so bad about my first booktube video. Of course, the North East number 1 booktuber was always a star . Loved watching your videos. Your happiness always makes me smile .
This made me so nostalgic. I've been watching booktube for a good decade now, it's a huge part of my life. Seeing people's first video after years is always interesting to see how much they have evolved and grown !

As a small booktuber, I would want to throw my own hat in the ring but also @AstralLibrary, @AJennWhoReads, and @litwithkat are all content creators who either inspired me to start or who began around the same time as me and have been super supportive of my work.
Absolutely loved this video! So encouraging. Gavin you were literally one of the first BookTubers I came across and iI fell in love with the BookTube community and I started switching up my content to bring myself into such a fun community ! 💖
