      In clips they play while discussing NATO, Finland & Sweden’s new membership is briefly mentioned at timestamp 15:14 but you are correct that overall it was *not made clear* that Finland & Sweden are the current, newest members as at timestamp 17:40 the video references the “newest” member being North Macedonia (who joined in 2020). It’s about as clear as mud….lol..Cheers!

      Also, Russia already started a guerrilla mission in Ukraine 2014. They never wanted to let Ukraine go, even if they didn’t try to join nato. Russia would have only left Ukraine in peace if they were annexed by Russia.

    After this war Russia is expected to fragment into multiple regions, with Moscow losing control permanently. The international community’s refusal to engage with Russia for a generation or two will lead to severe poverty and significant unrest among ethnic groups. These groups will likely see breaking away from Moscow’s control as their only path to a better life. Once these regions are no longer under Moscow’s influence, the global community will be more inclined to do business with them. This shift could result in unprecedented growth for these areas, surpassing any development seen in those areas over the past 2000 years. They might actually get to 100% toilets for all.

      Britain was allied with little more than France when they declared war.
      The French gave up the ghost pretty quickly when invaded leaving the British in the fight on their own.
      If not for the unexpectedly successful troop evacuation at Dunkirk they would have been forced to offer terms of surrender for lack of any support and significant troop loss.
      The US only entered the war because Japan was allied to Germany at the time of the Pearl Harbor bombing.
      Russia entered the war because Stalin got too greedy, invaded countries Hitler wanted for himself and invited Germany to break their non aggression pact and invade Russia, making alliance with Britain a necessity to survive.

    Do most people in predominantly Russian-speaking eastern parts of Ukraine want of be part of Russia or remain part of Ukraine? The worst result of the Ukraine war for Putin is it drove Sweden and Finland, which shares an 800 mile border with Russia and is only 100 miles from St. Petersburg, into joining NATO.

Imagine some cop comes to you and tells you "we found something against your best friend or family member, will you help us to take him down?"😂 You sure will try to talk yourself out of it.

    So you're saying it was the aggression of Nato that caused the invasion of Ukraine, rather than the aggression of Russia and/or its desire to put the USSR together again, to continue siphoning resources and making them proud of their ever increasing size?

    • @ThePurza
      @ThePurza Місяць тому +3

      I kind of see it as.. caused by Russia's impression of NATO aggression, regardless of how fair that assessment was.
      Western leaders did encourage Ukraine to join NATO, as Ukraine moved to strengthen ties with the West.. which in retrospect might have been too much too fast (in the interests of peace).
      I believe that Ukraine should have autonomy to do whatever it wants, Putin is a violent dictator, and no nation wants to be a Russian vassal state.. but if we are going to be fair and evidence-based, we should accept that actions have consequences.

    • @sirtainlee8725
      @sirtainlee8725 Місяць тому +16

      If Russia takes all the bordering nations to form a protective barrier, their new country would still be surrounded by and adjacent to NATO. In reality, if the US or any other nation wanted to possess parts of Russia, they and anyone could have walked in in the 1990s. This is not about the protection, but about possession.

    A casual observation without checking is it seems alot of the information in this video is outdated.
    For example i'm pretty sure Europe hardly buys any Gas from Russian anymore. I believe Gazprom posted a huge loss of billions of dollars and the russians dont have enough piplelines. Nor the facilities to produce or ship much LPG .
    Another example while the inflation rate that was mentioned may be accurate it is an average across the economy
    but the inflation of military equipment is low so that means the inflation on non military goods is much higher

    Russia did it to itself for invading Ukraine a sovereign country. Unfortunately lots of Russian soldiers have given their lives for Putin and Russia. Holding back on money. They owe the soldiers. I believe the soldiers will not fight Putin war. They should all surrender to Ukraine where they will be taken care of, and be part of Ukraine future. From San Diego, California.

      He'll never reach jail.
      When dictators fall, they fall hard.
      Especially when they have so many enemies and contemporaries coveting their power.
      The few Russian oligarchs he hasn't had thrown out a 5th story window yet will swarm the halls of power once he falls and call an end to the war in Ukraine in order to lift the sanctions on their assets frozen progressively since the start of the invasion.
      At the end of the sanctions have been far worse for the other oligarchs than Putin - they want it over so they can get back to the full benefits of their riches.
