Thank You for the video!!! This helped me to reconsider my point of view on HOW THINGS ARE MADE IN LAT-AM... ...I guess it's the same over there in ASIA...!!! May the Good Lord bless you always!!! 🛐🛐🛐🛐
Not quite sure but I expect an excellent memory help to reconstruct the parts into a working unit. The rewire of the generator was amazing. I enjoyed and was amazed by the individual who did this work. I hope he gets to see or hear the accolades that will be posted here.
Absolutely love your ingenuity and patience!! Never thought you would try to rewind that generator yourself. Amazing command of hand tools. Don't stop!
Of all the restoration I have seen when I saw you rewind the copper cable and put that back together. Very impressed. I was disappointed the paint though but still an incredible job.
The part where he made his own coil made me respect this dude . That is hard to do . You need to know the exact amount of whines to get the right amount of current . Props to this dude
Bravo! Just remembering where all the bolts go is amazing. So much more complicated than the restoration of a toy car that looked like a horse had stepped on it.
Nice job.... and, you had the patience and ability to rewind the rotor1! I did this stuff professionally many years ago and I really would not have the patience to do it now...
I had a Coleman 1860 given to me, the shell components such as end cap, handle and exaust guard were missing. I cleaned the carburetor and it started right up. The air filter canister was missing as well. I just added one from another brand. Last week I purchased a UTA 1200 generator for $50 . It wouldn't start. I discovered the valve cam was off by a few teeth from the crank . After retiming it and replacing the leaking carburetor, it started right up and runs perfect. I am using it for our popup camper. The hardest part was figuring how to get the Stator off. I was thinking of making a puller but read that simply tapping on the two sides of the winding with a rubber hammer will loosen the shaft from the engine.
As a profounf viewer of restoration videos, I can say that you are on the right track and I liked the approach you picked for shooting the vid, yet there is still quite a few things to improve on. I know that the goal of this wasn't to get the generator to a pristine, factory-like condition, but what I personally love about these vids is the masterful craftsmanship and delicate approach with which other colleagues of yours show better, e.g. that blue cover on the side could have been made new or that the quality of the paint is really bad. Altogether, keep up the good work and you will get more subscribers soon. Cheers, m8

I used to restore generators and lawnmowers. I loved doing stuff like this. Made real good money at it..
What made you quit ?
Bull crap.

I like that you are restoring for usage not for looks. Too many of these videos are people wasting 70% of the time to make it look pretty.

Great work
Good job! It's always risky hitting white metal with a hammer/mallet because its brittle and can crack or break off.

How were you able to find out how many winds to put in the generator? I was genuinely surprised when you rewound it. Very impressive!
