Premise:
Barbie plays the role of Elina, a flower fairy who lives in Fairytopia with her puffball, Bibble. Unlike all other fairies, Elina does not have wings, for which she gets frequently ridiculed. Elina and her friend, Dandelion, learn that one of Fairytopia's guardians, Topaz, has supposedly been kidnapped. Elina returns to her flower home, Peony, in disbelief.

Fun fact: This movie actually got turned into a stage musical during the time of its release. There’s not much footage of it unfortunately but you can find pictures of the costumes and some of the puppets they made for the creatures online. It’s called Barbie Live! In Fairytopia

@@LisaFevral I don’t know the exact reason but I think it did have a short run and the play was limited to 80 cities. Since it was targeted at kids and only for a short time I think that Mattel wasn’t incentivized to properly preserve the footage and music. Luckily though a lot of Barbie fans did do the research and found footage from the show so you can find more info about it in the Barbie wiki and from Barbie UA-camrs (which is how I learned about it).

@@LisaFevral It’s more like Walrus and dolphins from what I read 😭 merpeople are not as they are depicted in media basically the ones that look like that are sirens and sirens don’t procreate. Actual merpeople have to the top half human and the bottom half dolphin (or a different sea mammal ) and that’s how they have sex 💀 There are other speculations that other kinds that do appear to be half fish tho and can appear to be human on land but the have to split their tail apart each time or go through a painful shedding process if I remember correctly. There is also the last theory that they just lay eggs but I saw that one more just now upon google search to refresh my memory and I didn’t see that one the first time I went down the rabbit hole years ago. But yes I’m glad me randomly hyper focusing on this topic became relevant somehow 🤣🤣
