💬It would be a crime for me not to mention another awesome, fairly new reactor, @ShawnSalvadori . I have used his reactions in several of my videos now and he’s another reactor who’s dynamics are spot on. Genuine, to the point, and no pausing. He is definitely in it for the journey and I love that so much. Plus, he’s just a nice guy! He’s stopped by my channel a few times and showed lots of love on his last live stream. If you don’t know of him already, please go visit his channel and check him out. www.youtube.com/@ShawnSalvadori I was never a regular listener of Jefferson Starship but this song has NEVER gotten old for me. It makes me want to move every time I hear it. I hope you all enjoy this one and onto the next!💜
Another great reactor for you to put on your compilations, is Sarah Dingler, she has some of the best reactions I've ever seen. She doesn't hold back. She lets her emotions show.
@@ChuckRagland I would love to use her reactions but the one time I did, her husband put a copyright strike on my comfortably numb video. I made arrangements with him to promise never to use her again and remove all donation links from the description if he would remove the strike. He agreed so I can't use her content, unfortunately.
Hats off to the makers of these compilations. I can't even imagine the amount of work and discipline that it must take to put these reactions together. Well done!
You are the master of you tube as another listener has said. I don't know how you do it but you make it happen. Thank you. You are the academy award winner of you tube
😅I wouldn't go so far as to say all that but I appreciate the sentiment, very much. These videos aren't easy to do but they are a labor of complete love for music. So when someone notices the effort I put in, it means a great deal to me. THANK YOU.
Very nice, Momma! Love the reactors' enthusiasm and their expressions as they listen to the purity of Mickey Thomas' vocals. This song and "Stranger," which is on the follow-up album "Modern Times," are my two favorite Starship songs. Mickey and Grace Slick share the vocals on that one and the lead guitarist Craig Chaquico just plain shreds. Cheers!
No thanks necessary. I love watching other editors' creations. I agree, editing/producing is a lot of detail, focus and instinct to do it well. I find editing to music makes it a little easier, don't you? If you have musicality or can keep rhythm with a song, that's everything! The music does a lot of the work for you.
@@WonderMommaOG Yeah the music kinda guides the feel of the editing. Don’t know if you have ever seen the drum cam vid for the song Pneuma by TOOL but check it out. The reactions from drum instructors and professionals is ripe with vid footage. I know you would kill it. Hope you do!
@@STILL-KICKIN I have seen that one. My fellow compilation creator did that song about a year ago so I will wait on that one a bit longer. It's definitely on the list though.
The soundtrack of my youth. So lucky to have incredible singing and dancing music to enjoy and have fun with!!! Talented creative/inventive musicians/technicians leading the way for generations to come. Thanks so much Momma for your time, energy and channel!!! I appreciate you, the reactors, and all of the channels that keep the music alive!!!! Music brings all of humanity together!!! 💟
Another winner, Momma! Such a great song, and you can see the look of sheer joy on some of the reactors faces! All the incarnations of this band are fantastic, starting with Jefferson Airplane, going on to Jefferson Starship, until finally becoming Starship. A brilliant band. Just brilliant.
Wondermomma you always surprise me and you have NEVER let me down!❤ Just like my real Momma❤. Keep doing “that thing you do!” Lots of love from California 🔥🎸😎
I can not add much to what has already been said. Except....😂 I have my original vinyl of this album. It was the first LP i ever bought with my own money. The whole album is 🔥🔥🔥 I appreciate your hard work on these incredible compilations!
Momma!!! Your compilations always make me so happy! I bet if we dug around in our attics, we'd find a whole lot of the same albums and cassettes, lol...Thank you for this and again, as usual, great song choice!!
WonderMommaOG for the win! Again! You Rock and I agree with your thoughts on reactors. I’m big on sincerity and the pure joy of new music discovery. I am the Old School and grew up with all these bands, so it does my heart good to see the youngsters being blown away by our music. You showcase it so very well. You are appreciated. 🙂
Goosebumps!! Such a great song and reminds me of those dark and distant late 70’s playing this far too loud on my Dad’s stereo! Thanks Momma, I have this song on vinyl, cassette CD and now on my playlist! What a tune.
Beautiful work again, wondermomma. Always a fav of mine. Not sure I had heard the version you used at the end...really great. I'll check Shawn out too. Think I've seen him around. Thanks again.
I played this song for a girlfriend at the time, her name was Jane. This was the 2nd iteration of the band, the 3rd is just Starship. Great job as always.
Amazing song, really shows off Mickeys vocals for sure. One of my favs by them, def White Rabbits my top hitter. Love it. Never heard this cover before, Im diggin' it. Thanx for the memories. Take care friend, Peace
Thank you WonderMommaOG for this compilation of my favorite Jefferson Starship song -- Mickey Thomas' vocals are other worldly, "impressive" doesn't even begin to describe it! So glad I found your channel and subbed, I really enjoy all of your hard work, looks incredibly time consuming. If you ever decide to try your hand at something a little less hard rock, I'd love to see a multiple reaction to the first time hearing Karen Carpenter's voice, that would be quite interesting -- any Carpenters song would get the job done and the emotions flowing. 😉 Thanks again for your channel!
Oh Momma!! I just found your channel last month but you are playing a lot of my top 10 all time favorites. Jefferson Starship was my first concert in 1981, just about 44 years ago to the day. This group and song and Find Your Way Back have a special place for me. Modern Times and Winds of Change albums are 🔥 too. Wore them out.🤘Yeah, Fooled Around and Fell in Love too. ❤❤❤
What a rocker! It’s been forever since I heard this. How did the band who did this amazing song turn around in the 80s and crap out “We Built This City”?
Oh Momma, I’m seeing so many familiar faces in your videos. Another banger, song/reactions/editing great job. We’re up to 54 and counting, in 3 months. Operative word is Wow! I’m learning what matters from you but it just has to happen naturally. I still want you to react, when you’re ready. ❤ Joe
Pure 🔥!!! One my favorite Starship jams and unsurprisingly everyone turned on to Mickey’s stellar vocals. Really great to see young people jamming these old classics, but honestly wish people would circle back and check out some other gems on the same records, like the largely forgotten gem “Rock Music”.. would just love to see some reactions to that all around good time FM classic.
It's easy to be blown away by Mickey Thomas' vocals (check out Hold the Line and Fooled Around and Fell in Love). He's elite. Don't miss the excellent drum work by Aynsley Dunbar, who moved to JS after playing the drums on Infinity by Journey (great record BTW).
The history for this band is in the late 60s they were Jefferson Airplane with Grace Slick as lead singer. Incredible voice by the way. Then Mickey Thomas joined and became Jefferson Starship. After Grace left they renamed the band to The Starship.
Paul Rogers, Lou Graham, Paul Carrack and Mickey Thomas ….unparalleled voices of that era. There were others, really good, but not their level. Whether the Airplane or Starship….this was their best song.
Great compilation, as usual, Momma. Jefferson Starship's best song, perhaps the most sensuous pop love song of all time, Miracles, would make a great compilation. A few other suggestions for you: The Eruption guitar explosion that announced Eddie Van Halen's arrival on their debut album followed directly by VH's great rendition of You Really Got Me. Hitch A Ride by Boston. Anything by Supertramp but especially School or Bloody Well Right. Anything by ELO but especially Mr. Blue Sky or Roll Over Beethoven. Anything older by Rush but especially 2112, Xanadu, Spirit of Radio, Red Barchetta, YYZ or La Villa Strangiato. Thanks. Always look forward to your new creations.
