Oh how exciting! It will be beautiful in June and probably not as hot as Florida 😉👍. Have a wonderful time! Let me know where you eat and what you think ☺️
My wife and I visit Lancaster just about every summer and every October.we usually stop in litiz for there Famous chocolate.but there’s so but we’ve haven’t seen. It really is a beautiful town. We also eat at the sandwich place next to Wilbertz. I tried the sweet potato soup.
Well done Elle. I’m currently in NC, but I lived in Lititz, and loved it, for nearly 25 years. It truly is as charming and welcoming as you speak of. Thank you! 😊
Thank you for the comment 😊. It is a beautiful place and how cool that u used to live there! It is nice to “visit” places virtually when we can’t actually be there :)
Hi My friend. Oh I love that town . I have been to the Pretzel factory . That you for a lovely Tour and history. So until next time God Bless you and your family and have a Blessed day and stay safe my dear friend. 🎃💚🍁
Hi Joan!! ☺️👋. The Julius Sturgis pretzel factory is soooo cool! I went for the first time in September and loved it! Such neat history all over this town! And yes it is so beautiful 😻🤩. May God bless you and yours too 🥰🙏☺️
That’s great, Sheri 😉👍☺️. That Inn has been around for a long time. It’s always fun to stay somewhere w such a history. Glad you had a nice stay!! 🥰👏 thanks for commenting.
I just ran across this video. I'm lucky enough to have lived in Lititz for the past 26 years. One interesting note is that Lititz holds the oldest continuous 4th of July Celebration in the country. It's been going for over 200 years. My husband is the current president of the Lititz Springs Park board which oversees the care and running of this private park. We also have one of the largest craft shows on the East coast with over 700 crafters which is held the second Saturday in August.
Wow, Wendy! Thank you for sharing!! You all are blessed to live there!! I did know the 4th of July celebration was special but I didn’t know that!! How amazing! My goal is to be at one of those celebrations ♥️👍 🇺🇸 I LOVE the park!! He and the rest of the board are doing a great job 👏 👏
I was from Ephrata and always loved Lititz. We, too, enjoyed dining at the General Sutter Inn! We still go back to Lititz and surrounding area....from NJ now.🙌
Thanks for the compliment ; ) I usually produce a new video every week - turn those notifications on !!! Shameless plug! I'm excited b/c I got a good amount of new footage from our recent visit : )
Great video ,Lititz will be on our list of must see when we come back. I like using the chocolate factory as a starting point. Thank you for all the work you do on the videos.
I moved to Lititz in 2014 and I've never regretted it. We're surrounded by friendly vibrant people and there's something to do here every weekend (crafts fairs, garage sales, flea markets, festivals) (plus trying to guess whose tour bus is parked at Rock Lititz!!!)
Oh wow, Jodi!! You have quite the life there! It sounds amazing!! Yes I’m sure u NEVER run out of things to do!! I’m happy for u:). And it’s nice to chat with a local so you can give us advice for shopping and food if we need it:) I’m actually in the middle of doing another video about Wilbur Chocolate AND the chocolate walk. Have u done the walk??
@@ElleLiving Yes, my husband is in a wheelchair now but we used to love the Chocolate Walk (and Fire & Ice) Last year I saw people with special containers to hold their chocolate in the heat, it's become so big people actually prepare for it now. Whoever in Lititz plans all these events for the town is very smart! :)
@@JodiMcClure thanks for the inside info! I heard it had gotten quite popular! It’s brilliant! Chocolate all day in Lititz? So smart, like u said! Enjoy your week :)
My wife and I. Come visit litiz all most every time we visit Lancaster in the eaither in the summer or we come ever October for the Famous chocolate.but there’s so much we didn’t see
Thanks Elle. wife and I are big fans of the area. you showed places we were not really familiar with. Thank you for that. Our daughter and her husband seem to hang out mostly downtown as many of their college friends seemed to settle in the downtown area. anyway thank you for the work you put into these vids for us lancophiles. I know I said lanconuts previously but , lacophiles I think is more appropriate. keep the vids coming please. god bless, Jimmy and Laurie C.
Oh my goodness, Jimmy 😂🤪😃 u r a riot!! 😂😂😂. Glad u liked it - I can’t wait to go back!! I can see how the downtown area is attractive for the young. The town is a nice mix of old and new 😊👍 I’m trying hard to get a new video out each week 😎👌
@@geno5169 even being close to Lititz would be nice bc they have so many community events and places to eat and shop and more! Lots going on there :). They have a farmer’s market regularly too
Those wounded Rev soldiers were recovering at the Ephrata Cloister. They dealt solely in herbal/holistic healing and knew enough to not try invasive medical techniques, thus there recovery rates were excellent for the period.
Wow, Keith, that is amazing and thank you for clarifying!! Pretty amazing. I think you should commentate one of my videos someday!! :))) I do need to learn more about the Ephrata Cloister.
I love you videos, BUT, BUT, your narration is challenging to understand: Your volume tapers off at the end of words. You speak too fast. You run your words together. Your volume goes up and down in the middle of words. Your volume goes up and down, in the middle of sentences. Every other technical and aesthetic aspect of your posts, on a scale of 1 to 10 is a 15. As indicated your videos are superior and with a little narration tweaking they will be SUPER-SUPERIOR! Thank You!
Thanks for the great video! Loved all the historical facts you shared while providing a fun tour. Such a charming town!
Thank you! That was one of my earlier videos so it is lacking in some areas BUT Lititz is so amazing that the town makes the video special!!
Just went there with my mother today. Got some tasty, a nice, and some good books. 👍
I’m from Wilmington, Delaware, but moved to Florida in 1990. I had never been to Lititz, and can’t wait to Finally see it this June
