Great idea! I actually already did a video on that but it was only a partial of the place. It is an AMAZING mini golf place! Just the prettiest setting!! I love all the trees and shade and water! If I thought it would work I would live-stream there 😍😍👍👍

@@Carole1207 I relive my time in Lancaster through this footage too 😆😍😂 Fun fact I have not done breakfast at Shady Maple yet and was thinking about doing so this year 👍👍 I enjoy breakfast but I prefer lunch and dinner food when I dine out but it is fun to go out for breakfast and I think a Shady Maple breakfast would be fun for the family too 👏👏

@ there used to be this resort called Willow Valley. We used to go every year. It was the best. I think it was my first experience with a buffet. Some great memories!

@ oh YES!!! We used to go there as a family for special occasions!! We lived in York County and when we would make the trek across the river and go to Willow Valley, I thought as a kid, we hit the motherload! It was the most grand of all buffets! And I LOVED the pond and the swans! All very fancy!! How fun u have same kind of memories ☺️😍

Was thinking about going in winter but the major cold snap we had here last week reminded me of how I really don’t like that kind of cold. Or traveling in it! Dan and I are headed to Orlando beginning of March - just the 2 of us! Celebrating a lot and eating out way around Epcot!!

Well one could debate whether those should be in the top 20 BUT they are worth a mention so thanks 👍☺️ And it does give me an idea about maybe doing a different video for just PA Dutch breakfast foods - I grew up seeing my Dad order creamed chipped beef all my life 😍👍 I liked it more as I got older. I’ve never heard of pepper pot soup nor have I seen it regularly at the popular restaurants of Lancaster but maybe I missed it. Definitely not as popular as chicken corn soup I don’t think 🤔 😊

@ElleLiving pepper pot soup is more old fashioned than what's served at restaurant. Like soft pretzels it's more reginal than strictly Pa Dutch and is more associated with Philadelphia cuisine. It dates back to pre colonial times and was considered along with scrapple as THE representative of Philadelphia food. That being said most Pennsylvania families had their own family recipe of the soup. Both my grandmothers both of Pennsylvania German decent had their own version each slightly different. OnePlus used beef the other veal. It's main flavor is beef tripe and is sometimes made with Ox tail. There is even a legend that has developed about it though in reality it's far older than the legend suggests. It is said that at Valley Forge Washington s troups ran out of food and the chef just put together whatever scraps they could find. Giving the troops enough energy to make the crossing of the Delaware. The Mummers traditionally ate pepper pot to keep themselves warm every New Year's Day. It's a shame that unlike scrapple its knowledge has almost died out. Especially since Campbell's Soup discontinued it's along with other regional soups.

@@coco1963f actually I was shocked to see in September that Dutch Haven was back open!! I asked them and they said it was the same owners. So that’s all I know ;) And I did love the ranch stable decor of Hershey Farm but I just love windows and light so it’s so beautiful to me 🥰🤩

@@ElleLiving ok We heard they were still making the pies but didn't know the store was open. We went to see Daniel in May, Love sight and sound it smells so Heavenly. We did the Theater there where you ate at the BBQ restaurant it was nice. Have you ever been to American Music Theater? Or the Caboose Motel & restaurant? Hope your Husband is doing well. I'm headed to Harrisburg Hospital in Feb for Aortic & Mitral Valve Surgery. Trying to see it as precaution to keep from having a Heart Attack. I'm 61 but feel so much younger at heart lol
