I knew Maurice too. He was as good a Christian as anyone could have wanted to be. He was a great musician & a good friend to mankind. I am glad to call Maurice my friend. I'll See you heaven my good friend "Reese", of 20 plus years......
I will tell you that Maurice Anderson and Bud Carter were the nicest guys on earth. In the Steel World there was no better friends and professionals as those two and they also made one of the best steels to. Maurice was the best at selling you the best guitar and Bud would build you the BEST made steel on this earth. I purchase my first pedal steel from both of these guys in 1975 and boy do I miss them. They always answered the phone for you! We know that God has a wonderful country band up in heaven and those boys are at the top of list!.......rip
Maurice was the nicest man you would ever want to meet. He was a born again Christian and walked the walk. The last time I talked with him I asked ,"Maurice, Will there be steel guitars in Heaven?" He replied, "If there's not there will be something better." Hope we meet again my friend!

Reece and the late Sneaky Pete were responsible for showing the world there was so much more to the pedal steel than the "Nashville sound". Bless 'em!
Rest in Peace, Reece. You'll be missed.
