Tenhle typ lidí ani neví, proč ten název hatujou.. Všichni v zahraničí nás nazývají czechia ve všech možných variantách, jen čecháčci jsou zvyklí na to svoje a nechtějí vidět žádnou změnu.. Přitom je to úplně normální název jako Slovakia, Russia, Austria, Germany, atd..
Typický hlupák který nadává na čecháčky a přitom si nevidí ani na špičku nosu, název "czechia" v zahraničí nikdo nepoužívá. Vždycky když to vuidím v komentářích, tak ten zemanův výmysl propaguje nějaký čech.
psal jsem czechia ve všech možných variantách... Němci používají Tschechien, Poláci - Czechy. Fini - Tšekki, Norové - Tsjekkia... Sám jsem byl v německu a slyšel jsem pouze variantu Tschechien. Spíš vy tvrdíte kraviny, protože jsem ještě neslyšel pádný argument, proč je ten název tak špatný..
LLukik přesně si to vystihl, hnusnějšího názvu snad není. To nás táhne do východní stepi.

But, honestly, I was cheering for France, after all, we (Czechs) already have 12 titles (including golden hattrick).....France has yet to win & they are the hosts...

Již jsem to vysvětlil, ale pro ty méně chápavé (hloupé) to vysvětlím lépe. My, Češi, již máme 12 titulů z MS v hokeji, navíc jsme i vyhráli zlatý hattrick. Co více chtít? K čemu taková nenasytnost vyhrávat furt a furt a furt....Kdežto Francie nemá nic, ani medaili. Navíc jsou to hosté, a kdo ví, jak dlouho jim tato vcelku dobrá forma vydrží.
Napsal jsem pouze svůj názor z pohledu diváka/fanouška a vysvětlil ho. Fandi komu chceš, je to na tobě. A samozřejmě, nic takového jako "posadit se na prdel" jsem nemyslel, jen to prostě přeji Francii ;)
Edit: Bohužel, už je po všem a Francie nemá naději :(
Jan Pokud tak miluješ Francii, tak se tam odstěhuj. Na MS každý fandí svému národnímu týmu. Ty si jako myslíš, že by nám Francouzi kdyby to s těmi tituly bylo obráceně? Pokud ano, tak jsi naivní? Rusové, Kanaďani, Finové, Švédi a další nikdy nebudou fandit proti svým, nehledě na to, kolik již mají titulů. Pokud někdo fandí jinému nároďáku, tak prakticky nikdy proti tomu svému. Tak to prostě je. Rus s Kanaďanem může být kámoš, ale v jakékoliv profesionální soutěži nikdo nezná ani bratra. Tak to hold v dospělém životě chodí...

France did not play their best hockey today. They are better than this. On the other hand, they were lucky as well, as they gave our guys way too many premium chances, and if Sobotka & co. weren't completely snake bitten, the score would have gotten pretty ugly for the French.
Our guys have to work on scoring efficiency. Sobotka will never be a sniper, but he's had no less than four point blank scoring chances and he should convert on some of those. The same thing works for Pastrňák, who scored, but missed other great opportunities, and other guys as well. The scoring efficiency could be the difference maker in the QF and it's starting to be concerning. The chances are there, but it's the goals that counts.
The funny bit, though, is, that the best player of the Czech team was actually Pavel Francouz, whose last name means "Frenchman" in Czech.
I agree. Czech Republic plays well but not at a fantastic level. France plays like an amateur team for almost all the game (except the 1st five minutes and some attacks which result on our 2 goals) and with so much fails in all its plays, and lacks the intensity and combativity they show against Finland or Canada. The result is logic and demonstrates us that there's always a huge gap between the "top 6" level and the rest of the "elite 16", even if we work and progress year by year.
I think the progress France has made in the last decade is nothing short of impressive. In the 1990s and early 2000s, French hockey was a joke, way below the 2nd tier teams like Germany or Switzerland. In last three four years, France has managed to pull quite some upsets, beating Canada and Russia. But more importantly, they play modern fast, aggressive hockey and their matches are super fun to watch (unlike champions of boredom like Germany or Norway).
The point is, the last gap takes an awful lot of effort to close. And without the numbers, it will never really be closed. And by numbers I mean the number of ice rinks, number of high quality coaches and the size of the talent pool. Without the talent pool of >10.000 junior players, you can get lucky with a couple of talents, but you will never have the broad ranks of top 6. It's pretty universal to any sport.

What a disappointed, team france won't make the QF now. Pretty sad considering they are one of the host. But, it's their own fault.
This match was only the last nail in thier coffin. They blew up their chances for quarterfinal in the match against Norway - they allowed too many powerplays for Norway and weren't efficient with scoring. It seems they're gonna end on 10 points - that's not bad for a such team like France.
Jull3 How? I hope Finland will have a chance to lose against USA. It will be great. Can't wait.
