- This was one of the two key cases establishing the postal acceptance rule, which allowed contracts to be formed by the post, when the post was still the most convenient way to trade information over long distances. This case establishes that contract formation by post is possible ... the later case of Henthorn and Fraser gave the rule its final form.

Hi Brady, most jurisdictions now have an "Electronic Transactions Act" or equivalent, so the PAR really doesn't matter that much any more :)
