Replacing the MAF sensor is a common first step for a P0102 trouble code (Mass Air Flow sensor circuit malfunction), but it doesn't always fix the issue. Here are some possibilities to explore:
Double-check the Air Filter: A clogged air filter can restrict airflow and lead to a false MAF sensor reading. Ensure your air filter is clean and replace it if necessary.
Verify MAF Sensor Installation: Make sure the MAF sensor is securely seated and the connections are tight. A loose connection or improper installation can cause the code.
Consider Faulty New Sensor: It's unlikely, but there's a chance the new MAF sensor itself is defective. If the above steps don't resolve the issue, consult your repair manual or a mechanic for further diagnosis.
Check for Vacuum Leaks: Unmetered air entering the engine through leaks can mess up the MAF sensor readings. Look for cracks, loose hoses, or disconnected components in the intake system.
Other Potential Causes: Depending on your vehicle, there could be other culprits like a faulty MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor, wiring issues, or problems with the Engine Control Unit (ECU).

@weeklytools thanks. I'm gon try cleaning the air filter holder and replace the filter. A lot of dust in it. Heard that can cause the issue too but when I have MAF unplugged, the car doesn't stall?

@officialbarren Lost my multimeter to check so I couldn't. Had no money to get a new one and using paycheck at mechanic as I just gave up. It starts up with the maf unplugged (well it did) now being a whole as$ bith.
