AWI In The Field: Blue Spring Living Water

Alabama is known for being a water-rich state. Nestled in the Southern Appalachian foothills about an hour north of Birmingham resides Blue Spring, a natural water resource with a striking clear bluish hue that produces nearly 1 million gallons per day. Two alumni from The University of Alabama are responsible for its care and bottling its water for consumption.
