I just bought a 2011 Yamaha Stryker TWO days ago ! What a way to start my weekend. I traded in my near mint 2001 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 (thank you for being there for me on my re-entry maiden voyage) and took a chance on the 2011 Yamaha Stryker. I am a new rider, a 20 year re-entry rider. The last time I rode a bike Bill Clinton was in office ! I owned about 10 bikes throughout my 20's and quit riding over 20 years ago.
I looked at the Stryker BEFORE I bought the Shadow 750, but I was sure it was too big for me. My MAIN concern was LOW seat height because I have knee arthritis.
The salesman planted a seed in my head, "When it comes to riding cruisers you want that big, torquey motor for a cruiser and he was right. The Shadow 750 was PERFECT for me to start on, and ALMOST too big. I'd suggest a Honda Rebel 500 / 1100 , and/or the Kawasaki VulcanS 650 as starter bikes, NOT the Vulcan 900, that bike is WAY too big for a newbie.
My brother is proof. His partner bought him a Vulcan 900 and it was WAY too intimidating for my brother. He rode it through town up to 45 mph, never practiced riding, and gave up in less than two weeks. He sold it dirt cheap to some happy rider.
So, two days ago I RODE the longest ride ever since riding again about 30 miles at highway speeds back to the dealership with the Stryker and asked if they still had it three weeks after I initially saw it. "Yes" he said. I suddenly got nervous and excited all at the same time because I knew excuses were no point anymore. I told the salesman you only live once, so let's run the numbers never thinking it was a real option. 15 minutes later the sales manager comes out of his office and tells me I'm approved to ride away with the Shadow as a trade in.
I was nervous, but excited. When I rode away and was about five minutes into my ride I quoted Dr. Chinnard from Hellraiser II - "To think, I hesitated." The Stryker is SUCH an amazing bike to ride with such ease. It sticks to the ground at 65 mph and the wind seems to have no effect, a luxury I am NOT used to. Yes, I love the Star family of bikes.

@@AbdulsCycles Thank you Sir. I would be looking for my first motorcycle but problem is I only like xvs1100, xvz1300 and this one. I hate then discontinued every single one of them as I would love to buy a new one. Are this one is heavy to manouver ?Once again thank you for answear.
@@AntoniOrszykowski I JUST bought a 2011 Stryker 1340 two days ago and I LOVE it. It is SO easy to maneuver, has SO much power and torque, and in the wind doesn't move and inch. It's like riding a Cadillac. I've owned over 10 bikes and the Stryker is the best bike I've ever owned for a 54 year old rider who is done being crazy on 160mph sport bikes.

bener boss ku, sama spt harley davidson dewasa ini produknya cuma make Belt bukan chains. Tapi kualitas beltnya bukan kaleng2 ratusan rb km juga kekuatannya, ga seperti beltnya si scooter atau matic beda donk mutunya
