But that when one finally succumbs, the other one will stay fighting until true peace is achieved all for the sake of their brotherhood. It took Zero, Wily's masterpiece to realize Light's dream of true equality between robots and humans as well as finding the way to redeem Wily.
Yes especially at the ending… I can see wily still has good in him.
It's interesting too how that line also ties so well to Mega Man X due to how X and Zero in their own ways help to make Dr. Light's dream a reality, and how even if their creators were enemies and Dr. Wily had built Zero as his masterpiece to finally rule the world, Zero would become a great hero in his own way, just as Dr. Light hoped X would be a guide to humanity's future due to his not being tied to the 3 Laws of Robotics.
It's nice seeing a Young Doctah Wahwee with a full hair.

1. If you truly want to get technical about it, "L" and "R" are interchangeable between Japanese to English translations. Plus, Dr. Light was named after Thomas Edison, the inventor of the light bulb, so that name makes just as much sense as "Dr. Right", if not more.
2. There are localized names that I despise as well, but I don't reply to every comment that uses them just to complain about it. If anything, you're going to end up doing the exact opposite of what you intended, because I could guarantee you that someone will end up using the American names purely out of spite, even if they do prefer the Japanese ones.

He had good intention back at university, but Light just casted him out, instead of thinking to merge their projects, and that caused him going Evil (not to mention... the Maverick apocalypse of the Mega Man X, Zero and ZX serieses...). Light does blame himself for it of course, but still...
Well to be fair, most of the things Dr. Light and Dr. Wily built was quite too dangerous for robots.

But in that game, Ra Moon betrayed Dr. Wily. Since Ra Moon's goal was to keep using the humans to kill each Other to create an army and rule the planet.
Ah well, even if most of Wily's research went into the trash, it all ended up with him creating the biggest hero the franchise ever saw.

Megaman is only the alias he uses in english, and his sister calls him rock in the japanese script, not rock man, and as such is using his real name, not his rock man alias in Japanese.

Also, yeah, Blues and Forte definitely should've been in this game. Apparently they didn't put them in because they didn't want new fans to have trouble getting a grip of the story, but, I mean, come on, do they think we're stupid? They didn't have to go in-depth with the characters, they could just say that Blues is Rock's older brother who lives on his own and that Forte is a robot built to rival Rock. All they needed to say.
And when are we ever going to see Dr. Cossack again? Apparently, he created Tundra Man, but that's not the same as him making a full appearance.
They didn't put protoman or bass in the game as to not confuse newcomers
Makes sense why all enemy bosses in megaman games were named like heros bombman, gyroman, blockman, etc. It was Lights ambition to create robot heros. Also kindda explains why no maverick elites are not named like heros in the X saga,light was long dead.

Mega Man is just a title the series gave to him, his name isn't Mega nor Mega Man, it's Rock, just as X from the MMX series, he isn't called Mega Man, he's called X...

So megaman is like the light hearted version, while megaman x is like the most serious version. In megaman, all the robot masters given a second chance, but in megaman x the mavericks don't.
Well X is still pacifistic but will try to attack them if necessary. The Maverick Hunters are just brutal in that regard. Reploids honestly can never be trusted with their free will, I mean ever remember a reploid who literally went Maverick on their own free will?
Wait so if the Robot University decided to back Light in his research to create robots with emotions, then why did Light fear that the world wasn't ready for X and had him sealed away?
Because the script of the saga is a mess.
Because normal robots like Mega are still restrained by the Asimov rules of robotics. X and the Reploids aren't. X is also way more powerful and if he decided to kill humans no one could stop him.
I feel bad for Wily. He tried to do good things for people & robots, but thanks to what happened with him & Light's friendship, he started to do it the opposite way...

@@darkmind9637 its a new Mega Man game for everyone. For something that fans been dreading for almost a decade i cant see it as a financial failure since it critically is already well-recieved.

Maybe Legacy Collection like rereleases of the ZX, Legends, Zero n whatnot later down the pipeline to see if another entry is worth the hassle. Cause if the success of the Classic Collections can provoke Mega Man 11 to happen, seeing the X Collections doing fairly alright (2nd not as much as the first one) i can already see X9 in the works being more in cline with the first 4 games.
Critical acclaim doesn't always mean sales (just like good sales don't mean necessarely that a game had good reviews). Between the various consoles, the Legacy Collection of the classice series sold around 1 million, and that was what conviced Capcom to do the new game. But if the game itself won't sell that well, then Capcom won't do another game for quite a long time. When it comes to videogames, sales count.

Yeah he was probably being realistic he knows humanity and he knows making a new race is a bad idea well at least with how Dr light was doing it I feel like you can either make a new species or you can make a tool anything in between would be slavery and disasters.

This game could bridge the gap between Mega Man Classic and Mega Man X. Keiji Inafune debunked the Cataclysm Theory where Zero kills Mega Man now that Inafune left Capcom and made that game that is crying like an Anime fan on Prom Night Kazuhiro Tsuchiya can take that Theory and wrap up the Classic series where Zero kills Mega Man, Proto Man, Bass and Duo and Dr. Light prepares X for combat in 21XX. Also when Mega Man gets a weapon He'll change when X upgrades His Armor X looks different so It's gotta be possible that X has the Double Gear System

If humans would never allow robots to surpass them, then, like Wily said, they would never be anything more than tools with feelings. I feel like Light created X with Wily's original idea in mind, a shame Wily gave up on it and left behind Zero to punish and ruin the world that wronged him.
In a leaked design doccument for Megaman X, it's shown that Zero was originally "the baddest robot", and that the Maverick virus ironically turned him into a good person.
I donno if it'd be fun, funny or infuriating if they got the guy who did Dr.Light's voice in Mega Man 8 to do it again in this game. lol

It used to bug me too, but tbh it really doesn’t matter. He sounds young enough and the performance is good, so him sounding just slightly too old really isn’t a problem. Besides, it’s the 11th game. I think some aging up isn’t completely inappropriate.
