The Social Network is one of the greatest films of all time. It was perfectly directed, written, and acted. It also had pristine editing, gorgeous cinematography, and a haunting soundtrack. It is without a doubt David Fincher's best film in my mind. I love Se7en and Fight Club, but The Social Network surpasses them.

Cay V The Social Network has way more attention from critics. There are a ton of analysis videos. Fight Club and Se7en are great but known more as cult classics.
Zodiac is honestly one of finchers greats. Insane cinematography along with an insane story. Definitely top 3 in finchers list imo being third under fight club and social network. Underrated masterpiece that should be watched by everyone who loves the fincher classics.
"The Game" always makes me feel unsettled and paranoid even though I am aware of the ending. That score. The piano pounds. It's creepy and enthralling. The Game is on par with Seven in my opinion. While Fight Club and Gone Girl both have twists; those twists were first revealed in the book prior to the movie. However, with The Game and Seven, the twist/ending was strictly tied to the film since each were not derived from books that had already been written. Yes, people compare The Game to Magus and even go as far to say it was a "rip off" of Magus, yet that observation is in hindsight and only if you had read Magus would you even be able to make the comparison.
Gone Girl deserves to be higher just for Rosamund Pike's performance. Even if the film is somehow lacking in a few departments, it's a masterclass for her exquisite take on Amy Dunne

Yes. The Social Network was the first movie I ever saw that made me fully appreciate a film's direction/director.

CapeAndCrown Social Network on paper shouldn't work, yet Fincher and Sorkin make it transcend something great. I personally have a soft spot for Fight Club but Social Network is his masterpiece...so much could have gone wrong on this film
I think The Social Network is equally as masterful as Fight Club, some days one is better than the other, but there is no doubt that David Fincher is one of the best directors of all time, at least in my opinion....
