i feel bad about the waiter. he’s just concerned and frustrated about the service and the owner just talked down to him. Pinto is useless as hell. 😕
Love it how the owner says he’s the boss yet has absolutely no authority over his staff. Better at cleaning toilets than running his restaurant clearly!

Cafe 36 closed in April of 2009. The Gilmers blamed the weak economy and Chef Ramsay's interference, however, reviews still confirmed the truth behind the claims of poor food and service. Whether a victim of a poor economy or of Chef Ramsay's tough love, Cafe 36 is now nothing but an abandoned, forsaken dream.
That old chestnut makes you wonder why they asked him to come in the first place.

Some years ago I used to sit in front of the TV, spread some honey on the crepes that my mum made me before going to work and watch Kitchen Nightmares. They were good and careless days and the world was normal. Take me back there.

At the end of the show, we are told that Pinto was fired? (Not sure why the show said he left) and Barney was offered the Head Chef job but he left to finish his culinary degree. He was replaced by Jorge Flores and Pinto was said to be working as a chef for a family in the area.
Cafe 36 aired on January 15 2009, the episode was filmed in February 2008. Cafe 36 closed on 18 April 2009, blaming the economy and Gordon's changes to the restaurant.

I don't like Ramsay because of his past. I hope this is the future.
For once there were no bizarre discoveries. The problem was clear. The chef needed to stand up to excellence rather than ease. This may be the best show i have seen where Ramsay tries to do good. he doesn't go ballistic for stats. He doesn't act like an ass. He finds the problem, assesses it, and addresses it.
