Its a FAST truck man. No two ways about it. At 270bhp and easily upgradeable with tune and mods. A literal 30 hp bump snd you are as fast as if not faster than most of the porsche cayennes on the road. (not really much when were talking about a cast iron v8 block, the most durable engine toyota has ever made hands down). Give it a good 60+ extra ponies, and the thing will be taking down hemi Cherokees for breakfast. Ive seen modded 4runners break into the low to mid 6’s which is just insane. It makes sense tho. Its literally the 2nd fastest stock vehichle in its class, second only to the hemi Cherokee with a 0-60 of 6.8 stock. The 4runner doesnt have the best top speed (v8 at least) but you dont really need to hit 200 mph on the freeway, flying all the way up past the speed limit while everyone around them is still trying to figure out what happened is more than quick enough for your average driver. Ive done alot of digs and pulls in this stock runner. V8 stangs, v6s, many of blazers snd suburbans, lexus sedans and sport coupes. Only person who has gotten me so far was a urus out on the i5 near la. Urus is fuckin fast tho, like 3 sec 0-60 fast lmao.
Yep, its super normal with this generstion. My 05 limited v8 has the same problem. My 07 rwd sr5 sport did too. Eventually i just gave up trying to find a pair of sensors that actually functions properly and just let the light live in my dash rent free.
