A big happened! During a race at the Dubai Autodrome, the Driver Bernt Hornet, from Netherlands, crashed into the fences at a very high speed. The accident led to a pileup that injured other pilots. Bernt dies instantly. He haves 28 years.

A race with Ols Nascar Vehicles resulted in tragedy. On the Dubai Circuit straight, the 36-year-old driver, Wryzl Pølļhziz, drove at high speed, disputing positions with other drivers. He hit the wall at 230 km/h. The Impact was very strong, destroying the car and causing a pileup, which killed an officer near the accident zone. The Pole was rushed to hospital, but died of chest injuries.

Let's remember the accident that happened in Adelaide on January 12, 2011. On the first lap of the Sports Cars race, Ronald Franco, the 40-year-old Spanish four-time champion, went straight at turn 9. His Ford Type 1001 crashed sideways at 150 miles per hour. He suffered severe head injuries and died 3 weeks later.

Today in Fuji, an accident similar to that of Carlos Pardo happened. Henry Poilloté, a 22-year-old Monegasque, was on the main straight when another driver touched the rear of Poilloté's car. He hit the small barrier of tires that separated the Pits from the Track. After the impact, his car was hit sideways in the passenger door. Poilloté died instantly from multiple injuries.

Recent news. Driver Dario Stredelmenn, aged 30, died today at Spa. During qualifying practice, Dario crashed at the penultimate corner. His Hyundai was stopped sideways in the lane. Soon afterwards, Marcos Assunção crashed into his car, on the driver's door. Dario died instantly from a heart hemorrhage.

A serious accident occurred at the Oklahoma Speedway yesterday. Pilot David Bruce-Brown crashed head-on into the guardrail at 240 km/h. The impact destroyed the machine. As if that wasn't enough, Bruce-Brown was hit by Connor Pat'O. The accident resulted in irreversible sequelae for Bruce-Brown, who died this morning. The Brit was 33 years old.
(As always, a paragraph dedicated to two incredible drivers who had a great future in motorsport, but who lost their lives in accidents.)

After several years without fatalities at Daytona, today an accident took place that unfortunately added to the list of warriors killed on that circuit. Chris Martin, just 18 years old, competed in a 1980s Nascar car race at Daytona. He lost control of his car and hit the corner wall heavily, after which his car was rear-ended by Jimmie Johnson. the Canadian was taken to the hospital, but arrived lifeless.

I think this circuit in Dubai has problems, because for the nineteenth time in 2023 an accident kills a driver on this circuit! Anyway, Dmitri Sherishev from Russia passed away in a serious accident. He competed in a race of Dodge cars, which are very popular these days. On lap 43, his car was intentionally pushed by John Wellington. Sherishev lost control of his Type 56 and crashed at 210 km/h into the straight guardrail, causing his vehicle to catch fire. The car was still hit by Luca LeLeonardo and Rony Toffer. Sherishev suffered severe internal injuries and burns and died 35 minutes after the accident. He was 26 years old.

Roll cages, seatbelts, window nets and arm restraints would have helped wonders for the drivers in this video

Looks like a set up. Dude was ejected the instant the car hit the fence like he wasn't restrained at all. If he was wearing a harness somebody forgot to bolt it to anything.

BeamNG has great crash physics however I notice these cars rocket off while ricocheting from the walls in a quite weird way like they loose all their collective weight. Can't wait till racing games really implement a solid simulated destruction in the future.
Burnout Paradise did great in the crash physics for that time... and it was an arcade.
Games with officially licensed cars will never have crash physics like this. The brands won't allow it.

I asked the same question back in the nfs underground days and the answer I got was manufacturers don't want their cars deforming in game because it might deture people from buying them irl if they see the car blowing apart in a game.
It sounds ridiculous, because it is.

Hey, I think the link for the Adelaide mod in the description is wrong, that is the 1988 version. Do you have a link to the version that you used? The version of modern Adelaide on BeamNG that I can find is from the early 2000's but the one that you have is far newer than that one is, where did you get it?

how do you setup these realistic crashes or fatal crashes and the catch fences?
how do you get the cars to catch air and fly up in the air so easily?
if you get the road grip editor and set hydrodynamic friction to 0.01-0.06 it should work. (0.01 is the least violent flip and 0.06 in the most violent)

If you are showing as is it was in the past few years, none of those wrecks would have been fatal based on the safety precautions all the racing league such as NASCAR, INDY, Formula1, etc. would have the certain safety procedures on the car as well as the track...…and those wrecks look extremely exaggerated to the point where it doesn't seem real. I've never heard of or seen anybody get ejected out of the vehicle when racing.

Ok, 2:16 is the most realistic by far. If you hit the wall hard enough even with a full face crash helmet you can still get severe injuries that are bad enough to cause blunt force trauma and brain trauma which can kill you, not to mention his legs were probably crushed to…
