Welcome to my new series Self Care with Jackie Aina. I created this series because I love all things self-care, and as a big advocate of self-care, I'm always curious to see different routines and try something new for myself!
Today, we have Tabitha Brown as our special guest on today's episode! I love Tabitha and it was really amazing getting to learn more about her and her veganism journey.

I ABSOLUTELYYYYYY LOVE THIS!!!! also Jackie: i have the same exact relationship with the kitchen as you! literally just last night i noticed that i never even turn the lights on when i’m in the kitchen and i was only making tea lol it’s just vibes. i don’t like being there! tryna reframe my thinking by recognizing the creations that go down in the kitchen are meant to nourish myself (and others on occasion) so i’ll have more pride when being in that space.

now that I have my home I absolutely love being in the kitchen as a host, but still not for cooking. lol. and honestly, women are allowed to enjoy other things and that’s okay!

I also practice self-care in the kitchen. Cooking is an outlet that helps my mental health tremendously, as well as an indicator when things my symptoms are flaring. I have a slightly ignored blog where I explore that connection! I also love that Jackie is doing this series. Since self-care has exploded into the mainstream, some people conflate self-care with pampering. Typically, self-care is also about bringing yourself into balance, improving peace, and refilling our cups.
This exchange is healing to witness. Thank you Jackie for bringing on such a full soul in Tabitha Brown ❤
