Thanks to my current patrons and all people that support(ed) me.
Nice to see a video from you again. I also think it's hard to know how much to charge for a commission. I usually do 15€/hour and try to keep it to three hours tops. But that's at my highest level painting because that's the only way I enjoy painting and for me to do a commission i need to find it fun :).
Also i must say you seem to be the kindes person ever. Keep up the good work and spread the hobby love :)
Thanks for the comment buddy! I hope to have 4 more videos ready soon. I also got some more cool projects in the pipeline.
Thanks a lot for saying that, but idk how nice I really am 😅 I get on a lot of people’s nerves 😬
@@bear_brush don't stress it mate it's just nice when they come :)
That is great to hear 🫶
Cool. 🖌
Thanks!
Otherwise I'm not a fan of drybrushing underpainting except for harsh looking objects like wood, rock or armour to achieve an easy beginner friendly NMM look with thinned down speedpaints. I like the colors to pop so I rather go with a zenithal white over the black and then I use a brush with an opaque white to really light up the upper part around the head, shoulders and chest. Have in mind that white over black isnt really white is more on the grey spectrum so adding white with the brush to edge highlight or highlight in general, will make the speedpaint a true one coat solution. Those parts will really pop! My next speedpainting technique is a bit more more complicated with inks and an airbrush. Cold colors for the shadows and warm from above with the final touch of a white zenithal witha touch of yellow. The colors will look like you spent hours on blending and a simple 10-15 mins highlight per miniature will make them look great!
Thank you for sharing that!
@@bear_brush but I never did a comission painting so I know nothing about that :) as I enjoy painting and my journey started 9 months ago, I think I would charge 3 € per mini to my friends.
Great video! You've reminded me I need to get back after my own Gloomhaven minis!
Thanks Dad! 🤣
The only thing I hate about the Speed Paints 1.0 is that some of them will reactivate when varnished by brush. Like the greens for example.
I did not try that. Maybe the solvent in the varnish is quite aggressive? Which one are you using?
@@bear_brush Vallejo Matte.
I varnished my first painted mini with speedpaints 1.0 with the same varnish and I removed the paint... then I bought speedpaint satin varnish and used the same vallejo matt varnish and had no problems :)
If you know how to use speedpaints 1.0 the reactivation is a great feature!
