E Davis absolutely mate. Mine is just in for a service. I don’t like to ride it really. Everything is original in like new condition. I’d be devastated if I ever damaged it. And yes. The brakes are awful lol
Yeah I have a couple of shock pumps and I believe I was at the upper end of pressure threshold for that particular shock. I just went with a cheap Amazon air shock that had a lock out feature and it works for me. Honestly I only ride it to the mail box and show off these days now as I have other bikes to soak up the bumps on the trails. I have been looking at the Cannondale Jekyl with lefty fork, that might be a fun sort of retro bike to mess around with also.
Hi. I have the same bike, beautiful thing. I would like to bring it to catalog state. My saddle is not original ... Could you please take a picture of your saddle and send it to me by post or messneger?
What shock did you end up using? I’ve had the same bike for like 10 years in my garage. My uncle gave it to me. I want to upgrade the brakes and probably suspension. But the recall was never done since the bike was in Argentina. So I contacted connandale today to see if they would still do the recall. Fingers crossed.
I went with a cheap shock off of Amazon, but it has served me well. I don't ride it much after I found out how iconic the bike is. It really needs brakes. I don't think my bike was fixed either and I actually took it down some steep switch backs and flew over the handlebars, the bike was fine.
@@sethenosh I agree on value. I did a 12 hour road trip to purchase this same bike for $500 in excellent condition. Good to hear what you value it at. I believe it will appreciate in value as well!
@@irvineshelman6071 12 hrs? Totally worth it lol, fantastic price. I was basing value on what I see on eBay, and doing a multiple city search on Craigslist. Collector's often buy things they could not afford in their youth, I believe this is one of those items .

So cool to see, i had the same bike but with Spin wheel with three thick spokes in carbon fiber and yellow panaracer smoke dart tyre :)
That would be awesome, it was a futuristic design for sure. I still enjoy riding it from time to time.

gorgeous bike, the nice thing about air suspension is you can add or remove air for weight and ride and travel, i would just try adding air

Você ainda tem a bike ? É resistente esse quadro?
sí, todavía tengo la bicicleta, es increíblemente cómoda. Nunca saltaría de la bicicleta, pero me estrellé y no pasó nada. peso 230 libras

You are looking for a CODA expert CV3 saddle. It actually says cv3 on the underside.

@@sethenosh If everything is for sale at the right price what would you want for this bike?
@@irvineshelman6071 I believe it is worth around the $2000.00 mark. I think it will only appreciate in value.

It doesn’t look like that bike has been through the recall

What year is that?
1999. Hard to believe they were asking around $3000 for it back then.
Cannondale ?😂 👌
