This kind of meta is almost enough to make me give up on Yugioh. I love the game, but am disturbed to see such current state of the game where the main metas are a bunch of decks spamming special summon cards from turn one to crank out 10+ monsters right out the gate. With these kinds of combos now the norm, the other decks that don't exploit this gimmick are dead in the water. I first saw a World Chalice deck played when I finally had time to go to a yugioh game night at the local game shop for the first time in years a few months back, and all I could think was "what the s*it!?" as my opponent's turn one took over five minutes as he spawned countless special summons and draws, filling up his field with massive link monsters right away. People thought that the link format was going to slow down the game. lol, they couldn't have been more wrong.
Michael Lyle world chalice is in no way a meta deck and some meta decks like altergeists don't make more then a couple monsters and rely heavily on traps and recursion and decks like true Draco summon at most 2 monsters a turn
