- Attack on Titan (Japanese: 進撃の巨人, Hepburn: Shingeki no Kyojin, lit. 'The Advancing Giants') is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. It is set in a world where humanity is forced to live in cities surrounded by three enormous walls that protect them from gigantic man-eating humanoids referred to as Titans; the story follows Eren Yeager, who vows to exterminate the Titans after they bring about the destruction of his hometown and the death of his mother. Attack on Titan was serialized in Kodansha's monthly shōnen manga magazine Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine from September 2009 to April 2021, with its chapters collected in 34 tankōbon volumes.
An anime television series was produced by Wit Studio (seasons 1-3) and MAPPA (season 4). A 25-episode first season was broadcast from April to September 2013, followed by a 12-episode second season broadcast from April to June 2017. A 22-episode third season was broadcast in two parts, with the first 12 episodes airing from July to October 2018 and the last 10 episodes airing from April to July 2019. A fourth and final season premiered in December 2020, airing 16 episodes in its first part. A second part consisting of 12 episodes aired from January to April 2022, and a third and final part will premiere in 2023.
Attack on Titan has become a critical and commercial success. As of September 2022, the manga has over 110 million tankōbon copies in print worldwide, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time. It has won several awards, including the Kodansha Manga Award, the Attilio Micheluzzi Award, and the Harvey Award.

nowadays I started avoiding seeing anime 'cause of some anime fans, but snk was the best anime I've ever watched, it has one of the best suspenseful story line and how emotions are shown according to the story like how levi's only friends die or eren's cry, even though aot's ending is tragic where half of the population dies and mainly eren dies, i think this was a more or less perfect ending of a great anime

For me Naruto is the only masterpiece in the world of anime, that's what I used to believe before watching AoT but after i watched it and have to say plot twist and action, storyline is on next level . The level is somewhat near to Naruto. The level or joyride of different emotions that I got from this series is somewhat make me believe that this anime can join equal or little bit lower realm compare to Naruto. Really great work Hajime Isayama for this series.

Titan Shifters :- The Titan Shifters are people who can transform into specially modified Titans with some unique ability with them. They transform when they are bleeding by getting hurt or biting their fingers of. These people can regenerate their body parts after their transformation ends. There are 9 Titans that a person can shift into
1. Colossal Titan
2. Armoured Titan
3. Cart Titan
4. Jaw Titan
5. Warhammer Titan
6. Attack Titan
7. Female Titan
8. Beast Titan
9. Founding Titan
These Titans can be inherited by different people from the Titan Shifters by a process. First the inheritor is made a Titan using a Titan Serum. Then he has to eat the Current owner of one of the 9 Titans. After eating, the inheritor will transform into a human again and become a Titan Shifter.
