    Great demonstration. Same test as I did but with reflective underlay. Using low power 80wm2 carbon film. Temperature measured on top of laminate was 26c. Room temp was 18c. Tested using 2sq m of film. (4m X .5m)

    Excellent video demonstration, thank you. I have seen the same tech now being used in the garden communities too with seedling/germination mats. Looks like nice even distribution

    Basically a cheap way to radiate heat upwards. Makes you think of all those new standalone (on the wall) infrared heater panels. What did they do? Did they make a polyester whiteboard in front and some insulating reflector material on the back inside a thin white frame? Now you can do this yourself in any length at a width of 50cm or less. I noticed that wood flooring absorbes the radated heat and heats them up to almost 45 degrees over a period of 45-60 minutes. That is comfortable on the human feet but does it heat the room to 22c. I guess this example shows a heat film of 0,25 m2 x 240 watts/m2= 60 Watts. I think this is a useful size if you put a Marble plate on top, not plastic or wood. The Marble plate buffers (stores) the heat and dissipates it long after the power is switched off. Not many experiments are done on youtube to test that.

      Hi, our heating films are designed for installation directly under floating floors or under screed. They should not be installed directly under ceramic or stone tiles.
      It's very important to choose the appropriate wattage for the installation location. For installation directly under floating floors, we recommend heating films with a wattage of 60, 80, or 140 W/m2.
      Best regards! 💚

    What about the temperature control? How can the thermostate regulate it?

    How much electricity does this consume? Can this be automatically turned on and off? Looks great.

    • @HeatDecor
      @HeatDecor  Рік тому

      The amount of electricity consumed depends on the power of the heating film, its surface area, and the time it is turned on. For example, 1 square meter of 80 W heating film will consume 0.08 kWh per hour. Best regards! 💚

      It's conventional flooring.
      This kind of heating system can be used with any kind of wooden flooring, the only condition is to limit the floor temperature on the thermostat to a max. of 26°C.

    Can I use this under a rug ( with under-rug pads?) under it all is cement. What temperature would I need to keep it at? wouldn't want to melt the under-rug plastic/foam padding.

    • @HeatDecor
      @HeatDecor  2 роки тому +1

      Hi! The rug is not a sufficient protection for the heating film. The heating film in underfloor heating can be installed only under hard enough floor finish, which also conducts heat well - - panels, wood or screed. It is wise to ask before installation :) Regards!

    Hi, so I have these Harvia 380W, in my DIY infrared sauna, and on surface it reaches a certain temperature (I don't have a meter, so I can't tell the exact temperature, but I can't keep my finger on it when it's working).
    Is this normal working temperature for infrared sauna heating elements? I mean I connected it to 220V, so it's not like I made a mistake connecting them.
    It's size is 0,4m x 1m. 380W.
    Thank you in advance for a response.

    • @HeatDecor
      @HeatDecor  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Maxim, heating films operate at low temperatures, not exceeding 28-50 degrees Celsius, depending on their power. The room is heated by infrared radiation. 80% of the floor must be covered with a heating foil to keep the room temperature at a normal level. To heat the sauna, you will need more heating foil area, also in the walls and ceiling.
      Greetings!

      380W it seems heat up to 90, if not more. I don't know why manufacturer says astound 55, maybe they mean not on the surface, but like in immediate proximity (or few millimeters from the surface).
      Maybe I need to add foil to my sauna, but for now it still makes me sweat quite a lot with just wooden walls.

      I have an L shape room. As I want to power from a solar battery system I have split areas into 3. Each area controlled by a separate thermostat. We move furniture around in winter to the back of the room. In summer we move furniture to the front of the room. I have used carbon film of 80Wm2. Areas are approx 600watts, 700 watts and 350watts. Not all areas on at once. Reflective underlay with laminate on top. Just about to install. Fingers crossed.
