Sometimes the best advice when confronted with a problem is to remain calm and think about all possible fixes you can do. The more experience you get with fixing stuff, the more choices you can come up with. Be creative. Even with little experience, you can come up with at least three possibilities. Typically choose the one that will have the longest lasting fix. Remember the quickest fix is not usually the best.

@@twinwankel Well said. Wen I'm learning new things, especially when it comes to hands on stuff, when you get stuck, frustrated or lost, it is always best to take a step or two back look at the project from a wider view, take a few deep breaths and sometimes reorganize your thoughts and process.
I lost my dad fairly young too, fortunately, he was able to instill good work ethic but from masonry, to roofing, to drywall, I am all self taught and I learned it all through that process.
Also, I know this is a saying that is fairly common now, but when I was young, the only place I ever heard it was from my father and it has always stuck with me and is always true, "work smarter, not harder"

All is easy until the screw head is too corroded to turn or the stem is frozen into position. To head this off, check both about once a year. Replace the screw before it gets too bad. Opening and closing the valve periodically will reduce the chance of it freezing up.

If that's a Sensus Accustream water meter (which I'm fairly certain it is) they have a handy trick. If you open the cover/lid then close it and open it again while the water is running, it will give you a live gallons per minute reading.

Well, here in the video they just show how to change the sealing gasket, while it is already ready-made purchased in the store. If only they cut it out. I had a case, a crane leaked on an irrigation pipe, we don't have such gaskets in the store, I made it myself from an unusable chamber for trucks.

I move way too much and see a lot of leaky faucets. Now when I see one, I convert the faucet to a quarter-turn ball valve faucet. And then I'll put a quarter turn plastic ball valve hose end adapter on the brass ball valve. Why? Because at small openings (like a trickle), brass can quickly erode from the high pressure low flow and wear out. Plastic does not erode like that.

The best outdoor valves at the hardware store are now “ball” valves and do not require any rubber washers, packing, or maintenance…. So unfortunately I think your comment is misleading. Also, why not just show replacing the packing to make this video complete? Many other videos of this type also note or demonstrate a freeze proof type valve which is a little different. Last… I’ve never seen an example of where a threaded valve is soldered on to a pipe… This does not seem to be a great idea… and of course she would never recommend that anybody use this type of valve with that type of pipe… so I am surprised it was not noted.
