One of the greats but definitely not top five maybe top 10 remember Jim Brown, OJ Simpson, Walter Payton, Earl Campbell, Emmitt Smith, and Barry Sanders, just to name a few who definitely challenged him for top five spot. even Marshall Faulk who had really close running back stats and huge receiving numbers out of the backfield. msw51995 Stats say otherwise there is a marked decline in RB numbers after 30. In life no it’s not past prime but in football as a RB after 30 is when they start to decline. WR get a few more years and QB’s a few after that. Sure there are exceptions but on the whole it’s the nature of the NFL. It’s a brutal sport and a decade of playing it takes its toll. Far different than running track as they don’t get chased by 250+ line backers and slammed into the ground.

I was going to recommend the unbreakable video myself. He came back from a damned ACL tear, lead the league in yardage at over 2000, became the league MVP, and only failed to break the single season record because we had to kick the field goal win to reach the playoffs.
Plus, the guy who does those videos does an amazing job with music that won't get striked... at least at one point. He will definitely be a hall of fame player as he is fairly high on the all time stats and currently holds the yards per game record. Which could have been even higher, but his head coach was sitting him.

Years back he tore pretty much every ligament and tendon in his knee and 4 months after he had his knee reconstructed he was at the Vikings training facility doing 5 and 1/2 foot box jumps. He tore his ACL then got back 4-5 months ahead of schedule and proceeded to rush for over 2,000 yards directly off of a torn ACL. That's absolutely BANANAS.

You could hear the players with their cleats jogging to the field, even the 180-190 lb corners. Then Dickerson comes out at '6 "3 225 lbs, and you couldn't hear his steps because of how light he was on his feet. As a freshman in college, he was the first underclassman to finish as runner up for the Heisman trophy, but was so dominant and so clearly should have won it that he forever changed the perception of the award, and the next several were all won by underclassman. He set the NFL single game rushing record, in his rookie season, against what was at the time the best defense in the league. He rushed for over 2,000 yards (2nd all time) a year after tearing his ACL, which should have been physically impossible. He is currently 8th all time in rushing yards despite multiple injury shortened years (and missing one for for suspension), and yes he is still a starting running back at 34 years old, which is ancient for a running back, and inhuman for one who's had as many injuries as he has. Without the injuries, he would have already shattered the career rushing record.

If you like fast running backs, you might want to check out Eric Dickerson. He played for the Rams and the Colts. He’s the all time rookie rusher, if I remember correctly. With his long legs, he looks like a gazelle running...lol.

How many running backs are tagged to field kickoff returns? Also he put that shoulder down pounded the defense like a fullback.

Derrick Henry (Bruising Back) & Mark Barron (Head hunter) two great Alabama alumni that are just pure entertainment!

That strut that he does when going into the end zone originally was done because it put your feet under you instead of in back of you, so it reduced your chance of getting takled. But today, a lot of players do it to show off.

Weighed 220 lbs and ran a 4.41s 40 yard dash, which illustrates something even most avid football fans don’t understand, the difference between time-speed and football speed. Adrian Peterson’s time-speed was the same as his football speed. He didn’t lose a millisecond when he put on pads and had folks chasing and grabbing him, which is extraordinarily rare.

He reaches top speed so fast cause he stands so far back from the QB when he gets the balls he already going fast... I got 4 AP jerseys 1 is a Sooners!!!

Some RBs score by looking for the best way out, and some just look for the shortest route to the endzone, and think good luck if you wanna get in my way. You know, the guys that step out before getting hit vs the guys that initiate contact for 3 more yards. AP ran away from nothing, and his injuries are just sad. Great player in college and NFL.

Tore his ACL & MCL. Returned the next season ( short rehab) and was 8 yards shy of the single season NFL rushing record. Unbreakable is deffinatly one to review.

DUDE unbreakable is amazing, it’s about his injury which should have been CAREER threatening and he bounced back and had, IMO, the greatest season ever for a RB ( because everyone knew it was going to him every play and that’s it )

You should react to the No Fly Zone (Aqib Talib, Christ Harris Jr, and Bradley Roby. With TJ ward and Darian Stewart in safety position)
    And/Or
Legion of Boom ( Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, Brandon Browner, and Bryan Maxwell)
Though me being a broncos fan would much rather prefer the top one

Love seeing new fans of football see AP All Day Peterson. Players at that time reinvented American football. Vick, Tomlinson, Urlicher and others changed running/stopping the run in the 2000s. No one likes being literally embarrassed and schemes changed. I mention middle linebackers bc they adapted the best. Elite interior linebackers stopped these plays. Why it's still important to stop the run!

My good friend played free safety in high school. Unfortunately he met AP in the play-offs. He still refers to it as " the worst day of my life".
