Les Chemins de l’Amour
Harriet Krijgh, cello
Magda Amara, piano

This album is incredibly dear to me. The sixteen songs that I selected could be considered as a diary, my diary. Of all my recordings this album probably comes closest to the person that I am. My music is the purest filter I possess. It fills me with gratitude. Music has the power to open doors to better times and worlds, as Schubert's ‘An die Musik’ promises. I honestly hope that this album conveys all these different emotions. And most importantly, that it touches.”

I would like to see her play something by Dvorák! 😍
Feeling sorrowful but luscious sound!
So sublime and perfect
performance enough to be recorded and released!!
My top requests would be "Salut d'Amour" by Elgar and "Songs my Mother Taught Me" by Dvorák
@@COOL_GEEK_ How luscious sounds of your request songs!!!
No alcanza un like, para agradecer tanta belleza!!!Intérpretes maravillosas 💝🙌💝🙌
When I first heard this performance as part of the Europe@Home dedicated to the Netherlands, I said "Poulenc's wartime love song, les chemins de l'amour, was gorgeous and unique". Perhaps the roads of love of the title refers to the many ways that love can develop; the music covers the range from sweet and gentle at the start, it becomes more agitated and excited at 1:05, but then becomes more somber at 1:45, evoking longing. A lovely piece and a lovely performance.
A fragrant scent balm for my soul! 💖❣️🙏🌹
Excellent performance! Warmly and sincerely...
Beautiful! Love Poulenc ..
This is a lovely piece, beautifully played. Thank you!
MARAVILLOSO, SENSIBILIDAD Y CALIDAD, MUY ROMANTICO. ESO ES MUSICA

Wonderful piece and wonderful performers. I'm sure a variation of the Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" first movement, would sound great played by theme. Congratulations, and thank you for share with us! 😃👌👌
You're very welcome!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This lovely performance looks for all the world like their performance of this piece on Daniel Hope's glorious Europe@Home. Is it the same performance? If so, any chance we'll see more clips from that wonderful series?
cool
Lovely as this is I still prefer it sung. (Well, obviously!). Written 1939 for Anouilh's play, Leocadia, to a text by the playwright, it's a beautiful poem in itself. Worth checking out. Try the matchless Yvonne Printemps version.
Hello, you play very beautiful. May I ask where you buy the sheet music?
Quel certo inconfondibile non so che di tradizionalmente parigino
Beautiful playing. It touched my soul.
..but is that Beethoven in an EU mask? 😂
