Amen! On the night that I was to be initiated into freemasonry, an overwhelming feeling of "Don't do it" washed over me. It was the most extraordinary thing. It was literally an hour or so before the ceremony. I listened, and didn't attend. I am forever grateful to Almighty GOD for intervening,and for keeping me safe. Praise Almighty GOD.

I’m so glad you obeyed The Lord, brother! My uncle joined Freemasonry. He was a 3rd degree. His family, including his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, have been absolutely destroyed, because of it and now he’s in hell. It’s a curse. Literally. I’m so glad you don’t have to worry about any of that. I’ll see you up there, one day.

Unfortunately, I had completely lost my way at the time that I was approached to join the Freemasons. I was in a completely inappropriate relationship, and had been ostracised by most people I knew. I was told that being a part of their organisation would be the best thing to help me at that time. I almost joined,it was quite literally at the last minute that I pulled out! The Holy Spirit was undoubtedly with me that night. Praise Almighty GOD!

I'm 68 now and up until 7 years ago I'd somehow had always thought I was a some kind of saved Christian that could get away with living a rather worldly life with my back turned to Jesus. I'd made a very flippant decision (in just a matter of seconds) to be baptized at 14 years old and thought that, from then on, that was all that was ever needed. But 7 years ago Jesus started getting my head back on straight showing me how far off the mark I've been. Its been a slow continuos struggle partly because pride has been a central issue. But He's getting me there bit by bit, but only by His grace. Thanks to Him, I'm not who I used to be and look forward to growing closer & closer to Him, hopefully becoming more like Jesus. I thank and praise Him, the Holy Spirit and my Abba Father, and am becoming more confident in my relationship with Jesus everyday.

Please investigate the different theologies being presented throughout most Protestant churches that are preaching a big contradiction to the true word of God.
*Excerpt from Derek Prince admitting the need to separate the body of Christ from the promise to Israel/ Gods chosen:
Prince strongly opposed replacement theology. His book The Destiny of Israel and the Church argues that the Church has not replaced Israel and that the covenant that God made with the nation of Israel still stands today. Prince also believed that the creation of the state of Israel was the fulfillment of biblical prophecy. Derek states in his book Promised Land, "The central theme of biblical prophecy, as it is being unfolded in our time, revolves around the land and the people of Israel. God is carrying out His predetermined plan to regather the Jewish people from their worldwide dispersion and restore them to their ancient homeland."

Thank God I came across this. I only just walked away from a group because I began to feel uncomfortable at how the leader would call everyone prophet and prophetess. I can listen to Derek Prince for hours. It's partly his nice voice,, or unhurried pace, but really it's probably the Holy Spirit.

@@YenkammaNe There is one history and one truth of how the universe came to be. Think about it. There is really only one origin and one truth - to EVERYTHING that exists! (besides opinions and feelings of course). What you posted here is based on that there is no truth. If that were ''true'' then everything we have discovered through science is wrong and therefore we should not teach science or math because it is totally frivolous and irrelevant because ''there is no truth'' and everything is just make-believe. But with a little deeper thinking and history we know that is not true at all! There is real Science, real Math, and Real History. Reality does not change based on individual imagination and anyone who uses this premise as their ''spiritual authority'' is in spiritual grave danger. Hinduism is very similar to Satanism with it's anything goes and there is no truth mentality. No Truth= Lies, which lead to The Fall. Satan is the father of lies and as part of his rebellion trying to gain as many followers as possible. Hinduism stands the test of time? Not really. Texts about Hinduism and the Biblical texts were both written relatively near the same time, since all human writing started around 3,400 years ago. Christianity is larger than Hinduism, so all things considered, I'm not sure why you believe Hinduism ''stands the test of time''. Hinduism believes their religion is timeless, yet they don't believe in an ultimate truth, so I suppose, according to Hinduism what they say is true, isn't really true, because according to them there is no truth...🤔 Well the Bible is based on one Truth and the Original Creator of the universe (because if you really study how perfectly everything in this world works, you will know it had creative intelligence behind it!) and His Godly authority and the saving power of his son Jesus' sacrifice to pay our bond for sin after the original fall of mankind and our spiritual eternity depends on that! Please think/pray(to THE Creator)/research about this. 🙏✝ Since your religion doesn't forbid you to pray to the God of the Bible, then try doing so, asking for true revelation for at least a month and see what happens. The true God of the Universe wants his children back and will answer you if your heart is open to His Truth!

I miss Derek Prince. He bought me a hot fudge sundae at Denny’s when I was a young teen. He and his first wife Ruth used to come here to Midland, Texas often. His series on spiritual warfare is excellent. I think selfishness is the plague of our time now. But it is rooted in pride.

I met Derek Prince many years ago when I was a member of a holiness sect. We wore uniforms and were very proud of being “the highest light!” I wondered why Derek was noticeably cold towards me. Now I know why! Such spiritual pride! Thank the Lord we realized that we were sinners saved by Grace and left that sect.
Saved by God's Grace which is Catholic teaching. Not by Faith Alone which is Protestant teaching.

I don't know how I got to Derek Prince videos but I thank the Holy spirit for leading me to him.I was in a very bad space but ever since I started following his teaching,everything change for good.

I love how he articulates things. Sometimes it's just a simple statement I feel I should know already, but for some reason, and I believe it's the Holy Spirit, he is anointed in a way that his teachings can be heard and understood simply. I pray that this anointing spread for this time. May many be used for God to teach deep truths in a simple and clear way that can be heard.

Church is a spiritual hospital and if the people who are hurting get manipulated it’s so easy to make them join a cult even if they preach the world . If a pastor talks about how they have helped people , how they are humble 🚩proverbs 27:2”Let someone else praise you, and not your own mouth; an outsider, and not your own lips.”

Thank you so much for sharing this. I truly need this. I battle pride every day and I hate it. I can’t wait to be home with him and not have to deal with this nasty sin anymore.
You have named the solution, or at least part of it - battling DAILY. When left unattended to for more than a day, if it be a besetting sin, it begins to take root and makes itself comfortable in our lives. Months, years, decades later and that sin looks a lot different to what it did half way through the first day.
Declare Colossians 3:12 over yourself and renounce pride in Jesus Name, bind it and cast it down in the mighty name of Jesus
Having a low self esteem is just as painful xxx
Like Derek says, one reason we need to fast is that it reduces pride.
The other thing you can do is do a study from the Bible about the situations with pride. It will probably be very life changing if you take it personally.
You have the victory by His sacrifice. Walk in faith and He will help you to live it every day. Praise, praise and praise again. Thank you Lord Jesus !

Pride is the opposite of what the Apostle describes in this verse. If you renounce pride and declare that you put on the aforementioned character aspects then pride will have no room in you. I hope that helps you 🙂

The church I attend chooses not to have a ""membership"" but you are a part of the body of Christ and that is where we all choose to fellowship, and get fed The Word of God together. God led me to this church as I had prayed for direction and guidance.

Please pray for us. We left our church as a large family because it was saturated with the world .We had fellowshipped there for 30 years. It ran a “membership”scheme. As soon as we left we were deliberately excluded by the pastor from the church prayer updates and news of our brothers an sisters in Christ who we had know a long time. It saddens us to think we cannot continue praying for those in need ! We meet at home but are waiting for the Lord to show us a new Spiritual home. Reading these comments has greatly encouraged. I love the list "those God chose" in 1 Corinthians 1:26-30, because when I feel rejected and worthless I can remember that I am qualified for service.
Jesus doesn’t have a super group. 1Corinthians 1:26 No many wise, mighty or noble - but God has chosen the foolish, weak, despised, that no flesh should glory in his presence. Purpose? To eliminate pride.
If they tell you that you MUST give to get....RUN AWAY.

Robert Morris's teaching called The Blessed Life is the very best teaching about tithing and giving I've ever heard in my 71 years. He goes back and shows us what the bible REALLY says, and it blew me away! One of his comments was "we don't give to get, we get to give!"
As soon as I listen to most other Christian channels they never sit right o always come back to Derek where I feel the truth even when it's challenging uncomfortable I trust it's the truth

Behind all deception (getting in and achieving its goal) is pride. Yes, I can attest to that in my own life and have also seen it in the lives of others. Pride comes to a point where we cannot be taught anything contrary to what we think is true and actually enjoy being flattered. Pride can get so ingrained that most all of our doctrine might be correct yet we are no more than a loveless and powerless clanging cymbal useful for nothing except the scrapyard. If we truly belong to God, then He will deal with it and it will be painful - very painful in some cases!

I was fortunate to hear Derek Prince's message, in Mumbai, in my late teens. I don't remember a lot of what he spoke, but I remember being inspired to hold steady to my faith.
Brilliant sermon! I found it difficult to join groups, not because they wanted me to swear allegiance to Christ Jesus, but because they also wanted me to swear allegiance to the group, ie, to men, that I could not do. It felt like I was breaking the Second Commandment to do so. Why would we ever want middle men, between us and God, when He wants us to be His children? And isn’t Jesus our High Priest, in the order of Melquisedek?

And let's be honest there are very very few churches that don't require membership or church allegiance rather than purely leadership to follow Jesus. After all -- bottom line -- church is a business! So he is definitely making the distinction of allegiance to Jesus rather than the religious system. And is basically saying good luck in finding a Jesus following Church and here is your alternative of what would Jesus do. 🙏😇 It is written in story format and is not preachy or doctrinal at all. I belonged to a church several years ago. That pastor retired and moved across the country to be with his son. But anyway, if you joined the church, you were able to vote on issues having to do with finances (missionary support, church repairs, outreach, raises for pastor and secretary, donations…), deacons, church programs etc .
Pride I ask that God's will be done in my life, and my children and grandchildren. Pride is so very deceptive. I am nothing without Jesus!
Be sober and take a step back when visible things are too attractive. we are rooted in heavenly spheres.

Men are more special in the body of Christ. They get to be both in the crowd and behind the pulpit and they also get to call all the shots and get to be deacons, overseers and evangelists. Women are not allowed to do those things. That's 100% special treatment right there. Give me a break please.

You read scriptures, but understand them in your own human way for your own peril and not in the Spirit and Truth. To teach all peoples down to the end of times in the Spirit and Truth, I founded My Church (Matt 16:18) and, before Ascension, gave My Divine Commission to teach all that I have commanded (Matt 28:20). Some of you do not believe (John 6:36) all I have spoken and commanded. These are branches separated from the Vine by their own free will and will be thrown into a fire (John 15:6). Whoever rejects Me and does not accept My Words has something to judge him; the word that I spoke, it will condemn him on the last day (John 12:48). Our Lord is very grieved and suffers by these who persist in believing in heresies and partial truth. Brothers and sisters in Christ, quickly return to the Father's House like the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32) before it is too late and make Heaven rejoice. What he speaks of is increasingly common in otherwise evangelical churches. The leadership boast and display their peacock feathers, and go for virtue seeking victories (photo ops, optics, etc) while the afflicted are further marginalized and cast out. "You, go sit on the ground there".
How many suicides take place among afflicted crying out for help within churches? I'm not talking about unrepentant ones reveling in their sins, but ones seeking help for their families. How many ask for prayer in serious issues of salvation, surviving, and giving hope to the hopeless and the result is crickets yet there is a flood of prayer, counsel, and material needs met for someone wanting a better car, home, starting a business, or doing well on an exam?
Imagine kids living in despair and hopelessness facing major surgery, recovering from suicide attempts, and desperately crying out to be loved and included to then be ignored and met with deafening silence. Meanwhile, select others are nearly drowned in affection, fellowship, prayers, and intercession. Imagine the church boasting in the frequent hosting, or visiting of the select few yet refuse to acknowledge neglect of others, much less apologize and make changes.
"Dad, why can't I be loved? What am I doing wrong?"
"If I played a guitar or had a suped up car, would that help?"

@@jenniferapril9794 God bless you sister, keep the faith; God is faithful and has a good plan; just keep getting fed and following Him and find one or two persons around that wants to share and apply together what you read; go out once a week to share the truth or just share it at work and supermarket and when doing paperwork. Continue close to Him and who knows, maybe He will plant a new church using you in there is n'one real in the neibourhood or maybe you just need to lovingly and persistently speak the truth in your older church and some might be saved and changed . I pray that will clearly guide you, speak clearly to your heart, strengthen you and transforme you, give you peace, humility, boldness and His love. He Who has begun a good work in you will also do it until the end.

I felt the same then I came across a passage about fellowship and the Lord put in my heart the importance of fellowship. Ask him to lead you to a church that will feed you and who has a passion or after God's own heart

What if the pastor stands in the pulpit and says this church is lucky to have the best members and makes a big ado about how great people are. It's like they're corporately bragging through joking. But I still got the inner feeling that it displeased God.
I would say ask God whether to stay or leave. But if you stay , you're really gonna have to be very focused that you're staying to please & obey God and not to please people. And in my experience there will be a Jezabelle spirit afoot. And likely there will be clicks, favoritism, gossip, people being slighted. And possibly even sexual immorality in the leadership of some form.
So you need to watch your step. Remember God wants to bring the church to repentance. But only stay if God directs you to stay. You're gonna be tasked with praying for the repentance and cleansing of the church body. God never instructed me to announce what he showed me. He only instructed me to pray for certain things. And he brought those things to pass.
I wonder what Derek thought about Christmas celebrations for christians.
It’s funny how we can all relate to this teaching. We all have to overcome the same obstacles and fight the same demons as the rest of society.

Wise and true words from a time when People of or claiming to be of the Ephesians ministries and their disciples set up apparently dynamic churches that seemed so different and exciting, but fell into the trap of arrogance superiority pride and domination of the sheep. Most fell apart and split leaving wreckage instead of the glory promised, but the decendants are still around as denominations in all but name, looking good but with the same cult like leadership dominating an coercing just below the smiling surface, and making a great living/family business in the process.
I met Derek Prince in Paradise Valley AZ at my home church Calvary Church of the Valley with my Pastor Shelly Volk. What a formidable time in my early walk with the Lord to be among and taught by these godly men. Thank you Lord!
I have always been rejected by the churches members as if I don't fit in the Body of Christ because they thought that I am too weak and not at their position and I should sit in the corner of the church forever but they love my money.

Women are supposed to sit in the corner of the church. That's even in the Bible. Men behind the pulpit, AKA Pastors and preachers, evangelists, deacons, and overseers actually tell women to sit in their corner and shut their mouth.
They might as well prepare the shackles, the chains and whip out the duct tape to tape women's mouth or just come up to the women, punch them in the face to make sure that their teeth get knocked out so they don't talk.
Maybe even better, when all the women try to enter the church, the Pastor should run up as fast as he can to the entrance doors of the church, and slam the doors right in the women's faces. I would love to see that.

Indeed The Lord chose me, one of the most foolish people on the planet, that he may teach me true wisdom through the book of Proverbs and other books. And yes a believers life is know by it’s fruit.
We have been to many churches through these last 24 years due to moving from our hometown to a couple of new towns and every single church either closed down or went in another direction that didn’t include biblical direction. Believe me if your season is done at a church God will make it obvious for you to see it. We are currently at a church and it’s been ok, the sermons have been good but there is a trust issue. I know people are people and no one church is perfect and we are FAR from perfect. We smile and say hi to people and some say hi and smile back and some just look at us or just go out of their way to ignore us. So it’s a toss up at any church. I believe that the lead pastor of this church is Holy Spirit filled, it’s the demeaner and that glow that is the evidence of this. But where we live has a one sidedness that has been here since we moved here in 2005. I just know that I personally do not place my trust in any man/woman, I placed my trust in God and His biblical scriptures, teachings, and gospel. So this is my advice for anyone who has been hurt or injured by the church. Seek God always and

Narelle, I have a question for you as you have experienced a cult. My daughter-in-law is a members of an UPC
Church which is a Oneness church. You can only get saved in their church and they are very legalistic. My son and I have been praying for her leaving this church for six years with no result and she will not discuss it. Only the Holy Spirit can convince her. What do you suggest my son should do.

Honestly for me, it was The Holy Spirit empowering me with discernment, it was a gift, I asked God is what they are saying true? Expositor's Bible Commentary - Old Testament says regarding Pr 29:5b, "There is some uncertainty of the referent in the second line: "he spreads [pores] a net for his steps." This could be a net spread for the one flattered or for the flatterer himself. The latter would make the verse more powerful."
As pastor Prince read verse 29 I wondered who's feet the verse was talking about and the the Expositor's Bible Commentary, as usual, explained it perfectly.

While he is right about the attitude behind "elite groups", it is true at the same time that we should discern the spirits, uncover lies and wrong doctrines and to expose the wolves and wrong teachers. So in a certain sense it is okay and even necessary to despise certain groups which consider themselves disciples of Jesus but they are not. Derek is doing the same by calling mormones a cult. Now, I do not want to disagree with brother Derek but I think there is a line where everyone needs to decide whether certain groups can really be considered disciples. Personally, I believe that most of the evangelical circles are basically apostate. Now, someone could call me out saying I am pride. But I have a strong burden because of the things which are going wrong. I am speaking against the poison which intoxicated large parts of the the so called churches. I do nit consider myself "elite", I simply thing I am a disciple of Jesus and thank God, in most places I find some brethren who are really born again.

The Bible warns about the great falling away in the last days. That is mostly what Revelation is saying to the 7 churches. He is exposing their hypocrisy. You can almost say that any church or pastor who is popular is NOT teaching the full Word of God. People don't want to hear the Truth about their sins!!

When are preachers going to stop using terms and adopting perspectives of the world? Sons of God do not "join" "a" church. There's only one church: the body of Christ; the indefinite article has no application to it. Further, no one can "join" this body; you must, as our COGIC brothers so aptly put it, be "born in." Maybe if you stop referring to the sovereign election of God who chose His people from before the worlds were formed as "joining 'a' church," people would stop thinking of themselves as "accepting Jesus" like their signing up for membership in Sam's Club. Whoopee!

Proverbs 29 Be aware of flattery 🙏 Lord I don't want pride in my walk in Jesus name God bless 🙏 Corinthians 1 for you see your calling.. not many mighty are called but has chosen the foolish things of the world, the things the word that are despised.
My wife has been attending a church and I go just to soothe her but I refuse to be a member or even take part of its "ministry." There are three reasons why:
1. The pastor tolerates sin. He says he has no problem with homosexuals in "his" church.
2. They boast of their own work. Matthew 6:1-4 speaks against this.
3. They teach 2nd grade Christianity and no one grows out of it.
I cannot feel His presence there, there is no fear of God and the pastors boasts of how to build a church without Jesus by entertaining the goats and drawing them in in that way,

We also have to be careful if we are forced to join cell group by any church members. It is ok to be invited to join, to be encouraged to join, but certainly not pushed to joining it. Also, if any cell leader force and keep forcing you to go for deliverance and must be specifically who they dictate you to go under, pls run for your life. And if a church leader look at you with a very fierce angry look and speak to you in a very harsh commanding tone when no others are around, run for your life. I had such bad experiences with my ex-asst cell leader and zone cell pastor. Dominating and controlling spirits in them.

I could not have seen this video in my recommended at a better time. Some young ladies came to my house earlier today out of no where,randomly talking to me about God, and inviting me to their church saying they’re Christians, but I looked at what the Bible they had said “the Book of Mormon” I’ll just stay away.
I joined the only church recognized by God when I came to Christ, thereby being baptized into the body of Christ. All others are manmade; a result of an unloving spirit, disunity in heart, and the refusal to repent of it.

The Fourth Commandment we must obey- to keep the Sabbath- Saturday (not Sunday) Holy and Worship God and be baptised in the name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost - Jesus the Son Of God said " I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to The Father except through Me".
Many will be lost because they choose to reject Jesus who loved us and died on the cross and was raised from death, and gave His Blood as payment to forgive our sins.

I think I posted to you already that the New testament says Jesus is our sabbath!! So it is not a day it is abiding in Jesus for rest. We can do that daily praise God amen❤

Mark 16 14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that BELIEVETH and is BAPTIZED shall be SAVED; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
That is the Church Jesus founded in Mat 16, 17-19.

There is some truth here, but I beg to differ concerning pride as the reason for all deception. Deception is used by the enemy, his demons and the people who serve his kingdom to meet a desire or a *need* in the intended victim. Here's an example: a need for love that will lead one day to a good marriage (a godly pursuit), but as a master of trickery and destruction, a remarkable fake is introduced by the devil to meet the need and the desire of the person who wants to find a candidate for a blessed marriage. I've seen it happen to godly Christians, and usually it's the ones who have more humility and more trust, not the ones with pride, who are taken in. Children are often attacked in much the same way. They need love. They also want to make friends. They have little experience of the enemy's methods, so in a case like this pride is clearly evident in the work of the enemy, but the person who is drawn in by him has fallen prey to evil. Jesus said, "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves." Matthew 10:16 We are like sheep. Pride is not a leading characteristic of sheep. When we are "as wise as serpents" we are less likely to be deceived because we are on the lookout for deception, and with the help of the Holy Spirit we can see it and avoid it before it attacks us like a wolf. Churches are also known as gathering places for those who come to us in sheep’s clothing, although inside they are hungry and vicious wolves. (Matthew 7: 15) Pray that God increases your discernment, so that you will not be deceived again.
