Welcome to the Lammermuir 2024 Podcast: the fourth and final instalment!
Richard Boothby from Fretwork gave us some insight into their irresistible selection of works at the festival. They perform today and tomorrow with us in Humbie and Gladsmuir following their triumph in ‘Secret Byrd’ last year. This extraordinary ensemble which over almost four decades as the world’s leading consort of viols, has performed a huge repertoire of music old and new.
And wrapping up our podcast this year it felt only right to treat you all to Dinis Sousa, the conductor who can be found at our Closing Concert with Royal Northern Sinfonia. He marvels in the relationship between Schumann and Mendelssohn in the programme and we truly can’t wait to hear Dinis work his magic with Royal Northern Sinfonia and Maria Włoszczowska on Monday 16 September.
