Top Video. After the war, here in Austria Carcanos were typical guns for poaching. The but was shortened and bayonett removed for hining in a rucksack. I found such a gun in an old farmhouse. Greetings from 🇦🇹
I remember being interested in one a few years back and kept putting it back. Now that I finally decided to get one, I can't find them under $199 in good condition anymore! DK all out of stock. Sarco selling cracked ones for $155. Classicfirearms out of stock. J&G sales has them for $199. RTI has some for $139 with cracked stocks. I wonder if any new shipments are going to come in the future.
Are the double struck Brescia Carcano FNA-Bs all M91/38. FNA-B with a ghost FNA-B stamps on the first. That one is on the WW2 gun bucket list. Not a lot of information on them.
Oh come now , enough with mispronunciations . Have you ever heard how we butcher English. Mo-shetto ……. Mo-sketto. We all know what they are saying. Honestly , I’m embarrassed how we Italians pronounce the English language.
@@GreatNorthwestWeaponry Came in today! Matching 1896 Carbine 1st configuration with a great looking bore. I don't think it went through any arsenal refurbishments and isn't fitted with a upper handguard. I didn't win the Powerball but I think I did good for $149 lol
One serious problem for the 6.5 Carcano is that they actually use .268 projectiles, not the common .264.... that’s the only reason I sold my Carcano M38 carbine...
Oh I desperately want to! Speaking of it’s Japanese cousin I actually picked up something else pretty interesting that I’ll be doing soon, ever heard of a Japanese Carcano Type I?
If it’s in 6.5 Carcano ammo is actually fairly easy to find, I stumble across it frequently you just have to keep your eyes open. It’s usually between $1.00 and $1.50 a shot. If you get one in 7.35 Carcano you are gonna have a much harder time, Steinel Ammo is the only company I am aware of that produces that caliber, it’s fair price for it’s rarity (I think about $2.00 per shot) and they make excellent ammo but you would have to wait probably several weeks for the order to be fulfilled as they are backordered out quite a ways currently.
@@GreatNorthwestWeaponry Sorry for bothering ya again. There's two sites that I'm looking at buying one from. What experience do you have with DK Firearms and Royal Tiger Imports?
I have only ever bought from GunBroker personally (online anyway, I try to buy in person when possible) and it’s no bother I’m happy to help when I can!

Well he pronounced Carcano correctly. Only Ian from Forgotten Weapons and this narrator pronounced Carcano correctly so lets cut the man some slack brother. I'm as Italian as they make them as well.
Blessings from Australia ✊
Thank ya!

Thanks man, and I’d not heard of that, very interesting!

I bought one, On line, about two weeks ago for $129, from a ware house in Easton PA.
I am quite jealous
Where? Not SARCO..?
@@jarodcrazyindian yup.
Thank you very much for this very interesting video on the Carcano, I have a 91/m38 6.5x52 carabiner from 1941 and I find this weapon magnificent. 👍😀
Thanks for watching! They definitely don’t get enough love
I’m Michael Lorusso, & I approve of this video. Well done Thomas!...
On a side note, as an Italian, thank you for pronouncing “Carcano” correctly :)
Thank you for watching and glad I actually got a pronunciation correct!

I ordered one of these. Hopefully, I'll get a decent one. Great video!
Thanks for watching, and good luck with yours!

Dumb. No offense, but you missed the point. Nothing but love for ya.
Nice video! Ever think about picking up this rifle's Japanese cousin? (type 44)

@@GreatNorthwestWeaponry Yes! I have yet to get one.
I was surprised to find one here with how relatively few were made, really excited about that one
Sadly I just sold mine. My shoulder injury is just making it to painful to enjoy... So I got a M1 Carbine instead!
Always sad to let a piece go but I’d say an M1 Carbine is quite a trade up!
just gonna add that if you reload, you can make some low recoil loads with unique powder or trailboss. pretty much most pistol powder
*too 😋
Been looking at getting one myself. Any good places to get ammo cheap for it?

Pronounced "Mohs-kett-o". Not Moshh-shitto. It's an Italian thing.
Thank ya, I don’t pretend to know a thing about the Italian language I just guess lol
