- "Do I have to work 24/7 to be a great scientist?" Nobel Laureate Paul Nurse explains the dangers of working too hard.
Paul Nurse, who shared the 2001 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his work on the cell cycle, visited China from 14-16 December 2014 as part of the Nobel Prize Inspiration Initiative. Through the Initiative, Nobel Laureates give career advice for young scientists, explain their discoveries and give insights into life after the Nobel Prize.

If brain like a muscle, than, during recovery from training is when you make gains. This fits with what he says
except the brain is made of nerve cells, not muscle cells.
Couldn't agree with you more!👌💯
Beautiful and true
Avoid errors, hit singles, hit doubles, and every once in a while we maybe able to hit a home run...
+Abdullah Saleem And just maybe that rare opportunity for the cycle!
Good point. "Re-Think by Activity" ...However, why is my timing nonexistent when I am absent? Lo Ha
What Paul Nurse is saying is a very old idea. Scholars, scientists etc who just work all the time and never play, are usually 2nd rate. The old quote "All work and no plays makes Joe a dull boy". Ref Dr Anthony Pugh.
I am distinguished Nobel Laureate in Medicine. Saleh Awdaly
The partnership you have with AstraZenca is who producing Covishield right now.
You don't have to be a Nobel Laureate to know that telling UA-camrs not to work too hard is going to be well received. Really nailed the demographic with that one.
brb i'm going to go to the gym now and tell people that age/weight is just a number. Then i'll go to the market and tell people they should always eat fresh. Then i'll go to a hospital, and remind people to make time for the things they love in life, because you'll never know where you'll be tomorrow. And if a surgeon gives me shit i'll tell him not to work too hard. Take it easy. Try new directions. Only attach some of the tubes. Maybe some tubes don't need to be attached? Who knows? You will.
