You have to be one of the best examples of successful time management going. You really do fit a lot into your day and still manage to get out your daily vid! Hat off to you!
Hi Olly, good to see the progress, mowing more grass, turning the grass cut earlier, food shopping and getting ready for a family camping weekend. Take care and thank you.
Just found the channel and vids. Enjoying the content. Really interesting. Grand parents used to tenent a farm in Yorkshire and uncles are still in farming. Look forward to seeing more vids.
Hey buddy!! She sounded a little grunty in places today? Our trailer guys used to drive at a set speed and the combine driver sped up or slowed down accordingly when loading. Storm drainage today on an ec140 Volvo, not my fave mount I gotta say.
Really enjoy the combine working. Really looking forward to our new claas coming out of the shed. Our oil seed rape was sprayed off yesterday so hopefully we can start that end of next week. Regards to the family and crew
It all looks to be going well, hope your enjoying driving it as well, I am so missing being on the farm at havest, 78% today feeling a little better today
So nice to see the combine going. I’ve been out watching some silage making today. Too hot to do a lot else than ambling slowly around the countryside from one shady patch to the next.
Good to see you kept your calm as when I worked on the farm and you run in front of the combine auger the boss man gave a few choice words and made you shovel the grain up,even though half the time it was his fault as he decided to stop and jump out the seat to shoot a rabbit. My days been great (NOT) and been sat in the Volvo Fh500 with a load of tarmacing equipment on the trailer as I'm on nights on the A1 up near Newcastle. Roll on tomorrow as it's homewood bound back to Derbyshire when we're done. Good work as always matey with the vid and between yourself Tom Pemberton and Larson Farms you keep me entertained.
Second cut silage today small bit of hay hopefully we will be combining next week still a bit fresh green patches through the tramlines but we have no rain forecasted for another week so happy days
Great video and very informative about your new combine. Today I cut the church grass with my ride on mower and bathed my Newfoundland dog Mia who weighs 60kg
Caught a glimpse of the beast from a distance on the way past today. Looks ace mate. Busy today doing more first fix electrics in the unit and getting the gas cylinders fixed to the wall for the laser 👍🏻
Always taught when unloading combines if going was good tractor trailer set a speed and stayed at that speed then combine increased /decreased speed to unload into trailers
Poetry in motion watching that being chopped and fed into the machine head first. Good work. Been out in the sweat box, I mean cab all day roasting myself
We use two way radios for loading and moving combine on roads. Kent has been under a blanket of cloud last couple of days and too windy to desiccate the osr. Finished cleaning grain store today plan to start barley nest week. Lovely combine 👍
I’ve helped a tillage farmer friend out at a couple of harvests by carting grain for him. The pressure I’m under to get the trailer positioned right and speed as we unload on the move is something else but wouldn’t have it any other way!
Need to use CB radio app when unloading combine into trailer, i think eac h day you should give us update as to how many acres left to cut. great vid hope the harvest goes well.
Time to change T/acre to T/Ha on the screen I think! Cloudy and windy in Essex, harvest still 10 days away on our winter barley, only just cut first lot of hay. Been building shower/toilet block for a campsite we're opening.
2 tips for you fast trac put a flag on rear corner of trailor for him to sight by and fasten some sort of bag under the hitch of the deere so the straw doesnt ball up
You could do with the camera you see on the auger showing on the screen of the hauling tractor, it can be done, John Deere have a system where the combine takes control of the hauling tractor while unloading 👍
I’ve worked this morning in my taxi and went to the gym this afternoon. I’m up at 04.00 to take a fare to Leeds train station at 04.40 but that’s ok as it’s time and a half at that time so a quick £80-90. I spoke to my mate today, they just sprayed the barley off two days ago so no combining until the back end of next week, that’s North Yorkshire.
48 lambs sold today 42 kgs, ave 114, checked cattle away from home and collected a 5 ton digger to jet a couple drains and fix two burst tomorrow, that's the plan hopefully, drains can be a nightmare tho😱
G’day mate We run two 40t chaser bins in our program and find it’s easier if you give the chaser/tractor driver a set speed which then allows you to speed up/ slow down which can make for more efficient unloading we have found 👍
You could find a big cow farmer and do a straw for muck deal if you want the nitrogen content out of the straw would just have to wait 2 years to see the returns as you would have to wait for them to use the straw and to rot down.
Well the bad bit is I’ve had another trip to hospital☹️. But they are so good to me I moan a bit but they’re managing to keep the cancer under control. The best bit is I got into one of my old cars, a 1974 MG Midget, and joined my wife to help her look after our grandchildren 🤗. That’s the best bit of the week. My wife does 3/4 days each week and I do one afternoon. I time my arrival so that It coincides with younger granddaughter waking up from her midday nap and she’s climbs down the stairs to have playtime with grandad which has to include several stories and then I do whatever they want build toys, draw some animals and all sorts of other activities!! It makes up for the trips to hospital🤗
When we unload the combine, it's normally the combine driver that adjusts speed around 4-6kmh range. Seems to work better as they have far better view :)
If u hold or maybe double tap the unload button does the unloading auger not stop instantly overridden the empty function. Like the dead stop on the header?
your combine says "cemos automation" on the side, however you don't seem to have a second screen on your combine, so you still have the automation features or is it just a wrong sticker?
Looks like that new lex is to save a lot of time and fuel..Today I’ve been delivering around Durham and Gateshead.Had my 16 minute taco break opposite the angle of the north..
Did you have to train at NASA to operate the beast ? It’s like the Starship bloody Enterprise 😆. I love watching these videos. Really interesting and relaxing 😎.
Good video olly what’s the black polythene on the roof for ? If it’s for just underneath the felt it may sweat and not do the cabin roof any good should of been breathable building paper
I was the guy who followed one of the guys to the field from near your yard! Drove from Manchester to find where you were and you’d just finished! Presume he was heading down to pick the header trailer up?
Whey don’t you have two way radios so you can talk to the tractor driver ? Here in Saskatchewan we have two way radios in the combine and the tractor when we harvest 🇨🇦🇩🇰
Making me jealous all this cutting 😩 press and hold unloading button, fast stop. Press once allows 5 secs for auger to empty. Got me a few times on the demo machine. Finished spraying off the last of the 200ha of osr today
@@OllyBlogsAgricontractfarmer Hereford/Shropshire/Welsh boarder some standing barley has been £148 acre, good to see your making the renewable heat work for you thinking outside the box 👍

Today I've been putting in a footing in for a retaining wall and cleaning our two 12 ton corn trailers. My biggest bug bear is when I'm unloading the combine that the trailer drivers don't get it right!

Very clever. Last years straw harvest was poor n the arable men had a good do on last years straw price even selling 2-3 year old carry over. It’s £100 a ton or it can stop there. As with everything at the moment it goes up a lot but comes down very little.
What channel do you use on CB talk app? Can you create your own group for your farm? We were going to use it for harvest, but easier to have private group. Are you going to put osr in after winter barley. We've got forage crops to go in but too dry at the moment. Been getting our simba st xpress seeder ready for sowing osr and forage rape today. Think I'll hold off sowing it until rain in forecast.
You have to be one of the best examples of successful time management going. You really do fit a lot into your day and still manage to get out your daily vid! Hat off to you!
That's what farming is, craming every thing into to a 18 hour.
Fantastic slow motion shots of the cutter bar. Unbelievable!! 97% today no problems.
Woohoo my favourite time of the day
Equates to over 30.000 engine hours so why tractor can't last

Carting bales and moving soil with our new to us Merlo TF42.7 - this machinery obsession is catchy!
You need a front press on the tractors to push the swats of straw down so they won’t catch the draw bars

One thing I have never done which I wish I could I’d drive a combine. What a machine it is! How many acres do you combine to justify that monster?
Straw has never ever been so expensive. What price would you currently want for straw?
£99 a ton
If straw is THAT high. Oh boy. What will be with the other products depending on it. That will be a hell of a mess down the road.
@@OllyBlogsAgricontractfarmer what would the price be for delivery to North Shropshire.

Is the barley going for feed Olly. (With the wheat in it) Back in the day we used to get docked for any admixture!!
Yer just feed
With the current fertilizer price, what is straw worth to you to chop? At £99/ton what weight are the bales?
You can control the reel up and down but why do you control it in and out ? Cheers Bill from Ellon can you find that out yer Map ?
To pull crop over knife or lift off floor
