- Redwood is launching the most comprehensive electric vehicle battery recycling program, beginning in California, to establish efficient, safe and effective recovery pathways for end-of-life hybrid and electric vehicle battery packs. Ford Motor Company and Volvo Cars are the first automakers to directly support the program, but we will accept all lithium-ion (Li-ion) and nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries in the state and welcome other automakers to join us in this effort!

OK, a promotional video. Now do a more detailed video on how this process works, how much material you can actually recover, how good this recovered material performs in a "new" battery vs virgin material, etc. I hope this solves the battery disposal problem, but until we know more, I'll cautiously wait to see.
They can recover 95% - 98% of material and it is at least as good as what is mined.
JB already answered all these questions in other interviews.
They're recycling the raw materials in the batteries, not refurbishing them. Hope that clears things up for you.

I wonder if some of the materials recycled out of these batteries could not only be used in new battery production, but other industrial applications? The world will certainly be battery powered in the future, but as more and more batteries go towards Lithium Iron Phosphate, the Nickle and Cobalt materials may end up exceeded demand, and could be repurposed into other industrial applications. At least that's my thoughts.

No budget for a proper cameraman and video director, requiring rehersals until it is not seen that all sentences are read from a side screen? This looks very cheap and unprofessional, like a film club project in Grade 10, at a secondary school.
