I was all or nothing in my walk and in my work so much that I became judgemental. I felt if my colleagues weren't at my level, they weren't doing enough. Through leaving that job and a few years of such peace and a deep breath, I am happier and more than thankful. I am so thankful, grateful and feel more blessed. Even through the hurricane I physically just went through. God has Mercy.

I too had an ALL OR NOTHING mindset which led to a lot of “activity” in ministry. Admittedly, money was always in the picture trying to figure out how to work in full time ministry and also support a family. This was muddied a great deal by a religious organization instructing me how to do this (enterprise) which coupled with my own ambition led to a feeling of pay to play in ministry. It was out of the Spirit led rhythm and clearly hearing from God due to the business side pressure to perform. Now I’m simply following Jesus, discipling young business men (and my own children) and working on being a godly man. Much of this is simply byproduct of Abiding with Jesus. He saved me again! I’m really tracking with you keep up the heartfelt messages! Many will benefit. Get out of the performance trap Saints!

A lot of worries, we shall have as we are part of this wicked, evil - problematic world,
BUT, GOD says to us: WORRIE NOT:
Luke 12:22 | View whole chapter | See verse in context And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. Matthew 6:25 | View whole chapter | See verse in context Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Matthew 6:31 | View whole chapter | See verse in context Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? True, to have a life full of FREEDOM, rather then life full of worries, a soul, must CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD - COME TO REPENTANCE - BORN AGAIN - seeking out the truth/CHRIST/ missing knowledge.
      Keep the 10 commandments,
Preach the good news to others,
expose all that is evil and wrong.
Then GOD shall give us: John 14:27 | View whole chapter | See verse in context Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 | View whole chapter | See verse in context Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
“But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.” Psalms 13:5 (KJV)
GOD ask us a simple question: ARE WE WILLING TO TRUST HIM? - as HE was willing to DIE FOR OUR SINS.
And as ye be sober and alert , you then shall notice, the signs of the soon, very soon to start, the trib. period.
As i wisit the supermarket today, i notice that one lady paid with her PHONE, no paper money, no coins, no cards, A PHONE. -That is clear sign of the TRIB. PERIOD, and how life in that period shall be: Only for souls, who took the MOTB, only to them, the supermarkets shall be opened, people like me, who shall reject satan and his MOTB and who are founded not worthy to LEAVE EARTH IN RAPTURE, for us, all supermarkets shall be closed, for only with the MOTB, buying and selling is still available.
So? are ye saved? - are ye sober and alert? - are ye watching and seeking the signs? or are ye unsaved? - ignorant? - a fool who rather perish into torment, then have boldness to choose life?
Are ye part of this wicked world and therefore being the same evil? Or are ye chosen by GOD out from this world and therefore being hated by the world for it?

I travel alot. There are 2.5 billion Christians worldwide, millions of communities and ministries we will never know in our short life span. Personally, I will never make a single Church narrative the pivot of my life. Jesus is my pivot. The world is huge.

I was sweep in to preaching one night that turned in to immediately once a week then the pastor passed away six months later and I became pastor for over 2 years now. I've been having heavy thoughts of leaving.
I was heavy with taking care of son that has cerebral palsy & my dad who had 2 brain surgeries. I have 2 dress & bath him.
I felt so much on my shoulders . I felt myself getting angry & frustrated. THE LORD has been my strength. The LORD has taken me to his word that says that no matter what I learn or what I do without LOVE I am nothing.. He has lifted a weight from me & immediately I was free & I see so clearly again. I realized I was trying to carrying the load & it's not mine to carry. I'm supposed to give all to him and rest in him and walk in LOVE. Now I can live life and live more abundantly in LOVE.
Thank you for your time and sharing your testimony. Excited to continue in LOVE.

I am in the quiet season. It gave me time to reflect on what my faith is all about. It also gives me time to reflect on how others on all levels handle their ministry. I also looked at believers and non-believers how they live their life. This quiet season taught me more than the time I was in the open season. Bible Knowledge without love is philosophy. Sadly, revelation is also sorrow. Jn 3:16, it doesn't qualify Christians to be in the judge & jury ministry. At the same time, revelation gives new vision and hope. More importantly, reveals God's heart. Thanks for sharing Jon.

That’s a great verse. There are times when a quiet life is not “quiet”. Also a quiet life is more about having a quiet spirit and having balance in our lives than it is chilling out all the time. A quiet life can be busy outwardly but it will be balanced and peaceful in the heart.

Many Christians today have forget HOLY SPIRIT, they become carnal christian not spiritual christian, HOLY SPIRIT can speak, he can teach you, he will lead you into all truth. We must walk with spirit, pray with spirit, do everything with spirit, You all have HOLY SPIRIT, HOLY SPIRIT guides prophets, apostles and our Lord Jesus, He is SPIRIT OF FATHER

I quit from church 3 years ago. I am happy, because God called me to quit, and give me a new task to bring His kingdom to this world. God wants us to enter His kingdom and unity in His Kingdom, not in the church organization. Get out of the world kingdom immediately.

Your videos are quite refreshing. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I am on a similar journey, trying to find my feet in this new season as I grapple with questions on faith, church etc... I was heavily involved in ministry, right from my early years until Covid struck, when I underwent an period of depression and came out with a lot of questions. I too vehemently believed in the all or nothing principle and preached it. I'm now trying to find God away from all the hustle and bustle, like Martha did.

Thanks for sharing Johnathan. I believe for decades now the church has been influenced by the performance indicators in the corporate world as to what defines a successful Christian life. Young pastors in particular are impacted by the business results oriented church culture and not realising the Word of God emphasises on fruits and not results. The former demands a close relationship with God but the latter demands a busy schedule with works. The kingdom of God is built by the position of our hearts and not by the performance of our hands.

Brother, it’s alright to find back our original purpose in God, our actual calling when we feel it no longer feels right. Leaving ministry is not wrong in the kingdom of God. I listen quietly to u. I sense you are speaking alot out of yr bible knowledge, pastoral experience and personal spiritual reasoning. However, when we speak out of our Holy Spirit, it always edifies, always protects, always out of love. But being Christ-centric in our speech relies a lot on our faith in God. Be like Jesus, we can be our own version of Jesus in our world, but remember that light attracts light, take heed that darkness attracts darkness. God bless you.

my brother, not sure if you are still struggling with this, but from personal experience and experience seen in others, there is and was most likely an element of self-serving and identity validation you received as well as energised, which is the feeling of loss you may have as your identity was formed around your work. I know I am learning about what the verse col 3:1-11 means to be hidden with christ, ie my identity and what I do on the earth is storing up treasures in heaven.

I see from the ESV Bible’s Concordance Word Study that you are assuming an eisegetical exposition contra the “quiet life” recorded in 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12. You might need to check-ἡσυχάζω
    Transliteration: hēsychazō
Outline of Biblical Usage: to keep quiet
to rest, cease from labour, to lead a quiet life, said of those who are not running hither and thither, but stay at home and mind their business
to be silent, i.e. to say nothing, hold one's peace.

We are the church called to go out into the world BEYOND the sanctuary and be a light to the world. Those were Jesus' very instructions. Yet we hide behind the the pews, seats and four walls of the church.🙃

Denz, why is your question so aggressive and judgmental? Examine yourself and it’ll benefit you to stop assuming reasons why Ps Jon left the church. It is none of your business. God will not approve such behaviour.
We should focus on our own personal relationship with God rather than poke our noses in others. I don’t know where you got the information that Ps Jon is “disappointed with God” - if anything what he shared in his videos tells me he is actually growing even closer to God during this quiet season. Be like Mary and less like Martha. Spend more time with God and you’ll find yourself less inclined to worry about others’ business.
