In today's video I'll be showing you how to install the Evenflo Everykid 4-in-1 Car Seat into your car. I'll show you how to do it in both front facing mode and rear facing. I will also go over how to install it with the anchors and then the seat belt of your car. I also throw in some lame jokes.

Never thought I’d punch a car seat but the tightening on this model is unbelievably difficult… paired with Phoenix heat… recipe for rage. Incredibly frustrating when it seems like it should be such an easy install
We are having the same problem it makes no sense. We have two other car seats and they are so easy to tighten, this thing is trash
I absolutely concur. It is THE WORST, MOST MISERABLE seat ever. And it's a severe safety risk because of not being able to tighten or loosen ANY of the belt adjustments, especially with a child in the seat. Pure and absolute trash. They should all he recalled and parents reimbursed.

I'm having problems installing rear facing with the anchors, i feel like no matter how tight i get it, the seat can be easily lifted up from the front
I am having the same problem as we speak, did you end up finding a way for fix that? Belts and everything are tight as I can but seat still feels loose
I too am having this. First time installation was perfect. Had to put it in my truck 1 time and back in the family car and now my son is laying back after 1 turn after adjusting it each time. My gf ends up sitting in the back to help. Also I have used both the straps and seat belt and nothing

Mines doing this too and I’ve had it for a year and even the fire station said it was fine… but I don’t trust it.

Is the back piece where the headrest is suppose to be wobbly once installed?? Mine was so wobbly that i felt scared having my daughter in it.

Hi. I'm trying to install this carseat, but it seems too loose when I move it from the top. I had my brother help me push down on it while I used both hands to tighten the anchors. (Rear facing)
This! I got the anchors as tight as I can and it wiggles so much
@el_cuh8758 There was nothing I could do. My daughter's now 14 months, lol . My brother also has a similar carseat, and it does the same. Unless something runs through the top of the carseat, I don't see it getting any better. Let me know if you end up fixing this issue or find a better carseat. I would recommend the 360 one, it gets harder to put them in as they grow up.

Someone said they move the front passenger seat against the headrest to secure it more in that way 🤷

Do not buy this car seat. It’s hard to tighten straps , the car seat will be loose . Rear facing you have to use your front seat to keep the head part stable or else it will recline too far and be loose
I experience that too. When rear facing, it's extremely difficult to loosen and tighten the straps as there no space between the strap and the seat.
I had the same issue. It was frustrating because when rear facing the entire carseat kept tilting with the baby in it. Didnt have any issues forward facing.
@@Gigi.973did you fix it ? It was good at first then my baby got heavier and the top part of the seat goes waaay too back and I can’t even tighten it anymore it moves too much
Yeah this car seat is absolute trash. I have to pull as hard as I can to get the shoulder straps to tighten. These guys shouldn’t be allowed to sell something this horribly designed.
You guys should call the manufacturer, I had the same problem and they said the car seat was not compatible with the car... I didn't know that was even possible. I would not use this car seat unless you know it's safe
I'd like to see a tutorial with a close up of how to move the belt to the rear facing belt path, and then to the front facing belt path. I feel like this part of the video was a bit vague. Thank you!

Do NOT buy this car seat...it's cheap trash and this company in the process of being sued do the cutting corners which is sacrificing safety of other car seat.
If you ever get into a car accident with this car seat your baby is not protected

The car seat is still very loose …. I tightened it as hard as I can

I’m sorry I know this is old but girl you don’t use both seatbelt and lower anchors it’s either or 😮tf this is so dangerous it can snap the car seat and make it dangerous

Pls can I ask a question about the forward facing mode can the seat belts on the carseat be adjusted. It is too tight for my daughter. The belt is too short. Or does it mean I should change her to booster seat position thanks?
Do you use both the seat belt and the anchor traps or use one or the other
If your vehicle has the anchors, use the anchor straps. If not, you will have to use the seat belt method.
For the FF seatbelt installation, you seem to have forgotten to mention that the slack needs to be removed from the lap portion of the belt before bringing the shoulder portion into the lockoff. This is incredibly important.
Okay so the instructions it comes with doesn't make any of this clear. There are no carseat techs around here. Fire station, police station ,and hospital will not help for liability reasons. The problem I found is the seat would go completely down in the seat after we would put my son in or out. We were not sure why. The manual said to place a towel under the seat if needed extra support but to me that just doesn't seem safe. We ended up using an infant seat. Now that he's bigger we have to switch back. Thanks for this video!

@@sweetiesembly9883 I actually just tied to install it and I think the car seat may be defective. I followed the directions on this video and the back of the carseat just kept falling deeper into the seat (if that makes sense). The back of the seat also doesn't stay put like when you check if it moves more than it's supposed to 😩. I think we might switch to the Graco Extend 2 Fit 3-1. It's what my daughter has and I've never had problems with it. The Evenflo was bought as a Christmas gift to my son. I feel bad for not using it but my son's safety comes first.

Manual wasn;t clear enough for me on locking and adjusting my car's 3-point seatbelt through the baby car seat. Thanks for this video!
Excellent explanations, but it's still the most miserable hateful carseat I have ever used. It's even worse rear facing. Almost impossible to feed the lap belt through the passage in the vehicle. The latch system belt can neither be tightened nor loosened without three hands and 15 minutes of serious cursing. You will use the f bomb, so cover the little one's ears. Once the latch system is tightened, you can't release it enough to unlatch it. God help you if you had any plans to use one seat in multiple vehicles. I would NEVER EVER buy another one of these.
Wow if I had known it was this complicated I would've never bought it. Even flo is not a good brand. Always issues with everything.
So if you’re using the anchors, you’re not supposed to use the seatbelt? But that makes the seat looser

Help! I have this car seat installed rear facing with the seat belt, and I have to use so much strength to tighten and loosen the harness! I have reinstalled it 3 times, checked to make sure the strap was not pinched, and is flat but it is still horribly difficult to tighten and loosen!!!!! Does anyone have suggestions? 😫😫😫😫

For rear facing do you have to use the recline?? My 3 year old is still rear facing but with the lowest recline it still seems like she’s leaning back to far but I haven’t been able to find anything saying if you have to use it or not! thank you!
Hello, thank you for your question. The recline feature is needed in order to align the level line of the car seat parallel to the ground. So if the level line is not parallel with the ground without the recline then you would have to recline the chair until the level line is horizontal with the ground.
Same my daughter hates it to be leaning all the way.
Once your child is 40lbs or 40in they should be forward facing. Check your manual to confirm.

Do you mean the seat belt of the car? Or the harness of the car seat?
DO NOT put your body weight into a carseat. Even to tighten it. There is a weight limit for a reason and you could render it unusable. You also ONLY use your NON dominant hand to check for movement at the belt path.

I can't loosen The straps that you click into the seat that you sat the car seat on, they seem to be locked and I don't know how to unlock it
This seat has a built-in lockoff, do not lock the car’s seatbelt.
5:17-7:28 Did you try wiggling it from side to side? The first way seemed more secure
Mine does not seem very tight when it is rear facing
The strap doesn't stay tight. There is no mechanism to tighten the strap.

My son is two and we just transitioned to forward facing mode - I cannot figure out why his head slumps forward when he falls asleep. I have it in the upright position - and I also have the extra cushions taken out that were used in rear facing. I can’t figure out what to do to support his poor little head

@@sassytaphy3117 I don’t know if this is helpful but I had to get a new seat. I couldn’t stand this seat. It was so hard to transfer from car to car because I could never get it tight enough and my little guy looks very uncomfortable in it.
I ended up getting the britax click tight seat and I LOVE IT! it does not sit in rear facing tho but it’s totally worth it if you want a seat that’s easy to move , you can tighten super easy and my little boy (almost 3) looks way more comfy in it

Facing issues with mine..there is too much recline in rear facing...straps are too short..cant fit my child with normal jacket on..

@@babysaphire87 no for the recline..it is terrible..the manual says the seat has 3 positions but in reality it has only 2. One not reclined and other fully reclined....I put the seat in forward facing with a little angle without the recline
yes for straps.. I did the following to increase the length
1. I took off the upper seat covering and ensured the straps are not stuck in grooves/ hookes or corners ...pull the straps all the way to make sure ..every centimeter is important lol...mine was stuck in one of the corners of lower part of seat
2. I found out that the straps only extend when i pull them from the sholder side....if you pull them from the leg sides they will not extend

So they don't use the seat belt with the seat clips in rear facing together?
if by seat clips you mean the anchors, then no. Because you'd only use the seatbelt when your car doesn't come with anchor hooks.
Just wondering why you wouldn’t use both the anchors and the seat belt?

omg these comments are ridiculous your video was amazing and i didn’t have any issues with strapping that seat in tightly! lol no one has patience now and days 🫣, it’s SUPPOSED to be hard to pull or loosen for the safety of your baby! 🤭 so yes i did tug until it was tightly strapped in! 10/10 video thank you!
EVENFLO was actually sued becasue of this seat severly and permantly injuring a toddler. worthless
