I just got quoted $1,000 out the door for an install in my 2018 AWD SE. Journeys off road authorized dealer here In California. parts and labor to install with alignment. About a day and a half turnaround time. Get it done , you’re already thinking about it 😉
Minivans are one of the most versatile vehicles you can buy. Just people can't get by the soccer mom stigma so they by less versatile fake SUVs called crossovers.
Amen to that. And what they don't realize is that SUVs are the new soccer mom vehicles cause everyone is buying them, and the minivans are now the new luxury utility vehicles 😎
Toyota siennas are about the only minivans worth doing this too not too mention the only ones with the AWD option which only makes sense. They are fantastic in the snow. Coming from me ..And im a snow plow guy. I thought about putting a salt spreader on the back on mine. That utility
@@jonathanfreedom1st I have a similar lift on my Chrysler minivan and it was worth every dollar. Even without AWD it does great in snow. I live and work in a ski town and I'm often out before the roads are plowed.
If you think about it, the drop/spacer kit for the rear diff is genius. A lot of vehicles that get a/m lift kits have issues with the diff & transmission b/c of the new angle of the axle (to much stress) With the rear diff spacer kit the axles are still straight vs at an angle.
This is not the first ever lifted Toyota Sienna, I lifted my 2011 XLE AWD Sienna, 3 1/2 inches as well. But beware, its not super significant but like some other lifted vehicles from 0 to say about 25 with accelerator punched hammer down, it will deliver drive line vibration, and also in install process, the Swaybar links provided by Journey's offroad, will seem as though the wrong swaybar links, they are smaller in length to the original ones and are required to install pointing the bolt stud toward the tire. Opposite of the original ones also the bolt diameter will appear slightly smaller than original so they just need to be torqued down tight. Keep in mind you can also upsize the tires after this custom lift, to 255/55/R18. Before the install it bottomed out everywhere. Terrible impractical Low. They need at least 2 additional inches to make sence to me. But obviously based on my Google profile pic, im a 4x4 lover.
So did they drop the transmission a bit and the rear differential to deal with the CV joint problems created by lifting the vehicle? If not, how did they deal with this issue?
Nope. Not any parts provided to address that if that poses a problem. There is very subtle drive line vibration probably due to the angle and pitch of the cv halfshafts or something. At least in mine. Not significant enough to sound an alarm. Im actually pretty picky about that stuff too. What do you know about this problem if i might ask? Just incase I may need to know
Now this is the best thing to do. A lift kit spacers for 2000-2010 Toyota Sienna, and 2011-2019/2020 Toyota Sienna is awesome. I heard for the FWD is $710 and for AWD the lift kit spacers are $740. We got 07’ and 18’ siennas. And I’m gonna try to convince my mother to get herself some nice lift kit spacers. With AWD it’s even better. A little bit of rigged minivan if you will. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Average about 1100 bucks for install. Nationwide. And thats only if you find a place that will do it. Alot of places will not. You have to basically call places that specialize in offroad and 4x4. Im not sure exactly about dealers or their prices.
@@toyotabrony I think that is on the low side Its about 12 hours labor. No lie. The whole rear axle gear box has to be disconnected, and a extender applied to drop it down lower, axle bar extended lower, as well as exhaust pipe, brake hoses, shocks extenders, and coil spring spacers.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this isn't the first lifted Toyota Sienna. A good friend of ours has had his lifted with BFG K02s for a couple years now. PS: the Sienna needs an aftermarket trans cooler if it's going to be used as a light/moderate offroader
Having taken a Sienna on many camping trips, I wish I'd done this a long time ago. What was the final ground clearance? Were the springs upgraded? Any change of wheel or offset?
Since the content uploader wont answer you question. I believe about 10ish inches. A decent lift opposed to the 6 inch factory clearance it had....I havent measured mine yet. But not a dramatic or tacky lift. Subtle lift especially if you leave the original Tires. Which i will not.
No the springs remained, all you do is apply lift spacers to front strut and coil and lift spacers to real coil. As well as many other parts to extend down the rear axle and bar...shock extenders, exhaust cut and mod, longer brake hoses etc
Ha I was thinking the same thing. I have a 1995 Land Cruiser. The Siennas have great mileage, reliable and I don't have plans to go any where extreme. Might have over done it buying a LC.

@@toyotaofbend I have a 2016 FWD Sienna. My car is about 50,000 miles and is in excellent condition. Fitted this lift kit, changed wheel tires and cost a lot of money. I've been calling Journeys Offroad, but it's safe for 10 out of 100 to do this. They also say something that can be done if the mission is bad. That is not at all. I think I should sell the experiment. The kit is 700$ and the installation cost is also 300$ or more. I've spent over $2,000 now and have to pull the kit off again. I wish GM would bring back the AWD Astro and Safari.

Yes! Long overdue. I'm on board. Toyota take note.
I really love this
Can the tires also be changed into off road? That would be cool 😳
Yep. Can upsize the tires as well. Also have more aggressive tires that will then fit
Good mechanic, just raps the bolts out without supporting the weight of the axle. Goodbye threads
Welp... I need this! Any idea what the customers plans were? Bigger, beefier tires?
How much was the install cost?
Considering the customer bought the kit what would dealer labor be to install it ?

How does the lift kit effecy handling and gas milleage ? Anything negative that you can think of ?
Where can I buy spacer for front struts, toyota sienna 2011?

I would also like to know how much cost would be for that job The rear looks the most Cost in labor

It averages about $1100 in any shops that will do it. Many shops will not.
Which dealer in California works with lifting the Sienna without voiding warranty ?
Now THAT's a great question!
That front bumper needs to slope inward at the bottom to increase approach angle now instead of skirt out even further out like it does
I just installed a 2" metal coil spring spacers for rear coil springs on my 08 and new strut plus in front . no more dragging it's butt
What size are those yakima cargo boxes? This looks sweet.
Hello! This was the Carbonite 16 cargo box. You can check out our website www.toyotaofbend.com/ for more info. Thanks!
Did the warranty stay intact?

It's necessary to be all wheel drive, do you think can be install on front wheel drive too???
Journeys website lists the fwd for a few dollys less.
Yep they have kits for both front and and AWD
Can anyone direct me for a 2021 lift kit for sienna ? I really need to find out when our sienna arrives

Toyota should do this standard.
So sick👍, 💖! How much(Turnkey)?
How would I add front and rear tow points to an off road Sienna?
Hitch in rear would he easiest. Havent looked the front over too much yet
Is there a part number for that kit and where can I order it from ?
Journey's OffRoad. 3.5 inch lift for sienna. I think they are in Las Vegas. If im not mistaken
How much did the kit and install cost?
The kits is $750 from Journeys Off Road. The labor is probably $1500ish. It take at least 12 hours.
I want to know where to buy that kit
Look up Journeys offroad.
Can you do on a 2010 town & country touring. That would be sick
The installation was done at a Toyota dealership.
Its a kit specifically for Toyota sienna, front wheel and AWD. Made by Journey's offroad. Dealer is just installing it for a customer.
Yes.
1:09 do you really need a tire lift?
Probably not but considering back injuries are the #1 Work Comp claim, I think it's a good idea.

Considering the awd has run flats which weigh more than standard tires, probabaly good practice.
Went to my dealership here in Delaware and they're telling me this doesn't exist. WTF??
Was that a 3 inch lift?
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
3 1/2 inch
