Is it? That’s lovely! Does the brother of a parent have some greater significance? Is it a GodFather kind of a thing? I LOVE the etymology of cultural idioms.
@@OtterMunchy Uncle/Aunty in India frequently means just someone roughly your parents' age that you respect. Doesn't necessarily require blood relation. Not too dissimilar from sir/madam, but can be more familiar.

I wouldn’t help a scammer. But this guy wasn’t a scammer, he was a lost soul looking for help, guy said he’d been at it for three days with no results and no calls sent. He wanted out and took it the second he could. Even if your story wasn’t real it connected with this guy and helped him to see that the people he was calling were in bad places and having a bad time and he realized he was essentially calling himself.

I work for Chicago Police. We actually wear wrist bands that say “It’s Ok Not To Be Okay” and it comes with a card for resources to reach out and get help if necessary. I once had a young man come in to our Headquarters where I work for a report.I pulled up his report and it was about how he tried to commit suicide. I took my wrist band off and handed it to him and I said read what it says. He did. I told him to keep it and remember me. I said I am a 35+ years survivor. I said if he ever gets that feeling again reach out to me or someone for help. The young man took my hand and cried and said thank you. He’s doing fine today 🙂

Tears are running down my face too. My heart really needed this right this moment. India must just be so hard to find legit jobs for certain people that are at risk for falling prey to scam center bosses...they can tell when people are desperate for work and are easy to trick into doing this. they aren't always truthful to what the job really is.
Please don't take this as disrespect, but this is the issue with society lately in my opinion. Your emotions kick in before your skepticism. If this guy is honestly moral and grieving it should take longer to make that judgment, but its crying so early thats frustrating to hear since you say it happened in less than 2 minutes. Let me tell you how my brain put this together up until maybe half way in..... this guy may easily have watched Perogi and knew it was possible he would eventually get called working as a scammer and recognized him this call and knew he was a good dude, perfect way to change your life right?... now you can watch this further and accumulate a little more knowledge of the person and maybe base an opinion at that point, but even then you should still be skeptical. But 2 minutes in is just too quick for emotions to supercede your logic. I suspect the majority of "regret" is triggered from this same thing. Again, no disrespect. I'm just another dude on a toilet.
@@BigJewDaddyAndy I understand the skepticism. This edited highlights video really doesn't tell the whole story of the conversations between Pierogi and Karan that went on for almost a year both on and off-screen. Believe me, if you heard the whole story it would literally break your heart.

this poor guy. He just came clean, He empathised with your character and it broke him. This was an amazing story.
I'm proud of him, he risked his well being to stop scamming, even if he is in a tough spot financially. Very wholesome content.

"It's okay not to be okay." This made me cry. I lost my son to a serious illness a few years ago and still am not always okay, but as time goes by, people expect me to just move on. I usually can put one foot in front of the other for the sake of my other kids, but some days the pain is too much to bear, and then I feel guilty for falling apart again and again. I feel like that sentence gives me permission to sometimes just let myself let my guard down and not always be okay. Thank you for that. I really appreciate it.
If I could I would hug you...your comment brought me to tears....my son just turned 15 last month and he is in jail awaiting transport to the juvenile facility for 7 years. My daughter was 2 when she was taken out of the country...I found her after 15 years. I don't know the pain you are going through but I relate to the struggle of forcing myself to keep going every day and feeling guilty when I just break down. I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers. ❤🙏😭
@@amymccammon9078 I am so sorry to hear that. You are going through so much!
@@lisaabroad1192 the amazing strength I see in people like you in the comments are therapeutic...thank you for your kind words
Even me😭😭
It’s amazing how many people die and they decide to post it (completely unrelated) onto UA-cam comments. Not saying that YOU are lying, but the amount of likes (not to mention 1 after another)…
Would you guys like to purchase gift cards as well to help as well? I mean 😭
An 86 year old Grandma here, and I'm weepnig at this story, and the truth that goodness still exists in this world. I love your analogy of drops of dirt in the ocean not contaminating the whole ocean. You found one good one. I thank God for ethical, moral, God centered people like you. May He bless you richly!!!
Long live grandma 😍💕
God doesnt exist
im not religious but i definitely agree
I miss both my parents. My mom passed before her birthday. She woukd have been 86 at the time.
God bless you Grandma. 🙏
86 and your able to use a phone/laptop…wow….
Love you Scammer Payback for having a chat with him and helping this guy ❤❤❤
msg to karan: we don't know you brother, we are proud of you. You have set a right example as an indian. Love from kolkata.
You got to him before he developed the hard shell that scammers develop to shield themselves from their actions. Great work dude.
Damn... that makes sense
Basically like getting brainwashed...
This is my favorite video on UA-cam by a landslide. I appreciate you and I hope you keep us updated on his situation man. Well done.

Thanks man

I agree with all of you. This was the best.
Every scammer has a heart, it just depends how much malice has twisted it. You saved this soul before it was too late.
Words cannot express the amount of appreciation I have for people like you, Pierogi. Thank you so much for what you do. May God bless you and Karan.

"Be the reason someone believes in the goodness of people." Pierogi, thank you for showing us there is still goodness in people. Blessings to you and Karan and his wife.
I'm very late to this party, but I just found your channel recently. This episode left me a blubbering mess. Hats off to you, Pierogi, for helping this young man. Hats off to him as well for wanting to get out of his situation and honoring his parents. Keep up your good work.
You can tell he is sincere when he only asks for a reference to get honest work. Praying God's richest blessings on Karan and his wife. I am so proud of him taking a stand for good in spite of his fears. Your/our support of him is right.
Still working through all your videos, this one stopped me in my tracks.. You are an amazing human being.. an inspiration that we need in these difficult times .. Bless Kurun.. I wish him the very best for him... and there's no doubt his family will be looking down with immense pride.

I was crying while watching this and my mom laughed at me so hard. So, I let her watch this and she ended up crying too. Loved this video! This is Humanity at its finest!
I cried too !
You are a pure soul. 😊
Same here
I know this video is a couple years old, but my heart is so full watching this. I’m so glad that you were able to be the listening ear that he needed at that moment. He knew what he had gotten into was wrong and you just gave him the confidence boost to step away from what he was doing. I wish nothing but the best for him and his wife.
He's a very courageous young man. Hopefully the thugs won't go after him. God bless you Pierogi.

Too often we see Pierogi expose, mock, and shut down INHUMANITY. And we enjoy it. It is truly refreshing and humbling to see the truly HUMAN kindness in this interaction. I enjoyed it even more.
Pierogi, you and the others of your noble anti scammer clan are doing beautiful work for humankind. Thank you Sir, for your tireless efforts, and thank you for redeeming souls like these!

Yo
At least you know the money will go to changing this life for others
Crying literal tears. Good people get caught in bad situations all the time, and they tend to fall through the cracks and get lumped in with the rest. But thank God that Pierogi and Karan were in the right place at the right time to connect with each other and for this young man's life to change. God bless!
The poor man, you can tell he's in a really dark time. You can hear the sadness in his voice. I'm so glad he spoke up, it was so brave and it seems as if scamming was his only option, I'm so glad you are helping him!
I cried for Karan. It makes me so happy to see him doing what he knows is right, and I really really hope he's doing okay.
I'm Indian and I can say that this man is telling the truth. I feel bad for him too. I'm glad you helped him understand certain things. Btw I wanna thank you for your work for helping our country be better.
Hats off to both of you. Great models for us to learn from. Pierogi, you warmed my heart so much. Your $500 and 1 year rent generated soooo much warmth and energy in so many of your followers’ hearts. This is the real meaning of charity and not those phony big nonprofit organizations. Karan is a very courageous proud man, making a very difficult decision on his most vulnerable time. Update please. Wow. Life is beautiful.
YOU ARE A REAL ANGEL, the angels in the Bible are righteous and kind, but they are also fearless warriors. I can't believe I just came across this channel in 2023, I've been watching your videos in the past few months, most of them made me laugh and made me feel good when you and your team ended up exposing them and reporting them. I was expecting some laughs when I clicked on this one, then I burst into tears when I saw how you helped him pay off his debt and he showed you the stuff he bought for the house, that kind of genuineness and sincereness between you and him is priceless, it's hard to trust someone you've never met nowadays, but I'm so glad you did trust this guy, I really hope he's doing well with his family, and you as well, please take care, and continue helping innocent people take down the filthy scumbags hiding in the dark. God bless y'all 🙏❤️.

These words broke me. "Sometimes it's ok to not be OK. God wanted you to be here"
