(that album also features Greg Howe and Dennis Chambers) Or Cartas Do Brasil. I'd hardly call Kaoru Akimoto a "top 80s idol". She released one solo album called Cologne, two songs for an anime called Fire Tripper and the Shambara album. Her sales for Cologne were quite limited and she was not a household name by any means. The real big names in the band are former Casiopea drummer and bassists Akira Jimbo and Tetsuo Sakurai.
I legit love this. My jazz degree appreciates that I used it while listening to this amazing song. Love the chord progressions, love the fusion-y melody, love the brass, love the vocals, this is exactly my kind of jazz. Perfection.
