So JT actually sings at the part you were wondering about and also the lyric "before you mourn the passing dream" in the chorus. But the rest is Jesse. Both Jesse and JT confirmed it on their Instagram.
This one is a grower for sure - it sounds super chaotic the first listen and it's hard to grasp whats happening but gets better and better each time round. One of my favourite Erra songs to date
@@robertdingey7154 yes it is, at least on the second verse and the part in the chorus where he says Before you mourn the passing dream. They’ve said it on Instagram and also JT said it on one of his twitch streams
Erra said this track was meant to be a curveball and a challenge to traditional listeners. Jesse said himself the time sigs throughout the song are fucked. I think its absolutely sick and I’ve loved Erra since Drift.
I feel like they're going for a different type of complicated for each song. Snowblood was physically virtuosic, but this was rhythmically insane. Both of them are probably still pains to play
I feel the pain of Alex recording and playin this track. Thank you Mr. Ballew :D This song pick "familiarity with a track" and throws it in the freaking trash...and i like it! Go Erra, be proud. To be honest i agree with Rich...But in the sense that Snowblood is such an oustanding track overall and set the bar already so high that even me loving prog stuff ...I don't think this is better. But still an amazing song. Mindf*** at first but it opens slowly and it's fantastic.
As much as I love this song, as their last single, they have introduced us into a new era of Erra like you guys said, but as for their best work?; almost more than 80% of Augment contains the BEST work they have ever done. Not just because of their unclean vocalist, it just sounded more unique and proggy. Y’all should do a few more less listened to songs off that album like Prometheus and Dementia. If I had to pick out of all of their discography as in best song, it would definitely 110% be Dementia from that album. Nevertheless, good reaction boiz. Looking forward to any new music you guys got coming out in the future!
This song is insane. I knew you guys would like it but still wanted to hear your thoughts

Interesting! Thanks for the info!

The last 3 songs have all been the production we've all been waiting for with ERRA. Plus JT getting to show his range / talent has been awesome!

That was JT on the cleans!
No it isn't, it's Jesse

The requiem part was defo JT?
@@ProdByClockwerk it was both JT and Jesse harmonizing

Did he say what the time sigs are? I've been tryna count them out but man it's impossible
@@_ra1n nah he didn’t specify section by section or anything, and it was on IG live so I cant go back and check unfortunately. Its wild though
Mostly 7/8 haha

Augment and moments of clarity EP are my 2 favs. To me that was their prime.
Probably my favorite album they have done, and Dementia is definitely their best song IMO
