The only BIG problem is for a user who keeps more than about ten contacts in his account or system. If only a few, maybe up to ten, then user should at least keep neat written records of his contact and their data.

I found this out recently when I tried to export contacts from Outlook desktop to the Windows 11 special folder- the folder does not recognize Exchange E-mail addresses.

I assume any legitimate Provider will import/export CSV files.

It's not that they don't export CSV files, it's what they put into them and what they read out of them that's horribly inconsistent.

Why does MS have so many contacts apps ! People, Contacts, Address book, etc... all different, all isolated, all a mess ! Not mentionning all the doubles, triples, etc....
